  • Darryl McHargue should be in horse racing hall of fame

  • It was close, Foolish Pleasure was an honest horse and John L. Greer a class owner. It's too bad that many only associate him with the ill fated match race.

  • Thank you for posting this video. This was the first time I saw the 1975 Preakness the whole way through. Do you have the Belmont too?

  • You're welcome. Wow, I thought the '75 Belmont was already on YouTube...I'll put it up now.

    Take care.

  • It might be I probably searched wrong anyway. But thank you for being generous and putting it up for all the other viewers. Were do you get all your videos at anyway? But if it's from a private source I understand. By the way, did you get my message I sent you?

    Have a great week.

  • Avatar bounced back a few weeks later!

  • thanks for sharing. great to know I can come here and re - view the race.

  • You're very welcome. Thanks for viewing.

  • Oh my gosh! I can't thank you enough for posting this! Master Derby is my all-time favorite. The last time I saw this, I was an 11-year-old dancing with joy in front of the TV as my hero held off Foolish Pleasure...(yikes!) Thank you so much!

  • Terrific memories for you! Comments such as these make this all worthwhile. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Great finish! Honest Pleasure looked like he was gonna catch him there at the end.
