MB Quart Reference REF Mini Series Amps, Space Is NOT An Issue!

i have two mb quart 800w max a piece onyx sub and the MB Quart REF4.80 4-Channel Amplifier. would this amp be a good amp to power these subs

Hi, which amplifier out of these 3 would you recommend and why?

I am either going to get

2 Hifonics BRZ1200.d

2 MB Quart ONX1500.d

or 2 MB Quart Q1.1500.d

I like the MB's the best. Just wondering if their is any preference.

Its going to be 2 amps, powering 2 JL 12W7s

I got the MB Quart RLP254 shallow mount sub... I wanted to pair it with the reference mono amp but my local shop didn't carry them so I ended up with the onyx 1.1000D... a lil bigger in terms of dimension but works great!

Hey mike, Are there going to be any more 8 inch subs in the future? I am looking at getting the 202's are they good subs? what is there xmax? how much power should i give them? i was looking at the onix4.80 and sending a 2ohm load to each of the 4 channels to give the subs 150watts to each of the coice coils. Is this to much for them to handle or do they need even more than this?

@rjhklhjph What is the exact model # you are looking at? We haven't had many requests for 8's in MB Quart and I do not believe there are any plans to produce some anytime soon.

@MaxxsonicsUSAInc I am looking at getting the RWE-202 8" subwoofer. Im not sure axactly when they stopped making them but woofers etc. still has several of them brand new. I have The PVI216 in the front doors and the PVI164 add a woofer in the rear deck and pvi116 coax in the read doors of a ford fivehundred limited and currently have alpine swr 10's but want the MB quart 8's i want SQ rather than thunder but i think mb 8's would be better than alpine 10's

@rjhklhjph The RWE-202's where made by Rockford when they owned MB Quart. Your plan of using the 4.80 and running one voice coil per channel at 2-Ohms on a pair of RWE-202's should work well.

@MaxxsonicsUSAInc oh really, i didnt realize RF had purchased them..Are they same quality as MB's have allways been? im looking for SQ out of these. DO you know what the xmax is on these units, and if not can you locate it? i have all other peramaters, but i also have noticed that when i calculate the box volume that all calculations want a 2-3 cube box but MB recomends .5 cubes per sub...HUH

@rjhklhjph We, Maxxsonics, purchased MB Quart from RF in 2005 and have owned them ever since. I do not have any information on those speakers as those where made by RF prior to our ownership.
