  • not screamed.I've been trained as a countertenor, which comes in handy when I'm instructing contralto. I'm capable of holding it out for several seconds if the song calls for it. I have a song called Love Mutant that is one note short of an octave higher than the note at 3:19. I applaud your panning though! :) Basses unite!

  • @80dKeys great concert you sound like a rushing airplane... boommmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  • That "note" he emits from his mouth at 3:19 is screamed, not sung. I can whistle scream near Mariah's register but that doesn't mean it is singing.

  • The women in the audience are all wondering to themselves "how low does it hang?"

  • Casey - that's not a Bb1, it's a Bb0.

    I am impressed, really.

  • And a Bb5 at the top.

So yeah, that's 5 octaves right there.

I also heard an F#4 in chest voice, which is also very impressive - I can't reach that without shouting, and I bottom out at C#2.

    There is no justice :(

  • We're tuned down a half step :)

  • What do you mean?

  • The high note is the same as Freddy Mercury hits in Bohemian Rhapsody "For MEeeeeeeee" lol I'm working on singing all of the parts. :) I believe that's a Bb6 but don't quote me on that :)

  • @80dKeys It's not Freddy, it's Roger Taylor, the drummer ! Freddy hits the bass F2 :D

Nice video; I'm impressed of your bass technic. I progressed, now I can hit C#2 all day, sometimes the C2 all day long and yesterday Bb1 at 1 p.m. :)

  • HOLY COW!!!

that was tenor Bb (Bb5)... because soprano Bb is Bb6

but that ultra low note at the end... OMG!!

I wish I could do that man...

you have a special gift with your bass voice n_n

    Bye Bye

  • Are these official guiness records? Also, is the soprano Bb a Bb5 or a Bb6? Either way it's higher than my F5 falsetto!

As for the low notes, if I sleep for about 12 hours so that my vocal cords are super loose, and the first thing I do is hit my lowest note in modal voice, I can reach a B1, one semitone higher than the note in the video.

There are also non-modal voice techniques I can use to hit notes too low to measure precisely with my equipment.

  • Just wow ;O I couldn't even dream of a range like that lol. Great job ;p

  • Very nice Casey!

  • Monster singing! Rocking band! Get a better videographer! ;-)
