I like the fact that Liam neeson came back to do the voice of Qui gon again and which episode is this and how much of him do we see in the clone wars?
Qui-Gon Jinn, for me was one of the best Jedi's. Is a shame he got killed on the first episode. They should use him at least on episode lll as a force spirit.. Good to see this character back on Clone wars.....
Qui-Gon made the most stupid decisions than any jedi ever did. It's a miracle he didn't get everyone killed like 10 times. Watch RedLetterMedia's Star Wars review, and he'll carefully tell you how much of an asshole Jinn was.
@MrJamesBourne I literally had no opinion of Jinn before, his character was just bland. There's nothing wrong with being persuaded or convinced into an opinion, especially when someone convinces you in such a detailed manner.
Were Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor casted for this series? They sound a lot like them. If not the casting team did a pretty good job on the voice actors.
@bjb249248 Liam neeson actually did come back to reprise his role as Qui-Gon, Ewan sadly did not his voice is done via a fella called James arnold taylor who i have to say does a very good ewan impression. I havn't actually watched this series but i plan to i find it sad they couldn't get hayden to do anakin from what i've seen im not a fan of the guy who portrays him in the tv series he doesn't seem to fit
thats stupid because in episode 3 yoda says ''there is another man from the world of the force, your old master''(< somethink like that) and obi-wan says ''qui gon!!! :O '' because he never saw him since his death
@wackofilm Well, the Clone Wars show is a mixture of both canon and non-canon. So it isn't surprising to see something like this. Kind of stupid to transition between the two, but the studios are making more money off of it than I am on any of my ideas, lol.
@Dagnown163 For all Obi-wan knows he is dead... Last I checked people don't come back from that condition to often. so either Obi is being tricked or something. Saber up for safety.
Didnt Ben and Aniken get ther minds cleand later in this eps?`The brother and sister of the force died and there father cleand ther so Aniken dont remember his "dark side" and turn to it to soon.
@tk4794 i disagree, liam neeson is awesome but they way in which lucas wrote the character of qui-gon it made him shit. Qui-Gon is meant to be a powerful/wise jedi but in TPM he did nothing right. At the start of the film obi-wan says he senses a trap but qui-gon replies i dont sense anything and 2 minutes they're getting shot at, he failed to perform a mind trick on a salesman, he made the "wise" decision to bring a 10 year old boy to a war and finally he was killed.
@MetallicaMadMan666 I like how you turned "Toydarian" (force mind trick resistant species) into "salesman", and how you made getting killed sound like a decision he made, or his own fault at all. He had to bring Anakin with him, where should he have left him? And he even did several things right, so what you say is not true.

@tk4794 the character of Qui-Gon could have been awesome, right until Lucas started putting pen to paper and messed up what could have been a great Jedi. Im not trying to be a dick or start an arguement with you, im just stating my opinion.
All you people saying Liam Neeson has the perfect voice for Qui Gon are all wrong! Epically wrong. I think either Bobcat Goldthwait or Gilbert Gottfried would make a way better Qui Gon Jinn. :D
@legodarknight101 Ikr, The Clonewars "may" have fit in between EpII and III. But things like this fucked it up. Even when Anakin turns to the darkside in the clonewars, completley fucks up the end of episode III.
so the reason it turns out okay with Obi-Wan finding out he can see Qui-Gon at the end of episode III, is because its all kind of a dream and never really happened, is that right? because i could never figure out how it all works out, someone please explain, thank you
@OpenGLSecond I have seen the movies, trust me I'm a diehard fan, but it doesn't make any sense that he sees Qui-Gon here, but then finds out that he can see him in the end of Episode III. that's all I'm wondering
I think what he meant is that it's bullshit that it's an inconsistency between the clone wars timeline and the revenge of the sith one. But then, only the movies are considered canon, right?

@xMedicYuurarax There was a lot of random stuff happening at the time. Quite frankly, he may have believed that Qui-Gon was simply an inhabitant of the planet taking his shape. All things considered, that MAY have been the case.
@xMedicYuurarax I thought it was fairly obvious, but I guess not. Clearly, Obi-Wan thought that Jinn reappearing was a one off, after all this planet was apparently so strong in the force that Obi-Wan just thought it was a vision, and not actually Qui-Gon's force spirit

@xMedicYuurarax lol tht was my reaction too until i was told tht Obi-Wan is taught how to communicate with Qui-Gon @ the end of Episode III instead of Qui-Gon communicating with him during the clonewars..sounds stupid but avoids the scriptwriters mistake of putting qui-gon in the clonewars
@KidMagnum Don't demand that someone watch a show and then call them a fanboy. It's hypocritical but I know what you mean. He/She's just being pedantic.
@GummyLawd Not being hypocritical if it's true...you can't talk shit until you've seen it for yourself. Hypocritical would be.........well, let me put it this way; this not being hypocritical lol.
The only proplem where the storries get a little hairy is that he did'nt know Qui-gon could come back from the grave until Episode III. But still great too see Liam return. Terriffic episode.
it makes no sense for qui gon to appear here cause obi wan didnt figure out that he could even communicate with him until episode 3 when yoda told him. this whole clone wars series is bullshit, there was no reason it should've been created at all.
Gin: simple, its all Watto, he is the key to everything in to cosmos, find him and place a pod race bet. make sure the bet includes the AZT speed bike modifier. tell him that if he wins have him pay the entry fee, but give him 20% back then another 80% then ask 150% give 56% back and take the part. if you win buy the part anyway. then fly to Coruscant.
Every time I watch this, I'm fascinated by Obi-Wan's reaction to seeing the spirit of Master Qui-Gon; the surprise, the retreating and igniting his lightsaber as if to ward off the specter... 0:08 - 0:15 is very revealing.
Fast forward to after ROTS, when Obiwan speaks to Qui Gon again
Obiwan: "Uh, yeah... you know that kid you wanted me to teach? Well he killed Mace Windu, killed a bunch of defenseless kids, and helped Palpatine become the Emperor."
Qui Gon: "Don't worry he will kill the Emperor one day"
Obiwan: "And when will that be?"
Qui Gon: "Oh about 20 years after he's hunted down the rest of the Jedi, helps to blow up a planet, and kills countless of people"
@RoninDave Luke is the chosen one, Anakin, his father. When they(cause Yoda/Windu and company felt it too) sensed the power within him, Luke(in sperm form lol) was inside him, so basically Luke inherits the power. Which explains why they felt Anakin was the chosen one. And actually, Anakin was indeed very special, I mean, who ever blows up an entire planet is special in one way or the other. Not to mention everyone loved to cut off his body parts(arms/legs) so I guess thats special too? XD
@creedjeremy If by balance you mean join the Sith take control of the galaxy for several years; and by kill the emperor you mean almost extinguish the Jedi's. Your right, he is indeed the chosen one. XD
Man, I feel horrible for Obi-Wan... when Ani first came into the picture, he had to basically share his master's affections with a boy who, at the time, may or may not be the Chosen One, and that definitely put a strain on their relationship. Then, as he's watching his master die, his last words are only about Anakin, and how Obi-Wan must train him. And now here, after not seeing Qui-Gon for so long, -all- he can talk about is Anakin.
@CaptainMandie Cause in reality, Qui-Gon, a long time a go, was drunk and fucked Anakin's mom and erased her memory with some old fashioned Jedi mind tricks. Then when he realizes Anakin was his son, he claims he's the chosen one only to make up for leaving him bastard for the first years of his life. In "The Phantom Menace" when he takes some blood samples and tests them, he wasn't checking Midi-chlorians, he was performing a paternity test.
I guess this has to do with the fact that the planet is some kind of Force center of the universe of something... This might explain why Qui-Gon learned how to communicate with Yoda later on... If you watched the episode, you can figure out that Qui-Gon's ghost might have been just that, a spirit... while Anakin's mother and Ahsoka's future self were just the Son disguised as them...
I definitaly need to watch the whole episode im completly lost, it this the real Qui-Gon as in Master Qui-gon not the voice actor because i know that is Liam. anybody have a link to the Episode?
this screwed up. why? cuz in episode 3 at the end yoda told obi-wan that qui-gon learned the path to immortality (force ghost) and kenobi was surprised. but now he already learned? im glad neeson is back but this doesnt make sense. and why does he take out his lightsdaber when he sees qui-gon anyway?
@BuellerBueller95 Obi-Wan specifically asks "How are you here?" - Implying he has no idea that Qui-Gon can do this. Qui-Gon, in turn, never answers the question - implying that Obi-Wan may presume that it is the planet that allowed Qui-Gon to come forth.
@BuellerBueller95 It actually makes sense because in Episode 3, Obi-Wan seems to know that Qui-Gon learned this skill. Qui-Gon explains why it is so on Mortis, and then he must learn it in a better way somewhere else and Obi-Wan knows Qui-Gon learned this ability because of how he appeared on Mortis.
@BuellerBueller95 Hopefully this will clear things up. Obi-Wan didn't believe it was really Qui-Gon on the planet. He thought it was a trick by the three ancient ones to get him to lower his guard and that's why he pulled out his saber. Later when the evil one attacked them this solidified his belief that it was a trick. In Episode 3 when Yoda told him that Qui-Gon had become immortal Obi-Wan was surprised. Because that's when he realized that the ghost really was Qui-Gon.
@BuellerBueller95 He probably took out his lightsaber because he didn't understand why he saw his deceased master.
Even though he had seen Qui-gon's ghost before, he didn't understand it, and thats why he was surprised at the end of Episode III, when he heard what he had done.
Qui Gon returning was the only good thing about these 3 episodes. The whole story was stupid.

Obi: what must i do?
Gin: simple, its all Watto, he is the key to everything in to cosmos, find him and place a pod race bet. make sure the bet includes the AZT speed bike modifier. tell him that if he wins have him pay the entry fee, but give him 20% back then another 80% then ask 150% give 56% back and take the part. if you win buy the part anyway. then fly to Coruscant.
Obi: then what?
Gin: you will have a speeder part dummy
Obi: .......thanks allot Aslan.
Gin master of the silly bets! :P

Every time I watch this, I'm fascinated by Obi-Wan's reaction to seeing the spirit of Master Qui-Gon; the surprise, the retreating and igniting his lightsaber as if to ward off the specter... 0:08 - 0:15 is very revealing.
luvondarox 8 months ago
Fast forward to after ROTS, when Obiwan speaks to Qui Gon again
Obiwan: "Uh, yeah... you know that kid you wanted me to teach? Well he killed Mace Windu, killed a bunch of defenseless kids, and helped Palpatine become the Emperor."
Qui Gon: "Don't worry he will kill the Emperor one day"
Obiwan: "And when will that be?"
Qui Gon: "Oh about 20 years after he's hunted down the rest of the Jedi, helps to blow up a planet, and kills countless of people"
Obiwan: "Ummm... whose side are u on?"
RoninDave 9 months ago 4
@RoninDave Luke is the chosen one, Anakin, his father. When they(cause Yoda/Windu and company felt it too) sensed the power within him, Luke(in sperm form lol) was inside him, so basically Luke inherits the power. Which explains why they felt Anakin was the chosen one. And actually, Anakin was indeed very special, I mean, who ever blows up an entire planet is special in one way or the other. Not to mention everyone loved to cut off his body parts(arms/legs) so I guess thats special too? XD
pachendrix 8 months ago
@pachendrix no, anakin is the chosen one, he's the one who balanced the force and killed the emperor didn't he?
creedjeremy 3 months ago

How sad is that?
CaptainMandie 10 months ago 7
@CaptainMandie Cause in reality, Qui-Gon, a long time a go, was drunk and fucked Anakin's mom and erased her memory with some old fashioned Jedi mind tricks. Then when he realizes Anakin was his son, he claims he's the chosen one only to make up for leaving him bastard for the first years of his life. In "The Phantom Menace" when he takes some blood samples and tests them, he wasn't checking Midi-chlorians, he was performing a paternity test.
pachendrix 8 months ago
That HAS to be liam neeson because his voice is so awesome that NOBODY could copy him
jpcantor1455 11 months ago
I guess this has to do with the fact that the planet is some kind of Force center of the universe of something... This might explain why Qui-Gon learned how to communicate with Yoda later on... If you watched the episode, you can figure out that Qui-Gon's ghost might have been just that, a spirit... while Anakin's mother and Ahsoka's future self were just the Son disguised as them...
DarkGabe22 1 year ago
I definitaly need to watch the whole episode im completly lost, it this the real Qui-Gon as in Master Qui-gon not the voice actor because i know that is Liam. anybody have a link to the Episode?
Michy103 1 year ago
this screwed up. why? cuz in episode 3 at the end yoda told obi-wan that qui-gon learned the path to immortality (force ghost) and kenobi was surprised. but now he already learned? im glad neeson is back but this doesnt make sense. and why does he take out his lightsdaber when he sees qui-gon anyway?
BuellerBueller95 1 year ago 5
@BuellerBueller95 Clearly you didn't watch the episode. It makes PERFECT sense in context.

@shineboxmedia Wasn't he supposed to be an illusion?
leauxbert 11 months ago
@shineboxmedia what is this episode called?
slytman85 7 months ago
@BuellerBueller95 Obi-Wan specifically asks "How are you here?" - Implying he has no idea that Qui-Gon can do this. Qui-Gon, in turn, never answers the question - implying that Obi-Wan may presume that it is the planet that allowed Qui-Gon to come forth.
Skrayper 1 year ago
@BuellerBueller95 It actually makes sense because in Episode 3, Obi-Wan seems to know that Qui-Gon learned this skill. Qui-Gon explains why it is so on Mortis, and then he must learn it in a better way somewhere else and Obi-Wan knows Qui-Gon learned this ability because of how he appeared on Mortis.
ultamitestarwars224 11 months ago
@BuellerBueller95 I never liked these Clone Wars series... I feel the screw up the continuity in the saga :S
harrisxxx 8 months ago
@BuellerBueller95 Hopefully this will clear things up. Obi-Wan didn't believe it was really Qui-Gon on the planet. He thought it was a trick by the three ancient ones to get him to lower his guard and that's why he pulled out his saber. Later when the evil one attacked them this solidified his belief that it was a trick. In Episode 3 when Yoda told him that Qui-Gon had become immortal Obi-Wan was surprised. Because that's when he realized that the ghost really was Qui-Gon.
Neongamer1 8 months ago 2
@BuellerBueller95 He probably took out his lightsaber because he didn't understand why he saw his deceased master.
Even though he had seen Qui-gon's ghost before, he didn't understand it, and thats why he was surprised at the end of Episode III, when he heard what he had done.
MetaMagnus31 5 months ago
is this supposed to happen before or after Episode III? cuz at the end of Episode III yoda sends obi wan to connect with qui gon or something...
