Hey there, I'm looking for some advice. What belgian beers (that are widely available) would you reccommend if I said I was looking for something to rival hoegaarden. I've tried leffe and wasn't a big fan, also tried some duvel aswell but still haven't found one to beat it. Thanks, lozz.

Handy tip when the wife has hid the bottle opener when she thinks you had enough to drink.. Defo goin to store this wan in ma memory data base..lol

Hello. Have a look at these beers: Celis White, Chimay Triple White, La Trappe Witte Trappist and Watou Witbier. They are similar to Hoegaarden.
Just as a wild card to throw in there: Give Little Creatures Pale Ale, it is a good beer but is Australian.
Also give Kasteel Cru a try. Its a Champagne beer. Not too intense. Quite a subtle but pleasant drink.

who in the hell taught you how to pour a beer?
you're way too fast and that creates too much head.
however i do like the paper trick (even if it makes you spill beer.)

It was fast yeah. But I think you will find this is the correct way to pour Duvel. Having that huge head gives the beer a more complex taste.
