Actually, the injured dog didn't make it, it was already dead when the guy from the animal rescue came and took both dogs out of the highway. The hero dog was later left on a less dangerous zone and he went back to be a stray dog. Many people wanted to adopt it, but it was never seen again.

People look at this through rose colored glasses, because the MEDIA protrayed the dog as "a hero". But...What if instead the MEDIA played some sinister music and referred to the dog as a feral stray who was problematic and starving. Then showed the clip telling the public is was about to consume the other dog. See how the MEDIA is leading most of you around by the nose like sheep? In reality the dog WAS a stray and fully intended on eating the other dog, but was disturbed from his meal.

This is so moving. Animal instinct in it's natural state. There are humans that wouldn't and haven't done this for another human being. I recall an elderly man, I believe in FL, that was hit by a car while trying to cross the road and people drove AROUND him and walked past him. Incredible that no people stopped. if you watch closely, the first footage of dog getting hit has him hit by a truck in the middle lane, then quickly in the 2nd footage it's a truck in the left lane. then later it's a white car and a white truck that hits him.

and in the 2nd and 3rd footage you can actually see the dog walk off after getting hit.
