It does not empower the workers, but rather puts them at the hands of a state bureaucracy, which is no better than a corporate bureaucracy. People also have no freedom in their personal lives, they are molded into drones. It is bad for all the reasons that capitalism is bad.
This song will make lot more sense if you replace "Kim Jone Il" with "China".
