We all have to go, but the way Brad went. :( . I'll never understand why. I wish we as fans could have taken on some of his pain to help him bear it, but that's just a wish, remembering him is the reality. Be forever in peace Brad.
I have always been a true fan of Boston. It hit me hard when I heard he died. I had an opportunity to attend a Boston concert in 1977 but didn't go due due to studying for finals. I regret giving those tickets away now as all I have is the recorded music. They are the best band I have ever heard.
This man was awesome! KILLER voice!! I saw Boston in the late 70's & they were awesome. This guys voice I will miss!! Some major eye-candy too! R.I.P. Brad!!
RIP Brad Delp. He was suffering from depression. It's impossible to understand unless you're the one suffering. I saw Boston back 86 or 87. Talk about a talented bunch of guys. They wrote, played and sang their own music.
It was August 1977.....I had just arrived to a town called Thomasville to a place I had never seen before to join a family I had never met.....As I walked up to the Biggs cottage....suitcase in hand.... I heard this song playing on some kids radio in an upstairs open window.....It's still with me today.
i heard about your death, Mr. Delp, on the radio back in 2007 but never payed my final respects. For what it's worth my mom loved your music (Boston) and I loved listening to it when she had your cassette tape playing in the Plymouth Duster. Rest in peace, Brad. Everyone you left behind loves and forgives you!
Only 72 thousand views and 4 dislikes? What is there not to like? Brad Delp truly epitomized the rock era as a musician. As an old song would say it, the day Brad died was "the day the music died." RIP BD.
Some place, some where, when another being in a distant corner of the Universe hears Earth's broadcast of this amazing voice, their first impression will be without a doubt : the Universe ROCKS...!
its so sad when you think someone has everything and everything to live for.And for them, they have nothing. Its a tragedy...Delp IMO, was one of the top 3 singers and song writers ever. His voice was simply legendary...thank U Delp for letting us be apart of your wonderful career...RIP .
Really so tragic one of the best voices ever... OMG! Every time I hear this song on the commercial I think of how he was just so overwhelmed that he killed himself. It is sooo deeply saddening to realize that such a gifted singer could feel so low and fall deep into the nadir enough to not see another option other than suicide. I was five when this song came out, but I have always loved it because of the lyrics, perfect pitches and the overall beauty of the whole song.
I'm so lucky that BeatleJuice plays in my area, they played my city's fireworks show last night. it was amazing. During the break More than a Feeling came on, and the whole band stopped and seemed to have a moment with each other. Nobody in the crowd even knew. But we did. Me and my fellow 3 friends started clapping. We knew. I never saw him with BeatleJuice, which I believe he is a core founder. but damn is the music great. Brad Delp lives on every time they play a Beatles tune.
I have heard this song 6 million times as we all have and I will happily hear it 600 million more. It is the perfect song. My favorite part? How LONG does he hold that final note for??? In concert footage, it was longer than here! My God, RIP Brad.
I wish I could of known brad. I had No idea that he had such a Deep side to him. I guess I just passed it off as man this guy has got it made. This has to be one of the most requested and played songs ever. It's ironic as hell that the words to this song is what we do when we hear it. It takes me back to the Trail Drive-in in Ashland, KY and watching a girl named Bonnie walk by. Strange how music does that to a person so Brad we created memories together. You with that awesome voice and forever song and me with the courage to catch up to that girl. You will live on through the music and most of all our hearts.
Boston is the greatest band ever, brad and tom are a pair of angels sent from heaven, but we were not worthy of brads pure awesomeness so the lord took him back. brad you will never be forgotten.
i remember laying in bed at night, 6 or 7 years old hearing "more than a feeling" on the radio, and thinking to myself, "i've got to remember this song. this is definitely one of the best." i grew up with this band and they're honestly, i really think, are, if i had to rate all bands and music, number one. this song is truly that way as well. so horribly sad to lose brad delp!
Anybody Who met Brad was truely Lucky!. Brad was maybe Doing to much at the time. Beatlejuice Boston Marriage. The man I'll never be song was maybe a hint that Brad was having some trouble he did not know how to deal with. People please reach out to others they will help you. God Bless Brad we sure miss him.
I cannot believe how disconnected I have become. I feel like he just passed away as I did not know. I am truly sooooooo sad....one of my MOST, if not MY MOST favorite band. Wow...what a way to end a beautiful Thanksgiving day. RIP my beautiful Brad Delp...your voice brought me many a happy days with such a beautiful voice in my head. May God Bless you wherever you may be.
The guitarist in our band "Dave Hines" knew Brad and said he was a great guy. What a talent and he is missed greatly. I never got to hear Brad live, but almost got to see his Beatles tribute band BeatleJuice. From what I understand besides singing the Beatles tunes to a T, he could just about anything. Obviously, the music with Boston is timeless and some of the best amercian Rock ever recorded. Just my thoughts. Paul Brown (from the Killing Devils)
Really nice tribute, one of, if not the best i've seen on youtube, and i think i've watched them all. great job and thanks for putting it together and sharing here.
I noticed that the older he got - there is a real beauty in his face. That broke my heart to look at those pictures.
We all have to learn to understand that depression is an illness. Some even think it is triggered by a virus. It shuts out all rational thinking and causes such profound devastation. Thank you for creating this great tribute and posting it for the rest of us to be reminded of how great he was.
Brad....you and Boston will always remind me of me and my best friend when we were teenagers both of us naive as hell and not having a lick of sense riding around in my 1979 Trans Am....and also of that summer I helped him and his dad build a drag racer which was great for me because my dad was never around...during that time of my life, your music was always on the radio...I wish I could've helped you through your bad times, like your music helped me through mine....thanks and Godspeed
Brad...when your voice soared among the clouds, my spirit found it's wings and soared with you. Today, subsequent flights are as close as the nearest radio.
First album I ever bought and to this day I still crank it up! At 49 yrs old, I still get chill bumps and very fond memories of high school whenever I hear any song by Boston.
Boston (and Brads' voice) are there in my mind as the sound-track to my youth. I can think of no other voice in Rock history as pure and as intense as Brads. I will certainly miss him.
His pipes are almost beyond belief to me what an incredible series of vibrations! From a softspoken, caring, friendly and kind soul. How he must be missed by those close to him.How terribly, terribly sad! Rest In Peace Good Sir!
in the studio he didn't actually sing those super high 'balls in a vice' notes, they were done using a harmonizer and editing the lower harmony parts out.
Brad....you and Boston will always remind me of me and my best friend when we were teenagers both of us naive as hell and not having a lick of sense riding around in my 1979 Trans Am....and also of that summer I helped him and his dad build a drag racer which was great for me because my dad was never around...during that time of my life, your music was always on the radio...I wish I could've helped you through your bad times, like your music helped me through mine....thanks and Godspeed
today is the 3 year anneversary of his death, and im going to post a rememberance video of him myself. love ya brad, you ARE the greatest singer in rock and roll to me
More then a feeling..., what a special man. Thank You Brad for sharing your talent with us!!!!! R.I.P. You are a part of my past.., growing up listening to your music and 20 years later I still get chills listening to your music. You must be a Music Angel in Heaven.., Sorry you had to go too soon!!!!!! xo
O.K. im a grown guy i like to smoke occasionally but i fucking love Boston and i just found out he died a couple weeks ago and im crushed ive never been this sad ever. Shit he was a fucking amazing singer and his music is so positive gosh damn it!
Brad Delp was not a lonely soul. We wish he was here today, but he wanted it this way, I suppose. R.I.P Brad Delp, we've lost the nicest guy in rock and roll.
my brother and i are huge boston fans. my dad got us hooked on bostin some 10 years ago, and ever since more than a feeling has and always will be my favorite song. i will sorelly miss brad and the magic he left behind,
Those of us born in the mid to late 60's and early 70's will always remember a Boston song as part of the sound track of our lives. I, personally, had Boston playing at my wedding and ,four years later, at my first daughters funeral. I can always find a moment where Boston and the unique vocals of Brad high-light the event. God be with you, Brad, for you are most certainly leading the chior in Heaven!!
That G5 he hits in the middle of this song is unbelievable! Kindest man you'd ever meet; warmest soul you'd ever know ... both of which you'd never forget!
There's just some things we are never supposed to understand. This is number one on my list. I miss Boston so much. I miss how, when they came out with a number one hit, I was drawn to it more than any other song.
How could I forget. It was 1976 at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Face value of concert ticket $10.50, Boston, with the release of it's debut album performing More than a feeling. What bands we had coming out of that era! Rest in Peace Brad.
been a fan since 1978. i was only 11. brad is the best ever!!! tom can never replace that kinda voice. but i hope boston will keep on. michael sweet, tommy, fran, all 3 have that special voice that can lead boston. their are other singers that could lead boston, like milli of steelheart. brad would want boston to keep on rockin. miss u brad. if had a dollar everytime your voice inspired me through your music i would have plenty of money!! rip bradley delp.
i remember the first time i heard more then a feeling. i was like 8 or 9 , but even at that age, i was blown away by brad delp's voice. wish you were here. we miss you, brad r i p
He was a friend of a friend of mine. I never met him formally. According to my friend, Brad would have been more interested in how you were doing than about himself. He was a down to earth, caring person from what I heard.
You had a gift that gave me great happiness. Your voice & music has given me joy, peace & happiness since I first heard BOSTON in 1978. I hope that you are at peace now. R.I.P. Brad
damn...I'm only fifteen...and boston became one of my favorite bands like a year ago, and here I am typing Brad Delp into youtube and this comes up...well this slaughtered my joy.
That's when I discovered Boston. When I was a youngster early teens. They inspired me to pick up the guitar. I've been playing ever since. Unfortunately I lost track of Boston. I was inspired out of the blue this very day to go looking for some Boston on Youtube, and found this. It's a weird, and sad feeling.
Brad Delp has to be one of the most pure talented voices ever to have existed. I can imagine heavens gates opening up and hearing this song..lol as corny as that sounds...
i cannot believe you said that! i always imagined heaven's gates opening to "long time." (right when "long time" starts and "foreplay" ends) wow! unbelievable you said that....
We all have to go, but the way Brad went. :( . I'll never understand why. I wish we as fans could have taken on some of his pain to help him bear it, but that's just a wish, remembering him is the reality. Be forever in peace Brad.

Thats quite a shocking and quite frankly, upsetting thing to hear. I hope the music heals you brother :)

In 1976, December, a scared lonely little boy first heard 'More Than a Feeling' on his bed side radio.
Thirty years later, Bradley, I'm still making music with my guitar and my voice.....THANKS TO YOU!

He was a friend of a friend of mine. I never met him formally. According to my friend, Brad would have been more interested in how you were doing than about himself. He was a down to earth, caring person from what I heard.
