  • That is so beautiful. I have been working on this song for a while now, and this definitely inspired me to work harder at it and it has given me an ear to how it should really sound. Thank you :)

  • im sorry, im learning this song and your hands hit the piano after the sound at the end. This is recorded... i think

  • I don't think I've ever ears Rondo Alla Turca played so professionally in my life. I've heard so pianist after pianist either play the song with little meaning, or attack the song. But I really heard the "march" in how you played this, without attacking it. Your hands were steady and graceful. Wow.

    Bravo.

  • 3:29 - 3:37 - why, mozart, why didnt you make this part longer.. its the best part of the whole song in my opinion.. could listen to it over and over again!

  • @hellangel28 -- I agree! this passage always reminds be of a dog barking -- a dog with a very high-pitched voice ... or perhaps a human high-pitched laugh -- have you seen Amadeus :) ? could it be the composer himself do you think?

  • this is one of the best recordings of this song on whole youtube!

  • It took me one whole year to learn this.... :)

  • Inspired me:)

  • @asiluoz -- I'm glad and thank you for saying so.

  • oh, God, I'm crying! The last part is so amazing...

  • Awesome! I wish the camera didn't move to different angles, I would like to watch the whole thing from the top only, I'm learning this song and the end is the most difficult. It might take a lifetime to play like that though.

  • can somebody help me? My technique is really bad when the A major motif is staggered at the octaves (3:03) my hands don't feel strong enough to play fluently, I always have to slow down when it comes to it. How can I fix this? :/

  • Great interpretation!!!

  • OH MY GOD. That was awesome!! Did you see his hands?? I couldn't follow them!! OMG

  • @Charlotte1584 If you think this is crazy check Paul play Rachmaninoff's Prelude in G minor, or Fantasie Impromtu (the prelude has better quality, though).

  • Very well done ! congratulations !

  • Hi, really well played. Could you tell me which note have to be played first in the thrill at 0:50 and how many times do you repeat the two notes ?

    Thanks in advance.

  • perfectly executed! Congratulations...

  • I had to play this at a recital once, in high school, and I have absolutely no memory of the recital, either during, before or after; but I do remember one evening that my best friend came to the house while I was practicing this, and she sat in the living room and listened to me play... why is it memorable when you are playing for a friend, but a whole anonymous audience can disappear from memory

  • Wow. I learned this song when I was 8 or 9. I could play it, but I had TINY hands, so it was WAY harder than it should have been. Sure, I could play it at full speed, but this dude's hands GLIDE across the piano. It would take me another month to be this good, so it would take TWICE as long. I can't play it any more though. I started learning other songs. I do play a bit of this from time to time though. I love this song though, even though I played it 3 years ago. Still a great song. : )

  • perfect! really great!

  • woooow i wish i could play this song on piano!

  • nice job, Mr.Barton.

  • well played-good dynamics

  • Wow, first time ever I heard you play Mozart, and a really great job you do too. I'd love to hear you play his C minor concerto, would you consider uploading it?

Now I'm off to look for Ms. Charbonnier's book. Nannerl was supposed to be as talented as her brother, and no doubt had she lived today, she would have become just as famous. Thanks Paul!

  • great piece, i'm learning it now a little tricky, but nice light touch

  • so amazing!

i practised for like 2 hours after watching this

    :P

  • @nessieb14 me too .. i was like;; OKAY! IF HE CAN DO IT.. I CANN lol.. but i cant XD

  • how often are you using the pedal?

  • Superb, indeed. I have added this one to my favorites. :-)

  • A flawless and musical performance of Mozart's delightful and touching piece in the "Turkish" style !

  • 5 STARS!! SUPERB!! Once again...exactly the way it SHOULD sound!

  • Belo som o do piano :D

  • I tried this today, so difficult, I always make mistakes :P

    You played so well

  • Always a pleasure to hear you play Mozart

    Thank You.

  • RIP Mozart, he was a good friend of mine.

  • @TurkiyeCumhurbaskani I am a big fan of his work you knew him?

  • imagine the king hearing this for the first time!!!

this is all about showing off, for mozart, and is to be expected, such joy and lightness of being by paul, the pianist here..

    bravo

    douglas

    encore

  • 20 - 30 hours i think

  • Magnificent.

  • HOLY....that was amazing. I can only imagine the hours it took to master that so well. I'm sure if Mozart were still alive today, he would have been moved to tears hearing one of his most famous pieces played that well!

  • fantastic playing !!!!!bravooooooo

  • yes, definetly the best video of alla turca on youtube. the other ones just simply..suck. i dont "feel it" when i listen to theirs but yours is just awesome man.

  • Perfect Timing...at last!

  • Lol, he flip-flopped CCEE G CCEEG and AACC E AACCE... :P he put the high E's and High C's first when he came back through the second time, very sneaky. :D Sound better too.

  • @Leitilumo i agree :D really cool cause i only play by hearing ]: im only 11 turning 12 in 2 days :D

  • @Leitilumo i have no idea what you just said...but i agree

  • @Leitilumo What? Were you watching the same video? Where exactly is there a CC followed by an EE and G?

  • 5 Stars for playing it so smoothly. What everyone is failing to notice is that he messed up on the CCE(high)E G CCE(High)E G, AAC(high) C E AAC(high)C E. He did the high E's first, and the high C's first. I used to play it like that until I listened to a recording and asked my choir director about it. The correct way is the simpler way, but your way I like much better, though it isn't how Mozart wrote it. ^.^ Very Nice still, and anyone who gets angry can check the sheet music.

  • no words to describe.. SicK!!!!!! 5 stars*****

  • You made a difficult piece looks easy. 5 stars performance!

  • This is truly an outstanding performance. There are a lot of videos of Rondo Alla Turca on youtube and this one really stands out. I particularly like how you bring out the left hand in some parts.

  • Wow, simply amazing !

You play very well Paul, congrats !

  • Good shit, gave you a 5.

  • WOW NO PEDAL 4 MOZART......

  • WOWWEE

  • PaulBarton, this is one of the best versions of Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca that I've heard. Your use of dynamics are wonderful. Well played and bravo!

    Clay

  • Extremely good! :) 5*

    Thomas

  • Beautiful Mozart!

  • such a fantastic performance - well done! I think even Mozart himself would have been pleased with that!

  • Very many thanks again, Khwan and Paul.

    Love, Rita

  • I love the way you varied the tremolo octaves in the second repeat near the end :) xx
