GM doesn't make it, but SoCal Diesel makes a stroker kit to switch the 6.6L(402 c.u.) into a 7.2L (427 c.u.) big block. Since i seen that a few ppl wanted to name all the engines a chevy can have. I recommend not letting this one sneak up on you!

a diesel will have much higher torque numbers than a gas truck. the dmax was also lifted and in sand. on the street would be a very different story. a dmax with the right tuning can turn 12 seconds.

Titans only have one motor option, the 5.6. You probably raced on of the 07 to 09 titans, they have a new torque management system that wont let them reach full wide open throttle till 40 miles an hour....dumbest thing ive ever heard of.

How long is it going to take everyone to figure out that the Titan is a car dressed up as a truck, no working value whatsoever. The big three trucks are designed to tow and haul, not be fast (that is what the aftermarket programers are for).
I use my 06 crew for ALOT of work. 18ft Double axle trailer loaded with a built Jeep. Handles it fine and seats five VERY comfortably. Granted, it doesn't get the 15 mpg that a Cummins would, but it didn't cost 35K either Only proven weakness is the Hybrid Dana 44 rear axle and that was mostly cleared up with a 4 pinion carrier. Still hear about blown axle seals but not often.

Aside from a programmer, we can. An 8000 pound truck VS 5000 pound truck with almost the same hp and torque......Even you oil burners can figure out the math on that one.

Congrats, Im a chevy guy, but it does look like you were beating that truck in the sand. Heavy trucks do not do well in the sand, they sink. try this race on the road and see if the 305 hp titan will beat a STOCK lbz duramax, even though the duramax is heavier. And no, they are not even close STOCK to having the same hp, and especially tq.

@chadssick im a diesel guy also but the gasser has more top end then a diesel. yeah a diesel would dust a gasser off the line but the gasser will catch up and pass the diesel anyday. diesels are not built for top end but for extreme low end torque

this video proves nothing, tires spin allot in sand, Titans are not fast. My Dmax with a mild tune easily walks away from a titan. done it many times. Even with an EFI 100hp tune, which I have loaded as my daily driver now, a titan doesn't have a chance. Not even mentioning a race tune. Titan so far has the worst reputation for a pick up in the US at the moment.

I didnt plan on racing at all that day. That guy was sitting at the starting line calling out all the pickups on the side lines, poining and yelling and he beat everyone that rolled out to race him. So i rolled up just to see what that thing had. He beat a few powerstrokes and some other gas trucks, just couldnt hang with the Titan..... Guy was a real tool!

I use my 06 crew for ALOT of work. 18ft Double axle trailer loaded with a built Jeep. Handles it fine and seats five VERY comfortably. Granted, it doesn't get the 15 mpg that a Cummins would, but it didn't cost 35K either Only proven weakness is the Hybrid Dana 44 rear axle and that was mostly cleared up with a 4 pinion carrier. Still hear about blown axle seals but not often.
