The head of a Terminator rolls on the ground with an insignia burnt on its forehead. Then you hear the Superman theme as the camera focuses on his insignia burnt on the droid's forehead. "'S'alvation is here".

To destroy a man, you first must destroy everything he represents and what makes him who he is, taking on Batman head on would be foolish, but destroy his resources and ability to have access to those resources and technology. Then you have a huge advantage gain over Bats, in Batman Forever destroying the Batcave failed cause his financial assets were not frozen, thus allowing him to rebuild.

Superman's strongest weapon is his will never to give up a will greater than any human, Batman would have to have prep time to stand a chance against Superman. However even then it doesn't mean he stands a chance.
I can round and round arguing with all day with explanations of how Superman could take down Batman easily. Personally I would take Batman down using his own assets. First I would hack and disable him financially. Second I would destroy his batcave and his computer/technology. No assets no rebuilding, then I would play on his fractal psychological mind with similar drugs that Scarecrow uses. Making him believe he is a child seeing his parents being murdered then simply shot him with a 44 Mag.
You have to remember it's like someone smaller and weaker than you, that you let beat you in a fight cause you know you can take the beating. Superman knows he can take a beating from Batman, but Superman knows if he didn't pull his punches back, he would kill Batman with one punch. Superman can cave in a mountain with his fist. If he hit Batman's skull with his fist, it would be like sticking a live grenade inside a watermelon.
Once again you start with these false premisis. Why would Batman go toe to toe in a brawl with Superman? See thats how Superman is used to handling buisness. But the reality is Batman takes on oppenents who are stronger, fastet etc then him all the time. But if they write Superman beating Batman from 20,000 feet up, it wouldn't make for a very interesting battle. However realistically a battle between these two there is no contest, Superman 9 times out of 10 wins, unless Bats has Kryptonite or Superman hasn't got his powers, Batman has no chance.
In addition, to your points on distance Bat's can find ways to get a Sup before he even left orbit. Bat's can attack from a distance as well through alternative methods. 9 x's out of 10 Bat's would be the victor.
What's Batman going to do throw a batarang at him? Batman wouldn't possess anything in his utility belt that would give him enough time to daze Superman at the distance Superman would need to be to avoid the effects of kryptonite. Batman doesn't have the physical strength to lift and throw anything to knock Superman down or in the air. As I said before unless Bats has kryptonite or Superman has no powers, then Batman has no chance. Little with Kryptonite to be honest.

In a sense, yes. He would become something like a human. But if he goes to another solar system with a yellow sun, he'd still be Superman. If he goes somewhere with a red sun, then he'll be like the the people of that sun. It's kinda like how Kryptonite affects him; it simply brings him to our level, which is weak for him. My friend had a rare comic of all the DC characters fighting each other. It was awesome and pretty dark. Apparently everybody fought it down till only batman and superman were left, and you think superman would be the winner, but no! Batman takes a baseball bat strapped with some kryptonite and smashes superman into the ground then gets in the batmobile and runs him down. LMAO!
EVIDENCE???? I seriously doubt that comic issue exists. There are too many DC Characters in the DC Universe that would break crumble and wipe Batman's bones and existance into oblivion. With the likes of Captain Marvel, Black Adam, Superman Martian Manhunter, Batman wouldn't last a second. Batman hitting Superman with a baseball bat with Kryptonite then running him over with the batmobile. Sounds like a childish bias comic book issue, Real batman fans know he wouldn't stand a chance.
It does exist and its not the only issue where batman takes down superman. Check out the Dark Knight returns etc by Frank Miller. Superman is predictable in some ways and batman capitlizes on that.
The problem with Frank Millers Dark Knight is the fight was like pitting an untrained fighter against the world's greatest martial artist who had both hands and legs tied behind his back.
There was too many factors that made the fight a poor case of Batman beating Superman. Take Batman's untity belt away tie his arms and his legs up and I could beat him to death in less than 2 minutes.
There will always be that many factors when fighting batman. He doesnt ram through a mountain and hit anything that moves. He plans everything. It has consistantly been pointed out in the comics, animated sersis etc, that a very common item in his belt is kryptonite. Yes Batman is paranoid/prepared enough that he always keeps a chunk of kyrptonite on him. Why shouldnt he? Bat's has prepared ways to kill/stop most hero's as a fail safe as shown in the comics.
To me Batman is too predictable, relies to heaviely on his utility belt. Destroy his belt, you have a man who can only fight. Batman usually always carries pressurized contains in his utility belt. Apply enough hit to the containers and boom their goes his utility belt, plus causing possible injury to Batman. What I love about the character of Batman is I always figure a solution to getting the better of Batman, well in reality getting the better of the writers.
Obviously batman isnt to predictable. He doesnt always rely on his belt. He always relies on his intellect. He stocks his belt with things he will most like use to defeat said villians with the most ease without killing them. Also Batman has shown us over and over again that he defeats villians without so much as touching his belt. Also you really dont know anything about explosives if you assume a hard hit would make most go boom or even heat for that matter.
In addition, odds are you have not got even the best of the writters. I think a more likely scenario is you never have anyone challenge your point so you assume your correct.

OK, here it is. Superman Returns failed in my eyes and a good friend of mine because if it is a "sequel" to Superman II. It completely missed the theme of Superman II, it was a film about RESPONSIBILITY. Superman gave up everything for the greater good because of his responsibility and Jor El. So, you mean to tell me that this same character just gets up and leaves for 5 years without even a press conference???

I can round and round arguing with all day with explanations of how Superman could take down Batman easily. Personally I would take Batman down using his own assets. First I would hack and disable him financially. Second I would destroy his batcave and his computer/technology. No assets no rebuilding, then I would play on his fractal psychological mind with similar drugs that Scarecrow uses. Batman wouldn't possess anything in his utility belt that would give him enough time to daze Superman at the distance Superman would need to be to avoid the effects of kryptonite. Batman doesn't have the physical strength to lift and throw anything to knock Superman down or in the air. For instance the type of radiation that the Red Sun produces. Which can be reproduced in a variety of ways in the DC universe. If used in enough of a concentrated form it can zap Superman to human strentgh and Bat-a-rang through the skull and its a done deal.

I didn't say Superman couldn't be beat, but you give too much credit for Batman. I have never liked Lex Luther, to me with Lex, Superman has to hold back his power levels same against Batman, if Superman went all out against Batman and Lex like he does with Darkseid they would be dead in seconds

You are right in the sense that it is harder to hold back then go all out. So what if Batmans plans didnt revolve around simply stopping a foe but killing them? no, he keeps a charge for a while, and he can use any sun yellow or younger. Superman under a blue sun for example is far more powerful than he is under a yellow sun, and can give other ppl powers like his for a limited time.

If he goes somewhere with a red sun, then he'll be like the the people of that sun. It's kinda like how Kryptonite affects him; it simply brings him to our level, which is weak for him. My friend had a rare comic of all the DC characters fighting each other. It was awesome and pretty dark. Apparently everybody fought it down till only batman and superman were left, and you think superman would be the winner, but no! Batman takes a baseball bat strapped with some kryptonite and smashes superman into the ground then gets in the batmobile and runs him down. LMAO!

EVIDENCE???? I seriously doubt that comic issue exists. There are too many DC Characters in the DC Universe that would break crumble and wipe Batman's bones and existance into oblivion. With the likes of Captain Marvel, Black Adam, Superman Martian Manhunter, Batman wouldn't last a second. It does exist and its not the only issue where batman takes down superman. Check out the Dark Knight returns etc by Frank Miller. Superman is predictable in some ways and batman capitlizes on that.

The problem with Frank Millers Dark Knight is the fight was like pitting an untrained fighter against the world's greatest martial artist who had both hands and legs tied behind his back.
There was too many factors that made the fight a poor case of Batman beating Superman. Take Batman's untity belt away tie his arms and his legs up and I could beat him to death in less than 2 minutes.

There will always be that many factors when fighting batman. He doesnt ram through a mountain and hit anything that moves. He plans everything. It has consistantly been pointed out in the comics, animated sersis etc, that a very common item in his belt is kryptonite. Yes Batman is paranoid/prepared enough that he always keeps a chunk of kyrptonite on him. Why shouldnt he? Bat's has prepared ways to kill/stop most hero's as a fail safe as shown in the comics.

To me Batman is too predictable, relies to heaviely on his utility belt. Destroy his belt, you have a man who can only fight. Batman usually always carries pressurized contains in his utility belt. Apply enough hit to the containers and boom their goes his utility belt, plus causing possible injury to Batman. What I love about the character of Batman is I always figure a solution to getting the better of Batman, well in reality getting the better of the writers.

He stocks his belt with things he will most like use to defeat said villians with the most ease without killing them. I realized my error I meant to say heat not hit, I know a little about explosivse, but I was refering to that if you apply heat to a pressured container, you increase and expand the pressure in the container eventually exploding as a result. It would be like turning Batman's utility belt into a bomb.
The problem with a lot of enemies/villains they don't think when they fight Batman they just attack and that's what Batman takes advantage of in a battle.

Well Batman would need a lot of power to do anything like that, energy weapons can knock Superman back, but if he moves at Superspeed they won't catch him. Yes but in Millers version, Superman's powers were severely dampered down by the nuclear warehead that threw tons of dust in the atmosphere, bring his power levels much lower, at higher levels Superman's mental levels are increased as well.

It completely missed the theme of Superman II, it was a film about RESPONSIBILITY. Superman gave up everything for the greater good because of his responsibility and Jor El. As far as superman returns, it was the more direct sequel to one and two but I think the whole leaving for 5 years was ehh...alright idea. I wasn't too fond of that but the rest I liked. :)

It's not just a rock though, if you're familiar with what Green Kryptonite does to Superman you'd see why Lex (who is arguably the smartest villian in comics for a human) chose green K meteor rock so that Superman couldn't hurt him.
Superman 4 sucked royally, the worst Superman movie to most but to each his own. Personally, if they were smart they'd get Tom Welling to play Superman. Even most fans wanted him since he kicks ass in Smallville. Man Of Steel will be better then Returns, watch ;)

even if DoomsDay was in the new Man of steel, they already wasted the whole emotional significance of superman being in a hospital... good waste of a possibly great cinematic moment with Returns. For entertainment value keyword ENTERTAINMENT Superman 4 was by far more FUN to watch.

There's been tons of Superman or Death of Superman or near Death of Superman over the years, it's very possible especially in Hollywood but I highly doubt DD will be in a superman film anytime soon..
Superman 4 was entertaining but far from the best Superman, I thought Returns was better honestly because it concentrated on "Why Superman returned" as oppose to just a poor story with random enemies like Nuc Man. That's why I'm interested in the next one, at least the big foe won't be a no-name.

Either way Supe 4 and Returns can't compare with the first 2 movies, but if I had to choose at least Returns had a more reasonable plot...Nuclear Man? I mean come on lol. I liked the whole anti WW weapons gig but Nuclear man was lame....my opinion
