@wippleandie that is called scatting Ella Fitzgerald was well known I think it was from the 40's for this type of singing. It is a part of Jazz singing. Hope this helps. Look up Ella Fitzgerald videos here on the Tube for more info.

@GUAlliance Not ashamed to say her death saddened me deeply... We just lost one of our generations greats... 1 in billion... She gave the world this wonderful music that we will sympathize with and fall in love with for years to come. its just a shame she couldnt stick around longer and break out of her darkness. She has opened up a whole new genre for so many young new artists, its classic sixties brought into the 21st century, moving, inspirational and true to our times. Rest in peace Amy.
