@sillymonsterfromthe4 its an engine built by mazda and put in a couple ford and mazda cars in the late 80s and early 90s. it was turbo charged from the factory and made around 180 hp or so. i dont think they put any bp-t motors in any US cars tho. i may be wrong on that

@afout07 not that i know of, it was either the B8 (in my Protege DX), or the BP-ZE (Protege LX). Ford escort GT used a BP-ZE, as well as a 92-97 Kia Sephia RS/LS used a BP-ZE. i also think the 323 (same years as the Protege 90 - 94) used either the B8 or BP. the B8 is the SOHC version of the BP DOHC (same everything except a few sensors and the head).

a second look and i can see the engine has enough Tq to separate the fender gap and flex the damn windshield pillars.....the whole front clip is flexing!!

def needs some reinforcement in the front.... a hard launch or shift could fold the body at this rate

thats not a festiva........its a fastiva. a stock festiva is pretty peppy with a mere 85 horsepower...i couldnt imagine 304 horsepower in my festiva

The new Cobra is not a Saleen. It's a Shelby. Which is what the original Cobra cars were anyways. The GT350 and the GT500.

The GT "Cobra" was a Canadian-trim version of the GT and was the EXACT SAME as the GT.

The US Cobra has always been a specific trim-level and has a motor that deviates in a number of ways from the GT engine.

i know we dont think 304 is an astonishing accomplishment on a larger car with a larger displacement engine but dang those festivas are light to begin with, not to mention if they stripped it out. you'll feel every bit of that 304 horses going down the track in that little monster. this guys really got the advantage to the whole weight to power ratio, if they can manage to keep it on the road
