  • i was born in 72, thats gotta be just about perfect !!!

  • i remember dancing that song ! :P

  • 335 people need to get their ears checked.

  • Was this directed by the same french that directed "She drives me crazy"?

  • 335 people were looking for looking for a cure for Bieber fever.

  • THIS IS ONE FOR THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY LIFE....

  • You guys are hillarious!

A méditer!!!!

  • man I miss this music so much. It was just fun, and excellent to dance to...Forever a Club Kid.

  • Best song out of the 80's ever....... i was lucky to be born in 1970 so i could grow up in the 80's....

  • You don't need CGI and autotune to make a weird video.

  • I would give a lot to see this masterpiece shot again in HD video and remastered audio...

  • 0:05-0:15 LOL

  • this was called "new wave" in the 80s

  • @burningburney99 Being "new wave" back in the day the clothes the music everything was fun about it.

  • Okay ... George Michael's version of the song kick's this version's ass!! No offence, New Order fans :-)

  • @xInlovewithTH get that fucking George Michael auto tuned shit out of here... No offense...

  • @AedanBlackheart

.... How sad is your way of expressing yourself? : very sad. and by the way - it doesn't matter if the Gm version is autotuned, because every person who is just a tiny bit interested in music, can tell what an amazing singer he is. it doesn't hurt to renew urself as an artist, which he did, so get over yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @xInlovewithTH Just by saying this it tells me what kind of person you are, maybe he's an amazing singer to you, but AT LEAST I'M NOT THE ONE coming over to another artists video and saying, oh George's version is better, that doesn't make much sense now does it. and by the way, just compare the views and the likes and you can tell who's the better musician, and I'm pretty sure many people watching this video would agree with me that this version is better, good day sir; peace be with you.

  • @xInlovewithTH George Michael's cover is an auto-tune monstrosity.

  • @Tanas666

... He uses auto-tune, we get it. Why is it all you people have to say about the cover? You can still tell that he puts alot of emotions in it, and has an amazing voice. - way better than the singer of New Order, from who we've never heard anything since this one song -.-

  • @xInlovewithTH well I can't tell what voice George has because he sounds like a robot, so yeah I can't really call that emotion when you can't hear the tone of his voice' but just by looking at your page on youtube... someone has a little bit of a crush on that man, whatever like what you like but don't just come to youtube looking for a fight and going on others pages and criticizing the other musician with your blasphemy, so stop with the comments because you just sound like an ignorant child.

  • @xInlovewithTH You'll get no argument from me about his amazing voice, but I don't see why that he felt the need to use auto-tune, it makes no sense.

  • @Tanas666

I agree with you, that he didn't NEED to use auto-tune. I was actually surprised about it too, but because of the fact, that you can still hear the emotion through the auto-tune, it doesn't really matter to me.

  • I wonder why they killed the Regret video, but haven't killed this one yet...

  • This is a superb song. It reminds me of my childhood.

  • Classic. Magic!

  • @burningburney99 Yes you were.

  • @burningburney99 don't say it, you -ok

  • I have to admit having fallen asleep musically during the 1980s and so I really only knew New Order by their unfortunate origins, and generally discounted them as just another synth-pop band. However lately I've heard more of their music and realize the superb songwriting and musicianship they possessed. In all the best senses of the term, they were a rock band, and a very good one.

  • Das beste Musikjahrzehnt aller Zeiten: Die 80er Jahre !!!

  • I wish I could erase all who dislike from existance good thing I don't have those powers huh?

  • So, 333 losers missed the like button..

  • @haleybrookelovee or maybe the brain too!

  • i have had this video bouncing around in my head for ages and finally i know what it is! and yes its fantastic

  • after this, listen to "the bravery-honest mistake" i think new order may be an influence to them.....

  • I wish this music was passed in the clubs.

  • why cant music sound like this nowaday???

  • I say New Order is my favorite of all music ever in the known universe! Can they come to the U.S. this Sat. 07.30.11 in Franklin, WI for a awesome concert for my wife for her birthday??? I think they would not walk away disappointed! Please email me maximus0271@aol.com! I remember you from the Substance 1987 album, I was in 9th grade in NY. Listening to my Sony Walkman and pushing carts for the local grocery store.

  • @burningburney99 I was born in the right decade. Just living in the wrong one.

  • @burningburney99 i wasnt and i feel privelidge to have lived through tunes like this

  • 2:10 the clowns smacking each other never cease to crack me up

  • Yeah !! Indeed. Those were a good times.

  • @burningburney99 thank god i was born in the right decade LOL. I grew up on the wonderful music.

  • @adonian i was born in the 90's yet i grew up with 70's 80's and ofc 90's music :p

  • IT S one of the Best songs EVER

  • @20tiger a would to agree with you there friend!!

  • @ja5peruk thx a lot

  • This song is about lost childhood, probably as a result of interpersonal trauma (hence the 'fear'). Hence, it is also likely to be about heroine addiction or whatever alternative 'coping mechanism' any such individual might seek refuge from the daily hell that has been imposed upon them. However, it also appears from the opening lines that recovery is imminent - unless, of course, this is a reference to intended escapism via self-administered means.

In any event, it is a very powerful song.

  • 331 people have no faith.....

  • (New Order) They arent the best band in the world, but have been part of it.(joy division)

  • looks like the Power Rangers let themselves go....

  • Hahah! I was a tween when this came out. I always thought the vid was disturbing though but it's an awesome tune. >.>

  • @asianmusicfan001 i agree....awesome song! the video....isn't very good and im being polite

  • bin

  • Fantastic!!!

  • American Psycho was the only reason I like this song and I am only 19 years old lol

  • 331 pathetic Justin Bieber fans.

  • WOW I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS SONG FOR ALMOST 12 YEARS NOWWWWW NICE!

  • @lanoche I know how it feels! I was searching endlessly for this song. I couldn't remember the song title and the correct lyric. But then somehow, I don't know how I did it, I stumbled across it on youtube. Joy for me! Gosh 80s music are the golden era of REAL music.

  • All time great!!!!!

  • Saatanan hyvä, tulee nippu jotain flashbackejä.

  • My favorite New Order song!

  • For 331 people the day will never come.

  • @KillerDreck89 i totally agree with you :))

    His reply:

"The only thing I cared about in the last 2 years has been my dick"

  • american psycho revived this classic

  • @34Abeezy It was an awesome scene eh.

  • @34Abeezy Are you on crack? nearly seven million hits is not a result of American Psycho.

  • New Order - Brilliant, but with one key missing ingredient

  • If the visual of this video makes sense, you're either off your tits on drugs or batshit mental.

  • 328 ^^

  • THANKS so much for uploading this legendary clip to a classic hit! I had to watch it to recover from George Michæl's blasphemous interpretation. He should have stuck with 'Faith'.

  • 328 people are jelly', because they cant dance like that.

  • Memories.....I was 2years old and I still remember this clip

  • hiiii, der woansinn!

Ne, ohne sch..., da kommen die 80er zurück!

  • george michael has written 12 great songs for sure, but none better than this.

  • @bowlbrawl ??

  • Does anybody have the lyrics to this song?

  • @molonlave2010 funny story, in 1992 or so i made a tshirt for this pre-internet with the wrong lyrics on it, like 'truck' for 'drug'

u should google the lyrics molonlavachild and listen to the bside 1963

  • @bowlbrawl that IS a funny story!

  • By far the best song ever from New Order :)

  • george michael true faith

  • O___o

  • Wow back when I though England was "Cool". All Creativity has disappeared now

  • this song is about drugs right

  • @gkellers yes, it is about drugs.

  • Does anyone have any idea what that wobbling woman is signing in sign language?

  • @DEATHBYFLYINGCDS

she is signing the lyrics of the song

  • This song makes me want to murder you. Patrick Bateman style.

  • Un Clasico de Aquellos...

  • Video sucks but the lyrics and music are straight from God. You can always take a look at the live performenco of this song. New Order does that quite well. Let's say excellent.

  • I'm come back over 20year... nice song and very cool video!

  • Long Life to 80's!

  • @Gadapaj The 70's were better. But the 80's do kicks todays ass when it comes to music and good free times.

  • @Gadapaj 80's? This was 1994

  • @dwhispful nope, 1986.

  • @dwhispful 1986

  • @Gadapaj Those were indeed great days, but those days are over. Now, there are just days...

  • you should check out the new Mirrors video for Look At Me! It's on the Mirrors channel M1rrors

  • New Order BLOWS compared to Joy Division, this is some sort of bubblegum New Wave shite.

  • @Johnnywhamo Maybe they got tired of being depressed after their lead singer killed himself.

  • @Sue71 He wasn't exactly sunshine and lollipops was he. LOL, Peace!

  • @Johnnywhamo <3 ! :)

  • One of the songs ever written. The lyrics give me goosebumps.

  • brill even better now than when i heard it first

  • superbe musique.

    superbe clip...

  • queer as folk brought me here. this is epic :D

  • probably one of the best vids ever

  • This is the most retarded embarrassing piece of shite music video I've ever seen, and I seen a lot of music videos. But still, the song is great.

  • @Pepper6464 , yep, a senseless music video. But do you really think that it's better to show buttocks and boobs and cars and sluts in a music video?

  • @KillerDreck89 Buttocks, boobs, cars, and sluts are better than grown adults jumping around in costume and makeup like immature twats from a children television series.

  • It would surely have been a sound far too electronic for Ian's ears ! Way far too musical for Ian's ears. NO sound changed a lot comparing with JD, minimalism ceased to be the rule. At least, if you consider R&R, Bizzare Triangle Love or Perfect Kiss.

Good sound will always have guys to abide in, wherever it comes !

  • Those bubble dudes are in the Blue Man Group now.

Google Drive Like Jehu and listen to some real rock!

like ..... Bullet Train to Vegas!

  • thats so fuckin brutal!

  • @1814920251 You should seek proffessional help.

  • arguably the best song of all time

  • What would Ian Curtis have said about this?

  • @lewisner who cares

  • Wow, I remember watching this on MTV in the early 90's. I was so afraid of the blue guy.

  • American Psycho

  • @MrArpas123 yes it is, you can even wikipedia it... you idiot lol
