  • i am so amazed....they can eat together and live together...my shiba would totally go ballistic!

  • The feeding part reminds me of when I had 9 dogs. Getting them together before putting food down was crazy, but once all the food was down they all knew where to eat and who to stay away from. Certainly reminds me of when I was a kid.

  • do they all have aggressive, stubborn, mischievous, clever personalities? i was just wondering if you noticed anything different/peculiar about the breed.

  • @avagurlie

I think it's obvious that they all have their own personality/character.

I'm not sure what you mean when you ask if I noticed anything different or peculiar about the breed. Different compared to what...?

  • @redshibaman it is not obvious they have their own personalities from this video. i was just wondering what each of their personalities were like.

  • this is sooo cute! i love how at the end when there waiting to be fed the only one barking is the non shiba!!

  • were did you get your shibas?

  • @ShibaBakaInu

In this video there are 7 Shibas. Two are imports from Japan; two are imports from America and the other three are from the Netherlands.

  • They are playing king of the hill....lol, cute dogs

  • are they puney?

  • @bondmania007 no shibas r more medium sized

i wish they wered but we could only get a smaller dog.....but hes still adorable!!

  • Don't know why your adult shibas are still so cute. before my shiba was extremely cute. But after it has grown up, it grew slimmer and more aggressive.

  • With this information only, I can't give you advice. I even don't know where you are from...

I suggest you contact a local kennel club and if you can't find any, then contact AKC (= American Kennel Club). That is, if you are from the USA. If you are not, then go to the national Kennel Club of your country. Try to find a dog trainer that is a specialist in dog-behaviour.

    Good luck!

  • Actually. This happened to my 4 year old Shiba Inu too. When he was about 3 1/2 he got brutally attacked by another dog, I was far away and wasn't watching at the time but I ran as fast as I could once I saw and heard. He has a HUGE patch of furr missing under his neck and he was bleeding slightly. Ever since - he HATES other dogs.

He was so good before that.

  • What a shame! I can't even tell you how many dogs have rushed at us while we're out walking....my dog isn't always the one to start a fight, but he'll sure finish it for you! He has since made friends with two very gentle female dogs, but that's it. He just can't get over his fear of other dogs running toward him, or getting in his face.

  • I believe the best way to tame a Shiba is to make a strong commitment to to building a personal relationship with your pup. I found the best way to do this is lots of petting, hugging, and sincere attention to the dog. I did this with my rescue Shiba everyday for at least a half hour and she responded well. Finally, after six months she forgot her last family and she calmed considerably. But, she remained energetic and fun

  • Whenever I read up on Shiba Inus, I keep reading warnings that say "You should have experience with the breed in particular" or something along those lines; or something like "It's highly recommended that you have experience w/ dogs before choosing this breed." Have you found any of these caveats pertinent when you bought your first Shiba Inu?

    Thanks!

  • I think it's much more important to have knowledge of dog behaviour in general and how to interpret this behaviour. When kept alone or in a group. A reputable breeder will inform the buyer of the Shiba about the Shiba's character. The nice things, but also the negative things. And there are... My first Shiba (he is 16½ years old now) came into our lives without us having any knowledge of the breed. However, I had dogs around me my whole life. And this helped a lot in understanding the breed.

  • So Kawaii :)

  • omg 7 shibas you have your hands full!

  • Very cool. we have two shibas, m/f, that used to fight about once a month. now they are 9 and 12 years old and are very mellow.

  • how do you tell them all apart?

  • haha those 2 are up on that thing and that one is like hey i want up there then they look like their saying "this is the cool dogs spot u cant come up"

  • looks like a little fox

  • Oh I love them :D

  • how you do that amazing....

i never see 7 shiba's in one room

    unless opposite sex...

ther mas ba male and male ther...

    amazing!!!!!

  • Cute!!

  • I love your dogs and the sheer amount of little fluffy shiba tails. It's so cute!

  • I wish my shiba socialized like that. She can be very possesive when it comes down to certain things. Needless to say I love the breed and you have some very beautiful shibas of your own.

  • It's obvious that someone is a VERY good dog owner! 10/5!

  • How can you tell them apart? :o

  • wow where do you live?! that's great... they are so behaved.

  • Dordrecht, The Netherlands

  • mine shiba dose that alot lol

  • aw, they're playing king of the mountain :) hehe

  • vette shiba inu's!

  • I can't believe how well-trained your "pack" is to eat like that!! Clearly you have an order for which dogs are alpha and eat first! BEAUTIFUL Shibas.

  • my wife and I love your videos - we have two red shibas of our own (Tigger (female) and Wylie (male)) - what are your pups names?

  • these guys are great - how do they get on with the sheep?

  • They get along just well. I have to be on my guard they don't eat the sheep-poop, because the dogs love it... LOL

B.t.w., the three outside were 2 girls ind 1 boy.
