Yeah... the 2 Caviar blue's were in a RAID-0 for storage and the Velociraptor was for the OS.

wow, cool. i just ordered it. I've been reading that most users replace the stock 120mm fans. I dont know if im gonna do that. Maybe if I get some extra cash(yeah i'm a cheapo) But I cant wait to get it. It should look nice in my living room. How well is the door made? I dont want it snapping off a week later.

yeah the 4890 is the best single chip gpu from ATI. I've since upgraded to the 4870 X2.

I always question why people go with the 940 over the 920? It's what? Like 200$ more than the 920? And only a bit faster?

yeah at the time i was really uninformed and really scared about overclocking, but now I (and Intel) have deemed the 940 a bad choice economically.

I see from reviews that the airflow is horrible in the Cosmo 1000 and was wondering what do you think of the case?

I wish I had it long enough before I rma'd it back to newegg to tell you. At the time I wasn't looking for things like airflow. But, knowing what I know now it probably wasn't the best at stock setup. Adding some fans in the right places would probably help. It's pretty heavy as well...

Yes I was thinking of buying the Cosmo 1000 but now I'll look into the ATCS 840 or Lian Li's full tower line.

Don't get me wrong the Cosmos is a great case, but the ATCS 840 is more updated (removable motherboard try, cut out behind CPU for mounting) and it's made of aluminum.

The Cosmos is steel (in this video), the Cosmos S is aluminum...

Hmm interesting. I always thought the side panels of the Cosmo S and Cosmo were aluminum.

I think the side panels are brushed aluminum, but the structure is steel, which is why it's heavy. I think supertroye means that the ATCS is made completely of aluminum, meaning it's strong but not nearly as heavy.

yeah the cosmos s is more stylin' and does have the extra side and front fan. lol, i've already moved on to the ATCS 840, which is about the same size and lighter!

No problem, and yeah I've seen people get a stable 4.3 GHz OC with AIR COOLING on the 920, and like 4.8+ on liquid!

Dude, I'm sure you've herd this or already knew this, but I think you should have gone with the Core i7 920, it outperforms the 940 by far. The 940 is a very odd chip, not many people I know have been happy with it.

Yeah i wish i would have known that when i bought it. i do see it does have a higher multiplier than the 920, but i still cant get it stable above 4GHz. As soon as I can find a 920 D0 then I'll put this one on eBay. thanks!
