  • fantastic review !

  • I presently own the MO6 but after hearing the MOX6 I am defintely in the market for an upgrade. Like soon. Like next week! And looks like it's way easier to work with and program than the MO6 is.

  • Superb demo Kasunori! One of *THEE* best keyboard demos i've seen on Youtube in years. Great playing!

  • Great!!!

  • Great!!!

  • More vids please NOW!

  • This "New" keyboard is fantastic, very well designed! The piano sample is great, and I love how the transposer buttons are easy to find. The styles (Performance) are even better than any Yamaha, but I wished that this keybaord offered intros, endings and breaks. I want one of these keyboards as it is the best of Yamaha. This person is a great keyboard player!

  • This is not a bad direction, a Motif XS without the annoying color LCD

  • Great review, very much like to know ,when you added drums at the end, do they follow as you play or are you following them? Makes a big diference as if you are following them its too mechanical and I wouldnt use them. Going to get this on trial soon. Thanks

  • Sound reminds a bit of the typical Korg workstation sound I think (not a bad thing!). I own the Triton.

  • Sorry, but i played on a Motif XS6 and on a MOX6 too. The sounds are not so similar than some people says...

  • @danielhba

Hi! really!!?? I'd like to buy one so all the comms are welcome! it seems to be the same engine inside...but it may be different cause the speakers that are used and I've been told the XS was more"powerfull" than the MOX...that could explain your feelings!

best regards from France (sorry for the mistakes)

  • I love this guy...the MOX sounds fantastic too

  • Which is best mox6 or korg m50 ???

  • Don't you just love the dance at 7.44 lol anyway thanks for the demo I'm buying one this week mox6 Rawks

  • Like this mox6 spook much gonna buy three lol

  • holding the mic AND playing the chords for the vocoder @11:57. nice :)

  • yamaha m6 or mox 6?

  • At 11.30 You could hear that kalimba patch which he overdubbed clipping on its sustain/decay. As I found with my M06, with only 64 poly to play with you'll find with anything more than simple patches (and those with voices with short sustains) used in sequencer overdubs, its ability is quickly overreached.

  • hello.

I bought one today and i cant give you an exact response but i know that you can connect the MOX by USB to the computer. He brings the original cd of the cubase program to connect directly and you can record it directly to that program,

by wath i know it is simply awsome. i can give you a better feedback latter.

    Best regards

  • Can anybody on Earth tell me, does the MOX6 has a USB Audio Recorder function? I can't find this information anywhere. All search results only about USB Audio Interface. But I need possibility to record on USB Flash Drive my compositions in Audio (not MIDI) WAV file.

  • This is a really great demo. The guy does a very good job.

  • This a really good demo. Thankyou Mr. Ujiie!

  • I think my ears just had a joygasm from all the tasty jams this guy is perpetrating with this magnificent instrument...WOW!! I own a Yamaha MM6 but I think I may have to upgrade!

  • This has been the BEST review of the MOX6/MOX8 I have found thus far on youtube. Thank you so much, Mr Ujiie. I was not even aware of the microphone feature of this wonderful instrument until I saw it demonstrated by you. I am convinced after viewing this review that the MOX8 is what I am looking for. Thanks once again for your review and displaying your great talent as well.

  • i would love to see a demonstration of running a talk-box through the mox

  • I thank you! I am looking toward to get this keyboard. :)

  • Does MOX6 have IndianDrum kit?And if yes let us experince the sound. And indian Instrument sounds pre set.

Can I play MOX 6 in Pattern mode or Perform mode with different Lead Voice together with Bass,Chord, body ,guiterchord changing and rythym etc?

  • This guy is an incredible player and give a very informative demo here. I might buy one if he could give me a full tutorial in person. That's probably the only way I could learn to use this thing. The sounds are great and it has some nifty features, but for me the learning curve is too steep to really get the most out of it.

  • OMG!!! CAN YOU OR CAN'T YOU LAYER MORE THAN 2 SOUNDS?!?!

  • God damn... I wish the keys were full keys. Not thin plastic keyboard keys. Other than that this workstation looks and sounds amazing!

  • Playing wise, he does the best keyboard demos. ;D

  • can you assign and program fills with the arpeggiator?

  • great video and great player, Katsunori

  • I am greeting from Poland . You the best.

  • Very good demo!

  • wow that was so nice at 2:25

  • I love this guy!

  • Brilliant.

  • I love this machine,i think i'm getting one in the future ! Also nice presented .

  • arrpiggeetaaarr is raaaning!!! i love this guy!!! smooth fingers he has got!!

  • Another great demo from Mr. Ujie.I really like the MOx sound, there is no touchscreen etc. but it´s Yamahas philosofy, the sound comes first:)

    Looking forward to buy one:)

  • wow I'm really impressed by this guy, he heard all the people complaining about reviews being in japanese and now he's gone and made this in english! Truly an exceptional reviewer! ありがとう!

  • Is Yamaha going to come out with any voice libraries that are compatible with the MOX series or will the ones with either the MO or XS series work with it?

  • This new mox6 is very good for its price BUT I think it's about time that YAMAHA come up with a real analog synthesizer. I do miss the good old analog sounds and I hate soft synths !

  • you know, no doubt, which patches to show

    good job

  • Does anyone know if you can use software other than Cubase with this keyboard and still get full functionality?

  • @bossadude You can use what ever software you want. I'm going to use my Logic, but I will play around with Cubase for a bit to try it out.

    Peace!

  • INCREDIBLE KEYBOARD! ONLY A QUESTION........YOU CAN USE THE FC3 SUSTAIN PEDAL AND GET ALL THE EXPRESSION OF PIANO? OR THE MOX DOEST'N HAVE THIS?THANKS

  • Thank you! I'm buying this after seeing your demo.

    Sold! :)

  • Very good demonstration of what the MoX is capable of.

  • Hey i understand you for the first time. Great video...

  • this guy has got groove and soul, i love his play style,

    well done sir

  • good sound of piano,,, clear and nice,,

  • I wish Katsunori-san would do this in Japanese. He sounds much more enthusiastic that way and less nervous. ^_^

I wonder if I should trade in my Tyros 2 for this? hmmm...

  • @LogiForce86 Right on bro! I don't speak Japanese but I love watching his demo in japanese... I spent a little over 3 hours with the 88 key version in Guitar Center and WOW this thing really blew my mind. I haven't got advance to play with a tyros but from what I've heard they sound really good. I would say go for the 88 Key MOX8 and don't look back lol..but thats just me.

  • @LogiForce86 Funny thing is I can't find any good Tyros demos on You Tube. All the good demos are for the lesser keyboards like the MOX. As a result I would rather just stick with the MOX6.

  • @LogiForce86 he has a japanese only channel. its called Musictrackjp ;-) enjoy.

  • @leefuji Thank you very much, I will do so immediately. I love his enthusiasm about music. Always makes me grab an instrument again even if it's just to fool around a bit. ^_^

  • @LogiForce86 ,

Trade Tyros 2 for MOX? You bet! I wouldn't even think about it! ;)

  • Fine

  • Anyone know how much is this machine?

  • @cvl85 1178 $

  • The only thing I regret about this is the price. Just because we're getting out of the recession doesn't mean prices have to go up.

  • @cocovi How much is this?

  • @cvl85

    $1200

  • @cocovi

It seems like for what it offers it might be worth the price after all.

  • MOX-XS - sorry :)

  • this is the cheaper version of the XS. I owned MO6, which was the cheaper version of Motif ES. Very poor sounds compared to Motif, whic is just priced as 2x....

  • @maidiremirko

Poor sounds compared to the motif?! Do you have ANY idea what you're talking about? The sound engine and the sounds are IDENTICAL (MO-ES, MOX-XF). LOL. The keyboard itself is built cheaper, which is expected considering the price range. But once again - the sound quality and the sounds themselves - are identical

  • @rickashake Nope. Waveforms are identical, but all around is mostly cheaper. Check out poliphony for example...and please, play both XS6 and MOX6 on the same monitors. If you don't have any troubles with your ears, you'll notice a strong difference!

Remember that people said "MO6 was a light version of Motif ES", but a keyboard doesn't cost the half because it has a smaller lcd display on...

  • @maidiremirko

Less polyphony doesn't make the keyboard sound different :) I owned the ES, and I still have the MO - there's apsolutly no difference when it comes to sound itself. Yes - the keyboard is cheaper built, but you can't expect a keyboard half the price of the motif to be exactly the same :) Don't mix up "cheap" sound with cheap build material

  • @rickashake Less polyphony means that sound engine isn't the same! Only waveforms are similar, and build quality, but this will be a detail.

I owned both ES6 and MO6 and, believe me, on most sounds difference was HUGE! Classic guitar of After 1984 plays similar, but difference raised up with more complex sounds, like a Full Grand (maybe layered with strings or other), which is a very severe test, due to high detail/nuance of piano waveforms, and, this time, Motif makes difference... ;-)

  • Haro!

  • FOR THE FIRST TIME I CAN WATCH THIS MAN DEMO A KEYBOARD WITHOUT ASKING FOR SUBTITLES!!

  • I haven't played one yet. but I think this is the only Yamaha keyboard that surprises me.

  • Not the best review of Ujiie i've seen, but still great!

  • 相変わらずの買った気になる素敵なデモですね。今回のは価格的にもホントに良く出来てると思います。しばらくシンセサイザーから遠ざかっていた方にもちょっと気にして欲しい1台だと思います。

  • I like it a lot. Yamaha is the best.

  • Mr. Ujiie, this is a great demo. It is nice to watch someone play each patch, and not just flick through the sounds. However, I wish Yamaha would release great synths like the An1x, EX5, or the DX7 again, and not just repackage the same AWM technology year after year.

  • @DX7Alex You aint never lie. I dont know what their problem is rehashing the same product over and over again.

  • definitely the FIFTH.

  • @dopemcee WHAT I want to know now though..if all the sounds and performance comes from XS..why dont i just get XS?

  • @dopemcee

    Price of course.

  • @dopemcee Because it's less than half the price and you get an audio interface built in!! really good for budget producers and song writers, yet. you get all the MOTIF XS sound!! nice?

  • I like the mic thingy :D

  • This man is incredible!
