@BreakingPoint2k hey ,fuck you dumb shit! i dont know about you but there is NO road whatsoever on,over,in or under my yard. and my yard is mostly rocks and hills and when it rains all the dirt gets wet and turns into mud. another thing that is special about my yard by the way. and FYI the correct abbreviation for the word etcetera is etc. ,not ext because the word is et-cet-era not exetera. stupid ass.
SWEET! Looks like you guys had fun! I cant wait to ride in the snow! With a little work, you could make those things unstoppable! Looks like the green pipe framed one has some stuff done to it. 5*s
Look up my vids when you get a chance, we beat lawn mowers too!
Hey you guys are from Ontario canada? OMG I am from buffalo. We should all meet up sometime... Check out my new vids guys. Oh nice pics on extreme mowers
hi video is awsome my step bro has got lawnmower which is a twincut classic its made by briggs and straton and is a very good offroader lawmower but will be stickking some vids of me and step bro doing some offroading on lawmower and if you dont mind his youtube acount name is suzukisj410mad for more vids of offroading lawn mower
changing the ratio is quite easy, you simply want nearly a 1:1 ratio (smaller pully on the engine, smaller pully on the rear) you can find pullies at your local hardware store for a few dollars, so just experiment and find what works best for your tractor.
y' know: when u think about it, its really alot cheaper to lose the deck on a lawn tractor and rig the tranny to get a mean off-roading machine instead of buyin' an ATV worth
i think so to, we just bout a honda rancher. but i think a lawnmower with tranny like you talking about and a locked rear-end with a locker with some bigger tires would be bad ass. plus you could drive it down the street
well unless the transaxle pully is 1" ( I bet it not lol).... it wont work. And thats a little too much. For offroading you dont want extreme speeds (those speeds are also unsafe on a stock mower) for mudding/offroading, id suggest going 2" bigger on the engine and maybe 1 - 2 less on the transaxle ... That will be pushing the stock parts of a rider to their limits lol.
well ... we try to avoid doing this, even tho it works, b/c the gears are hardened and it a pain in the ass to get a good weld, but if you can, weld in the spaces in the 2 inner diff gears (leaving the few spots that make contact with the main axle gears alone) but be sure none of the welds can beak or chip, b/c it will jam and wreak the rest of the transaxle
there are a few ways. Most easy was is to weld the gears in the diff together .. or find a transaxle the same as the one you have, and use the gearsfrom in the diff (hoping they are the same as yours, and lock them together), or have one machined and put it.
goto heymow. com thats one of the best racemower (or anytype) for questions ... there is also a ATLM (All Terrain Lawn Mower Club) but i forget the address.
I believe it had a 8" on the tranny and a 3" on the engine .... i swiched to 5" on engine and 7" on tranny.... The bigger pullies you use the less chance of your belts slipping underwater. Other than that, ther are skid plates and bumpers ... i dident do any modfications to the engine. (Im the green Mower)
Great video, I gotta an old mower I've suped up(Gears, header etc..), it now runs about 25+ and I took it offroading, and it keeps breaking steering linkages. You have any good ideas how to fix it?
On mine, I believe its a 5:1 ratio gear box from a press, with a U-joint on one end and a flipper going to the front steering linkages. I got it that way lol.
are tthey hydrostatic

hey how do you make lawn mowers go fast like this?
mossbergman11 3 years ago
change the gear ratio with different size pullies. But rember to take safety into thought when making it anything but stock.
gigeoeo 3 years ago
what was the ratio you used?
dangdirtysmurf 3 years ago
@mossbergman11 Put a small pulley on the trany and a big one on the motor.

what is the easeist way to take off the pulleys
redmand18 4 years ago
pully puller .. or torches lol make sure you dont get it too hot and wreak the seals. Also make sure all pins, set screws, ect are out/off.
gigeoeo 4 years ago
@redmand18
weld a bigger one onto the stock one, i did that and wheelied my mower.
zeron79 1 year ago
i was thinking if the motor was a 19 horse wouldnt the gears be able to handle a little more abuse
redmand18 4 years ago
as long as you dont gear it too high. The transaxle can usually handle alot of power, what breaks them is spinning them too fast.
gigeoeo 4 years ago
what would happen if iput the pully that is on the moter on the transmision and the pulley that is on transmision on the motor
redmand18 4 years ago
well unless the transaxle pully is 1" ( I bet it not lol).... it wont work. And thats a little too much. gigeoeo 4 years ago
did you switch the pulleys
redmand18 4 years ago
yup .. but keep the biggest pullies you can .. so you havemore belt contact.
gigeoeo 4 years ago
how strong would the weld be on the differencial
redmand18 4 years ago
well ... we try to avoid doing this, even tho it works, b/c the gears are hardened and it a pain in the ass to get a good weld, but if you can, weld in the spaces in the 2 inner diff gears (leaving the few spots that make contact with the main axle gears alone) but be sure none of the welds can beak or chip, b/c it will jam and wreak the rest of the transaxle

how do you lock the rear end
redmand18 4 years ago
