Yea.. in my country we also have the prepaid plan for BB.. it is made specialy for the students that use BB and not yet working. So, if i stop using the BBM plan for a day for example, can I use the wifi instead?
and.. can I only use wifi instead of Postpaid card?
@Smilealwaysya You can use the phone to get online to visit websites using wi-fi without having to pay any fees. But that's it. You won't be able to text or make any phone calls.
@CharmingBullet You are on wi-fi at home or in a location that has wi-fi for faster internet. But you do get internet connection with this phone with their 3G service. The wi-fi will turn off when you aren't connected to wi-fi anymore and then it will use the 3G on its own.
@CharmingBullet yea you should be able to get internet everywhere on ur BB with your data plan.and when your at home you can hook it up to your wi-fi for xtra fast internet use!
I have a Blackberry through Boost & I love it. In the 3 mo. so far I've had zero dropped calls & my payment will be going down this Nov. Most of m y calls are long distance so I have it all unlimited including web access, caller id, call waiting, etc etc. I don't know why most people don't use Boost, cheaper & good service.
@rspaulding The coverage is very good....It is by Sprint...I would check out how well Sprint works where you live to make sure. There are some dead spots. If my husband is travelling 1.5 hours from home, hes using Boost...which also uses Sprint and maybe it drops 2 times for a short minute. Whereas before he had AT&T and the calls were lost way too many times to count in the same exact driving route.
@iiNsTiiNcTzZz No, You no longer have to add an extra $10. They recently (July 20th) changed the plan to include the BB service. It now starts at $35, $45, and $55. Whereas before it was $25, $40, $60 +$10 each plan to add BB service.
@centraliaking12 I have never purchased ringtones but I think you can see the price on their site...If you pay for the plan on their site and use the auto payment method, they add tax to it...I've heard with the top up cards there are is no tax on that........but I can't be 100% certain! I did read that though from their site....under FAQ's I believe it was.
@painfullyxpaige Yes you have to get the phone from VM before your contract ends and have it activated with your current cell # from Verizon before you end your contract with Verizon otherwise you won't be able to transfer your # over. Make sure this is the prepaid plan you wanna keep for a long time tho b/c you won't be able to transfer your # over to another prepaid plan if you decide to switch.
@KristyU2178 thank you :) yeah i am just 17, i had VM before, i liked the, so 35 dollars is cheap every month :) and i am getting the phone in early august, activate it then cancel verizon right?
@painfullyxpaige Yes....Activate the VM phone first....you will have to give them your current Verizon cell # so they can get it from Verizon and in order to do that you're account from Verizon needs to be on/active. After your number is ported over, call up Verizon and cancel service with them....very easy and simple to do!
