  • Larry touch down!! 7:52

  • @elkhornstudio Now you know why Brady is the 2nd best quarterback to play in Boston

  • I miss the Celtics road telecasts on WLVI-TV 56.

  • 8:22 - Geez it's like a layup for him.

  • boston 86 team is the best ever!

  • To me, this 86 team was the best ever. They were just incredible.

  • @trha2222 Agreed. The 86 Celts were incredible on both sides of the ball. They would beat any team in the history of the NBA. Some haters claim they beat the Rockets and not Lakers in the Finals. But truthfullly the Rockets were better. The Twin Towers were amazing (as Sampson had not injured the knee yet) and they crushed the Lakers. The Celts devoured a team that would have won it all most years.

  • It can't be a streak if it only extends for a game. The celtics lost a game, not a losing streak.

  • The thing that all of you people need to remember is that after 85, Larry was putting up these kinds of numbers WITH A BACK INJURY THAT WOULD HAVE ENDED MOST OTHER PLAYERS' CAREERS. KEEP THAT IN MIND. Players now sit out for weeks with a sprained ankle. Bird was the TOUGHEST player ever. He still put up triple-doubles and won an MVP and championship after a career-ending injury. That's why I have to say, as much as I like MJ and Magic, Bird was the best ALL-AROUND player ever.

  • @hrivethead Nah. Go ahead and say it.

    Bird was the best.

    Ever.

    The. Best. Ever.

    Larry. Bird.

  • Bird=MJ in many's opinion as is. If Bird had a touch better athleticism...he would be head and shoulders above all and would be the best player EVER. No doubt.

  • Bird scored 31 and had a triple double and amazingly this game is not in his top 100 best games.

  • Bird abused white players to death to the point they were eliminated from the league particularly the role player. Bird would really go hard at them. Years later, he mentioned that when teams put a white guy on him, he felt insulted.

  • @Ariamaluum Thats unfortunate that Bird thought like that in terms of race, because there were many great white players in the league and on his own team. Also some black players I am sure thought the same way about Bird because he was white, but it had nothing to do with his skin color and everything to do with just how good the player was.

  • @natedaug1. The thing about Bird is that he grew up as a "poor white trash" in French Lick. He didn't relate to the white players because many of them grew up in the suburbs with educated parents like Paul Westphal or the Bobby Jones. Now, he respected Paul Westphal and Jones because they could play. But he didn't respect guys like Kelly Tripuka, Tom McMillen, or Tommy LaGarde due to where they came from and they couldn't play. Yet, a coach was willing to put them one on one with Larry. Over.

  • @Ariamaluum That is still unfortunate that he is judging people on where they come from. I love Larry Bird, and he is one of my favorite players, because he could do everything, pass, shoot, rebound, and was a great team player. If that story is true, he should have just not liked a players game because they were not that good. I don't know if not being good at basketball has anything to do with a persons character at all, frankly, and especially there skin color, but it is disappointing.

  • @natedaug1. Now, Bird was competitive regardless of color as Dennis Rodman, Cliff Levingston, Moses Malone but the truth was the NBA had quotas. I lived in Atlanta since 1979 and they had white players just to sell tickets. But Larry made them look so bad. Against Scott Hastings, Larry stood at the three pt line. Scott didn't know what to do because he was protecting the basket so he finally went after Bird with 5 on the shot and Bird dribbled by and got a three pt. play off his foul attempt.

  • @Ariamaluum Yeah, when Larry was a poor kid in Terre Haute, IN, he was thinking, "Man, I'm going to practice every day, and maybe I'll be able to get in the NBA on one of those white player quotas." Come on, man

  • @mckennal1851. Larry didn't think he was white. He felt he was viewed as "white trash." Big difference.

  • @Ariamaluum Also white trash would denote lazy, and unintelligent...Larry Bird mowed his own grass when he was a millionaire...thats a big reason why they loved him....he was never embarrassed to look like fool if it meant winning the game. He picked up more dirt with his jersey than the boston garden's dust mop diving for lose balls...he had a farm in indiana...and Larry Bird is probably one of the wittiest ,funniest , and most likable superstars ever.

  • @usnate1 . Bobby Knight wasn't too impressed with that or was threatened by that.

  • unlmited offense plus rest

  • simply larry bird is a true legend i like his way of playing very much especially that he's very skilled from the 3 point range

  • dominant

  • The best thing about Larry Bird is that he could dominate a game in a variety of ways and in this case all 3 ways at once and still do it the flow of the game. Those length of the court passes are unreal in their accuracy and his shooting so smooth that it looks effortless!!

  • One of the most complete players to ever lace 'em up. Larry Legend...at his best.

  • Haha. A Celtic game, LD42? That is pure NBA fandom, my friend. Props.

  • Larry Legend 3 straight mvps, loving the vintage uploads LD

  • and real talk i dont like this new you tube set up lol why change it great upload ld keep it up

  • larry legend at it again he was one hell of a shooter but you seem to like bird your a laker fan thats a no no lol
