Good tyre selection, get it in the right gear, then its down to the driver to keep it moving, dont stop even if you run over your granny or you will get stuck. Landrover Defenders were first produced in 1947. 70% are still running today. I think that says it all. Thanks for your comments.
Defenders didn't come around until later. The 1947 model you speak of is the series 1, then came the series 2, the defender is pretty much a continuation of that, in a more modern form. The range rover, free lander* and disco are their children. Nice video. Defenders are incredibly tough. I know of one that has done 500,000 miles, off road every day. nearly 20 years old, nothing gone wrong with it. Indestructible things they are.
Hi guys nice 110 what year is that - do I spy a 300tdi vent? I treated myself to a 23 year old 110 last year with a tdi conversion great fun to drive and diy the underbody and interior! Enjoyed your vids like to see more offroading - I might try and do a vid on mine & get a bit of winching action on there nice one!
There are plenty of competant traders and sadly many 'wannabees'( a friend had a lot of problems with one ) best to google for your local land rover club and ask for their advice on a trusted dealer. There are few of the model shown in the US as it was only imported for a short while.
thumbs up, if you hate the gay Priest ad before this video..

stopglobalswarming, british engineering is the answer, sadly not enough good engineers left now to produce more things like the landy.

class video, would love a go but I think it would end up in a 999 special on tv. Long live the Landy!

In US most Land Rovers never see any dirt unless a pigeon craps on them. Good video. What is the secret to the Land Rover's mudding ability?

a nice snorkel on the exhaust would be good if our gonna keep going through water that deep pete.
luvu2luvme 3 years ago
As long as the water doesn't go any further over the wheel arches the standard air intake is fine
TheBushcraftBoyz 3 years ago
The snorkel takes air in for the engine to burn, its not an exhaust.
