@Goodspittin Big difference between a 155mm HE round, which is MEANT to lob in and fall onto a target, and a .223 round, that was shot in the air, and just ends up falling because it lost all velocity from exiting the firearm. Falling from the sky, a stray bullet, may cause some harm, a scratch, headache or something. It wont kill you.

When something falls there is this force called "gravity" working on it; it is a constant acceleration. A streamline bullet like a 5.56 will have a very high terminal velocity & fall with lethal velocity... Not to mention it will retain some initial velocity in the horizontal direction. Dont belive Mythbusters ; falling bullets KILL.

You do not need 80fpe to kill someone; people get killed with .25acp and .22lr from handguns; they often times are well below the 80fpe mark. Also; people have died from being shot from .22 pellet guns (under 20fpe).
If a falling 5.56 won't kill you, it will cause a very serious injury. This is no joke; people die from falling bullets every year.

@damaster77854 Regardless of the remote location, do you know how far those rounds fire? 1800-2200 meters. If you have the right angle or being a jerkoff shooting in all directions its not safe. What if someone else is in that same remote area? You cant say there prob wasn't becuase those dude's where.. Its the fact he cant conduct himself as a professional, showing people it's ok to act like a total tool (which is why NJ banned firearms).

@1980sSportsMan I'm in the military, I went home on leave and got denied for conceal carry. They said i need physical evidence that someone is trying to cause me bodily harm. People like this, doing dumb, uncalled for, childish acts with fire arms is a big reason why I got denied. You can own these weapons, but only in your house. I dont see how that helps save my life when I'm outside (where most incidents happen) and I could use my military experience to help save myself or others. TY morons.

You either didn't apply; didn't qualify mentally or applied for a weapon that isn't approved for concealed carry. You're on leave. Permits can take time.
