  • wierd console for this kind of music, i miss the glamour of a nice wurlitzer, but very well played! and now some franck chorale!!! :P

  • One of the most pimping theatre organ performances I've seen

  • I prefer the Church/Cathedral organ...

  • das ist doch die Orgel, die in Wattenscheid steht,

    oder?

  • Ja, das ist richtig.

  • Absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Thanks for the Vid upload. Would love to see more of his performances :)

  • what a waste of instrument.

  • Who are you to put some down? Grow Up!

  • do you feel that the "theatre" organ is not a valid instrument? if so, why? did you know that it is the only instrument, other than the banjo, that was invented in the united states? are you familiar with any of the performance "logistics" that make the theatre organ very different from an "art music" instrument? you might find that this instrument has a lot to offer. just a thought.

  • It was acctualy invented by Robert Hope-Jones who was english and lived in chesher and he sold his patents to the Wurlitzer company thats why they were the first to make them

  • Excellent performance and organ. I am viewing in the United States, could you provide more information about this organ specifications? Thank you.

  • Thank you for this excellent theater organ video. A wonderful virtuoso performance and I hope B. Wurzenrainer does a concert tour of the Wurlitzer theater organs in the United States. Could you provide some technical information about this organ and the installation? I'm viewing your video in the United States and that is why I am interested in learning more about the Hauptwerk organ technology. Thank you.

  • sounds fantastic -

  • wow that part at 605 is amaising!

  • Where is taking place? The console is beautiful. I'm sure Daniel Roth would have a blast with this. Entertaining...even my dog perked up her ears when she heard you draw the bells. BRAVO!

  • Really impressive and an amazing implementation of Hauptwerk!

Thanks for posting this. Really entertaining manual technique from 6:00 - wow - would never have dreamt it possible! Really brilliant.

  • Hallo Prinzipal67,

  • Put more of these tunes on. Get to see and hear. Thanks

  • That is a beautiful console you have -- is it a commercial product, or did you build it yourself? I wonder if they would let you play that way at Saint-sulpice?

I enjoyed your theater organ style as well.

    Dave

  • Hello Dave,

the console was built by a pipe organ builder in Germany, the Otto Heuss GmbH.

The organist on the video is a specialist for theatre- and hammondorgan. I invitet him for a concert. He doesn't play at a church organ.

November 2007 I had the chance to play the organ of St. Sulpice.

  • Hello stefanussen

    It's the Jensen 3/11.

I can't handle more stops with my console, because it's no theatre-organ-console.

  • Nice to see this organ in action! Which TO sample set is that? Milan? Jensen?
