For those who don't know, the Portable Hole is excellent for finding caves relatively close to the surface. You could even use it in caves to acess deeper caves. Also, remember how Direwolf, in his last LP, kept mining out the wall to get to his rubber trees before he added a door? Leave the Portable Hole to that.

This is a forge mod so should be compatible with all the other forge mods - ic2 bc, ee, rp, etc. ic2 was the only one not tested due to me doing this on v1.0 minecraft.

symbols work much better placed on walls as the maker disigned them to be they can get buggy then placed on the floor or or if u realy want 1 on floor place 1 block down.

This would go well with BuildCraft quarries if you don't have EE or IC2, you could have a pipe system dropping sand, cobble and dirt into that cauldron :)
