I had one this morning and it was a dull but painful experience, that lasted about 30 min! It made me nauseas and crampy and it was constant! But like I said did last long and the doc said it's diff for everyone!
I had this test done this afternoon, both Fallopian tube of mine were blocked talk about disappointment, dr said looks like a polyp is blocking them right in the entrance, so I'll have to have them removed my next menstrual cycle.
@cindy7771 dont do anything after 3 months. i was diagnosed with both blocked tubes last month, been trying for more than a yr and after hsg, i am 1month pregnant now. i reaserched it and it says that sometimes the blockage is caused by spasm.
i had this test this afternoon, it's painful but tolerable. Until now, i still feel the cramps and spasm... im waiting for my result but my OB unofficially read the xray film and said its normal but we need to wait for the radiologist to analyze it.
actually for the CT scan all they did was make me drink this thick weird drink and wait an hour. Then after the hour passed the took my to the exam room. and Injected this dye in my IV, it felt very weird it kind of felt like I peed on myself then I got very warm. after it was done I was cold the rest of the day. I was scared to get it done though.
I had a CT scan done in February (because of pains I was having were on my left ovary) they were able to tell me that I was ovulating and there were no blockages in my system, could a CT scan take place of this procedure?

Whats the point of this test? What if tubes r blocked? Whats next?
My wife has had 4 failed IUIs, and she doesn't want IVF. Thsi is the test Drs recommend to her. But I am not sure whats the benfit
