You'll find that not 1 American will say we are anywhere close to the rest of the world in soccer (football). At least not anyone who truly believes that. We have baseball, basketball, and american football and that is fine with us. There is not lot of room for soccer in the US.

Thats completely not true. MLS teams are getting stronger each year. There's a decent amount of American talent moving up and to Europe. In fact, if it werent for those stupid salary cap rules, the league would able to compete with many other elite leagues.
an example would be the NY Red Bulls, a struggling team in MLS, beat Chivas 1-0 or The Dynamo rippiing Atalante up 4-0.
but of course, that tells you nothing.

It was far from our best performance, but that is putting things a bit strongly, especially considering we were missing several players who would normally start. Adu wasn't great, but he also didn't get into the match early enough to make much of an impact.

I can't remember any topfootball or ChampionLeague winning player from the US. I'd like to see the best football in the Champions League and not in the USA.
