He and his wife split up. She has his son (I think). One of the reasons was apparently his insane game collection and the time he devoted to it. I seriously doubt that was the only reason, though. There had to be more to it. I do know that a lot of Japanese girls are pretty messed up, from our POV. It is REALLY hard to get along with one long term. I know because I went through a very similar thing to Luke with mine.
For anyone asking, as the video has been removed, he basically lost sight of priorities in regards to his personal life (wife/kid), eventually they left. I don't know what the situation is now, maybe back together, who knows, it's his personal business. His video was real and also a good message for anyone who games/collects, realize that it's just a hobby and to just prioritize your personal life over it, sometimes we get out of hand, it happens to the best of us

Why is everyone getting so worked up over lukemorse1? He chose to spend all his money on games , no one put a gun to his head and told him to buy so many consoles. The only person to blame is himself for not keeping his finances and hobby in check

I do not know Luke like most people here. there is one thing about marriage, It take both as a team to work together. no matter what issues or problems life brings. Video Gaming and collecting was his hobby. I understand if he was passionate about it. It's very sad to see Luke leave, especially under these circumstances. I hadn't been on YouTube at all today, but when I logged on and saw the title of that video my jaw about hit my desk. I can't believe we won't be seeing anymore of him, he was always a great guy and seemed so happy. I'll miss seeing him on YouTube, but given the circumstances, I think what he decided to do was best. This was a nice video, HGC, I hope that Luke is able to see all the support he's getting from the community.

Wow.... I have never been touched that way on youtube before. His video literately made me start to have a fit, and even though we probably will never meet this guy, I am pulling for him in whatever he does and people like him. People make mistakes, that is life.. it is so tragic to see anyone go through what he went though.

This doesn't surprise me; he made like 3 or 4 videos a day. I was gonna send him a message to slow down and take it easy, because I couldn't possibly watch all his videos at the pace he was making them. But I guess it's too little, too late.
It's true, man... 4 minutes and 21 seconds that he embodied his sorrow in did no justice to the situation. He is absolutely heartbroken because of what happened, and it's really good that people are making these videos to show how much they enjoyed having him around while it lasted. What really burns me up is that he's getting flamers that are lurking in the shadows with those shitty comments. That upsets me, because he's learned his lesson: how could you make him go any lower?

I watched the video and it's definitely sad. Luke always seemed like a really good guy. But this is proof positive that like many other things on the internet, YouTube can damage and ruin lives. Whether it's internet porn, social networking, online RPGs(WoW) or YouTube, all of these things should be used in moderation. I won't say any names, but there are A LOT of YouTube users who seemingly make videos 24/7 and really need to get back out in the real world.

Was the first video I watched in the morning, I had to re watch it because I didn't believe it at first, he was also the nicest most cheery guy. I had been wondering where he had been since he wasn't really putting up videos, than to find that out I was truly sad and I wish him the best, and who knows, maybe a while down the line he will give us all an update. It is VERY sad however the guy isnt dead people... it was his own personal choice to spend his time on the videos and not with his family.
Youtube should stay a hobbie and not run your life.

Luke was a legend. I loved how he said "alriiight at the begining of his videos. You never know, times are hard for him now but does anyone else got the feeling we will see him in a year or two. I reckon he will bounce back but untill then, luke is STILL the man! Period!

I still can't believe something like this could have happend!!! I really do feel for the guy and do prey that things do work out for him. But in a way he does a have a point.... It was really fucked up, what happened to him. I always saw him as the luckiest bastard in the world; and now to see him like this is a real spirit breaker. Let's all hope he'll be okay after that kind of a mess was dropped on him.

It's very sad to see Luke leave, especially under these circumstances. I hadn't been on YouTube at all today, but when I logged on and saw the title of that video my jaw about hit my desk. I can't believe we won't be seeing anymore of him, he was always a great guy and seemed so happy. I'll miss seeing him on YouTube, but given the circumstances, I think what he decided to do was best. This was a nice video, HGC, I hope that Luke is able to see all the support he's getting from the community.

Wow.... I have never been touched that way on youtube before. His video literately made me start to have a fit, and even though we probably will never meet this guy, I am pulling for him in whatever he does and people like him. People make mistakes, that is life.. it is so tragic to see anyone go through what he went though.

This doesn't surprise me; he made like 3 or 4 videos a day. I was gonna send him a message to slow down and take it easy, because I couldn't possibly watch all his videos at the pace he was making them. But I guess it's too little, too late.

It's true, man... 4 minutes and 21 seconds that he embodied his sorrow in did no justice to the situation. He is absolutely heartbroken because of what happened, and it's really good that people are making these videos to show how much they enjoyed having him around while it lasted. What really burns me up is that he's getting flamers that are lurking in the shadows with those shitty comments. That upsets me, because he's learned his lesson: how could you make him go any lower?

I'd also like to mention that, I wouldn't have a single clue as to what was going on right now if HappyConsoleGamer hadn't introduced me to Luke in the first place. I can't thank him enough for that.
Luke's one of the people on youtube that got me interested in retro gaming, and I was lucky enough to find out about his channel. I feel like we have all, as a whole, grown closer to him because of his great personality and qualitative commitment to making videos.

I watched the video and it's definitely sad. Luke always seemed like a really good guy. But this is proof positive that like many other things on the internet, YouTube can damage and ruin lives. Whether it's internet porn, social networking, online RPGs(WoW) or YouTube, all of these things should be used in moderation. I won't say any names, but there are A LOT of YouTube users who seemingly make videos 24/7 and really need to get back out in the real world.

Was the first video I watched in the morning, I had to re watch it because I didn't believe it at first, he was also the nicest most cheery guy. I had been wondering where he had been since he wasn't really putting up videos, than to find that out I was truly sad and I wish him the best, and who knows, maybe a while down the line he will give us all an update. Whatever the outcome maybe I just hope he finds happiness. You're a good buddy for showing your support.
