  • Oh and what this video wont show is what goes on after you leave the drill pad and get into your barracks for the first time. lol

  • Fort Sill, god I dont miss that place. Graduated shortly after you guys did in this video in February. God it was cold, and the wind was unrelenting. F 1/79 FA. We were the first class to use ACUs as well

  • Thanks for uploading. I leave for Fort Sill in a couple weeks.

  • @ Jocee3, i did consider joining the army, and i did. Im an 11X waiting to ship to fort benning for 14 weeks

  • man u guys had it peachy

  • God I miss the screams

  • I'm so glad I never have to go through basic again....

  • Is Ft Dix closed.

  • @bingobongo445 no it is not, That is where I go because my Reserve Unit is from there.

  • Went through Basic and AIT at Ft, Benning, GA durint the summer of 1987. Same situation, except Infantry DIs talked more shit about what they would do to you, if you didn't square your shit away. Nice upload. Thank you! Every high schooler should really consider the Army after they graduate!!!

  • Good times. Lol I went thru in 1999. Same drill pad same place. Went the same way. Lol.

  • whats crazy is that its Bravo Battery 1-31st now 40th dont exist no more disbanded...this was my unit

  • sqad.. attennnch hut. half right face. Front leaning rest position. MOVE. Ready, exercise

  • @dogbone222.. I had my bootcamp in that very same building, just on the other side.. When they give you push-ups, its referred to as " being smoked " and they will " smoke you " every chance they get to help ensure you pass the physical fitness standards required to graduate. In estimate, during my time in boot, id say i did least 3500 push-ups

  • @martialartist34 D: i guess football was a good choice as a gateway.

  • how many pushups is during shark attack?

  • @dogbone222 you don't have time to keep count.

  • @KillFilmVol3 oh joy......

  • @dogbone222

    ALOT...

  • @swordangel01 lol i'll keep it in mind

  • @dogbone222 as many times as u, ur battle buddy, or ur squad, platoon, and sometimes even the whole company fuck up lol and the first few weeks u are never right so u always fuck up :p

  • @LilJ3090 Sounds like they bounce you around. fun :( still not deterring mah

  • @dogbone222 after a while when ur in bct u get use to it cause if u look at the first few weeks are just to get u in shape, so after those weeks go by and u get smoked its nothing to u

  • @LilJ3090 sounds a little like off season to me. but i'm guessing bct isn't 4 years long. So it's probably accelerated then?

  • @dogbone222 More than what you can do.

  • Dam u all where easy on your group compared to my shark attack lol

  • I can see why it's called 'Shark Attack' it's cause the drill sergeants float around like sharks waiting for someone to mess up, then they go in for the attack.

  • aaahhh good old fort sill

  • @leezyc3 its because the drill sargents are tought on you

  • watchin these vids get me all jacked up july 2012 bct benning

  • whyd they get rid of the bdu's?? they were the most kick ass combat uniform ever

  • Why is it called shark attack?

  • Is this The USAF ?

  • @TheYayi123 US Army

  • @KillFilmVol3 Ah ok

  • I agree, newbees have it easy compared to my 3 drills.

  • if i was them i would turn me around and then i'll say to them that they should shutup !!!!and say ahhhh my ears !!!!!

  • How old is this video? It's obviously old because they don't use BDU's anymore.

  • enlisting in the army is pure courage

  • weren't they using ACUs since 2006?

  • @TheMentalpenguin a little before '06 actually, my unit was literally the LAST ones to be issued BDUs. I was pissed when i saw the newcomers across the way not having to shine their boots every night haha

  • @KillFilmVol3 The last year for the tree suits.

  • BCT E1/19 Right next to Treadwell Tower. Watched a "shark attack" from our barracks windows during "blue" phase. Hard to imagine we were ever that 8-up. Deployed 7 months later to Iraq. Thanks for the prep Drill SGT.

  • wow those instructors are mean

  • @c0fglass not as mean as the marines

  • @c0fglass not mean, motivating

  • Comment removed

  • ahhh Fort Sill my drill pad was the one right next to that one. From what the new boots say these days Sill is a male and female basic, you can have phones, smoke, basically do whatever the fuck you want.

  • @MrGSpotHitman thats a goddamn shame....i went through hell there in osut training back in 06........didn't they phase out osut training?.....hell,i heard they don't even throw live grenades in training anymore...

  • @smartacus88

no they haven't phased out osut. And yes, live frags are still thrown in bct.

  • @mickeyshasher.. what year were you there?

  • I was in C 1/40th back in 96'

  • Didn't a private get hit with .50 round that static fired back in 2008?

  • hehehe see I can laugh about this. I know their pain :D Gotta say it was crazy, stressful, insanely challenging, but completely worth it! Hooah!

  • Those Drill Sergeants are so sweet! RAH???!!!

  • Does every Army Basic happen at the same base every time?

  • B 1/19 FA, 1991 HOOOAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!! This video brings back memories, most unpleasant LOL!

  • OMFG does this bring back memories!! I was right on the other side of that building.. Charlie 1st/40th FA 1st platoon Warlords back in 1998.. back when 1997 drill seargent of the year drill seargent Green was there with drill seargent Span.

  • @martialartist34 I was also a warlord

  • i wish i could have went active to start my military career.. but active army closed down the GED plus.. only NG has it so i went NG... n not too much on NG because we get deployed just as much as active not to mention working a civilian job

  • i was in Delta 1-40th ft sill sucks ><

  • only stupid people go to the Armed Forces.

  • @romi1099123 Stupid people also fail to capitalize the first word in a sentence.

  • @romi1099123 someone died so you write that

  • Here is a little question for all of you out there. Compared to the new soldiers going through BCT how has basic training changed from lets say 10 years ago until today? Is it better or is it worse and explain why....this goes for all branches not just the ARMY. And if answering please no bashing of each others branches. We all play in the same sand box together.

    811 HL CO

    Platoon Leader

And for the future recruits watching this video, follow what your NCO's tell you and you'll be fine.

  • @silentfactor Worse. Pussified.

Warriors were made 10 years ago - pogues are made today.

The only branch that seems to have stayed consistent in their basic is the Marine Corps.

  • @EuroS50 Lmao, and are you in the military good sir? Or are you watching nothing but youtube videos about basic? what you will see on youtube is much different than what you see with your own eyes. You have no idea what any of the basics are like for obvious reasons, you aren't in every fucking branch are you, therefore you haven't seen shit in any of the other branches. The reason why you get screamed at more in the marines? Is because more of them get deployed.

  • @XxSeVzxX You're obviously a 16 year old judging by your response. I've been there, done that, and with two different branches (prior active, now guard). I'm pretty familiar with how basic works and what has been done in terms of "changes" over the past ten years. I'm also pretty sure many active duty or other veterans would chime in with the same responses.

So next time before you think of running your mouth you might want to think who you're running it off to.

  • @EuroS50 Wait, you didn't even tell me what branches you served in. None right? And if you are talking about the National Guard, there is like no screaming whatsoever. The guard is seriously weekend warriors. Are you sure you aren't talking about inactive duty? If so, that's the same branch then buddy, same contract! And basic training is almost nothing compared to what really matters, and you should know this. It's called job training.

  • @XxSeVzxX Again, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. RIF - I said I was active and now I'm guard. As in I did my time active and then when I got off active duty went into the national guard. Many of us have done this.

And you're right MOS training is the most important, however the discussion did not start about that - it was about Basic.

  • went to 1-50 charlie company at Ft. Benning

  • yea, infantry school: just a little worse.....

  • This is awesome. I just graduated from B 1-40th FA BN over the summer. Nice to see that really, not much has changed for day 1 a Bravo Battery

  • basic training in ft benning GA wasn't that hard enough. just graduated a wk ago. echo 2-19 "rock force" battalion.

  • Those BCT barracks look almost exactly like the ones at Fort Jackson, SC.

This video brings back a lot of uncomfortable memories of my first day at BCT in April 2004.

  • Ahh cattle cars...those were the days :)

  • @fragdaddy247

that was the nice 1. Remember the stand up one with the tall area and short area. we packed half a platoon in that thing lol.

  • @Ribeyeangus Haha yeah I remember those! Look at these cattle cars, they look air conditioned! Lucky bastards!

  • @fragdaddy247

I didn't even ride to graduation on a truck that nice. Look its got seats! and doors!

  • @fragdaddy247 LMAO I know right! This video was from '98 also, they prolly get trucked to events in a limo nowadays!

  • I hate when people are like, army are pussies, and navy guys are gay. without our military we wouldnt be free so respect other peoples choices and BTC is brutal for any recruit. Thanks to all who repect the Military for their job !

  • @theblueguy5000 lol try to understand the branches ALL the branches do as well as they do because of low level competition. My marine nuts are bigger then your army nuts, my army nuts are bigger than your navy nuts, I have navy nuts and you have an airfare vagina. It's all just a way to make us compete and work harder to be pitbulls on the battlefield. oohrah.

  • yep Pussies

  • man i miss those BDU's . This whole ACU era of soldiers are a bunch of pussies.

  • @KillFilmVol3. hey man i was there April 05. 13B. D 1-22.

  • That was refreshing. If only I didn't have to leave my room and look at all the fat, incompetent soldiers on the fob this dream might last...

  • BCT sucked!! I hate drill SGT's lol.

  • @TheTrueGamble I loved it, shit was fun. It's what separates the men from the boys. HOOAH!

  • @Bllackguard666 Hooah, I passed needless to say and there were 2-3 others that did not in my platoon. The military is not really for me so to speak, so I'm thinking I will be a short timer. However, a year is a long time out, and we will see if I shall re-enlist, I'm liking it more and more.

  • @TheTrueGamble Good thing, man. It's not for everyone, I was just pulling your chain :P Some folks it is tough, some, not. Glad you're serving, and giving it a shot. That's what life is all about, being adventurous and seeing what you like and don't like. Props to you, bro. GL and God be with you.

  • @Bllackguard666 Thanks I appreciate your answer, and I thank you for your service as well! God bless you as well.. best wishes to you personally!

  • i was told " you shut your mouth when you're talking to me."

  • ahhh...sweet memories...LOL!

  • ahh gd ol fort sill, and my old barracks too, bringin back memories

  • @MattewESims.. its all the gear that they give you plus anything that you were wearing when you went there..

  • Whats in the bags? Just clothes?

  • as far as 9/11 osama bin laden was not responsible for it and has said so many times. you may say " of course he is going to deny it" but you have to ask yourself why would he? what would he have to gain? if anything he would have claimed credit for it.

  • Looks just like Ft. Benning when I went in! Ahh the memories

  • so ur saying pple who join the Army are dumbasses?..(read discription)..these guys are fighting for a our country jack ass

  • @yytfreestyler10 the last time i checked Iraq and Afghanistan didn't declare war against you guys and was not a threat. Ever find those pesky WMD's that were the whole reason for going over there in the first place? I didn't think so. The US hasn't been in a war to defend the country since WW2. More than that the US hasn't even been in a war since WW2 because your congress are the only ones who can declare war. The Tulkin resolution and the one in 2001 don't count as declarations of war.

  • @henryhorn1997 if it aint war, then wat is its..why are men and women dying?...

  • @yytfreestyler10 bro just men... woman can't fight, they can if they are Sappers, but they don't really send them out to fight

women can join teh army, but different MoS

  • lmao 13D... Also know as Five Dudes Chillin haha

  • that's not a shark attack... more like gold fish attack

  • hahahaha 88M Hoooaahhhh 50cal Gunner all day OEF and OIF i miss the sand box hooaahh

  • @felontwacked619 My son is 88M and his 50 is called 'Big Momma".......he has not been to the sand box, yet and as my only child I am glad he has only done flood duty.

  • @Brian88Jay fuck you let me guess you are some little kid and btw my mom died of cancer when i was2

  • i went to fort sill last august. i wasnt able to make it through training bc i got hurt at treadwell tower. so when i saw this it brought back good and bad memories. i was Delta 1-19 1st platoon. MAD DOG!

  • what is the meaning of bravo charlie and i dont know the last one??

  • guess what the army is for queers semper fi do or die ill shoot you i dont care if you cry beg for your life it will only make me want to kill you with my knife

  • @patrick8098 Spoken like a true Morone, and no I didn't misspell that.

  • @josh10177 i guess ur an army pussy to

  • @patrick8098 somebody who actually served, not a Fucking nobody little fucking troll like you. your mommys calling you little girl.

  • @josh10177 i have been a marine since i was twenty i am 32 so fuck you you little hoaahh pussy

  • @patrick8098 You're the biggest disgrace to the corp. This is why Marines are hated. You arrogant bastard. Trash like you belongs in the National Guard, not the corp. You on hard headed weak minded individual and I'm sorry the corp ever accepted your ass.

  • @ArmyRecruit260 what do you know about the corp your not in it and no im not a disgrace i am enteing my drill instructor training the corp isnt hated there the most respected no one likes the army because there pussies with lack of training you guys are just a clean up crew

  • @patrick8098 Lol why do you even speak? Marines are over rated fag.

  • @ArmyRecruit260 LMAO agreed.

  • @ArmyRecruit260 yeah so tell me cocsucker how many times have you been to the marines nope so shut the fuck up i didnt hear about the army being in on the osama kill did you

  • @patrick8098 0311 rifleman, served three tours. tell me I didn't serve.

  • @ArmyRecruit260 US army doesnt have an MOS designated '0311' the army has a letter then a number.

  • @TJkiwiOWEG i know the patrick jack ass is tellin me i wasnt in the marine corp for four years

  • @TJkiwiOWEG a number then a letter **

  • @TheTrueGamble as I was

  • Is the ARMY really THAT bad? I always hear that it is shitty and they want to leave and always advising ppl not to join..

  • Ah i remember that day...now im the one thinking about being a DS

  • Some of us call this fun. lol

  • Happy to see the DSs are still as charming as ever. BCT Fort Gordon Gorgia ( 1966) it was almost hell in that red clay.....HELL would follow later in the Nam Huey Phu Bia

    69-70

  • @splinterman9 thank you for your service sir.

  • Anyone have DS Grey or Todd at Benning? It's been over 10 years now though :\

  • Comment removed

  • is that drill sgt RICE ??

  • Old uniforms?

  • Reminds me of my basic training.....it was a blast

  • @armyspec07 u must not of gone in the dead of winter :) seriously though, I thought that I hated BCT until I started 52 weeks of AIT. man... I would have done BCT 3 times back to back than of gone through that shit

  • @lmos26 well....fort jackson in the dead of summer and then off to Leonardwood in the winter. lol

  • Why are all the Drill Sergeants fat? And why do they casually walk everywhere? My DIs sprinted fucking everywhere and were lean ass mofos. Fat Army hoo-ah.

  • @TreeHuggerLtd Listen cherry boy! I am not sure where you see fat pogs n here but if you go were I took Basic Training many years ago it was at Ft. Benning! No DI and I mean NONE were FAT! Infantry Basic Training is way different then this! I was a fat boy of 190 lbs in the first week! By my 16th week of OSUT (One Station Unit Training) I weigh in at 163 lbs!! No fat Army where I was bub...... Not in Infantry!

  • damn those cattle cars.....

  • I'm a 135lb. guy. do u'all think i can handle BCT at benning? because that looks like a lot of stuff to carry.

  • @guitarhamster102 IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY DOUBTING YOURSELF ON THIS YOU MUST NOT BE A MAN!!! THIS SHIT IS REDICULOUS AND GAY. NO STRESS AT ALLL.

  • @guitarhamster102 just go to the gym and run and bulk up, depending on how tall i say get to 150-175 but don't stress it at all, it's just like a 50-60 pound ruk me and me my fatass can carry that for cadet marches.

  • hmm the barracs at ft still remind me of bening. if i spelt it wrong oh fn well get over it. in fact, there almost identical. just putting that out there. bening 3-30

  • I went to basic back in 82 and yeah, the Drills were very physical. The DS would put you in the leaning rest and if you sucked at it he picked you up by your belt and threw you a few feet and you started over again. Yehaww, what fun. I served 27 years and retired a Sergeant Major I LOVE THE ARMY, hate the fucking politics! Don't worry about the politics until you hit E-6 or 7 though. MILITARY POLICE ROCK! "Of the Troops, for the Troops!"

  • I always like how jarheads chime in and end up saying the Marines are best. Everyone knows it's not true. They almost got dissolved in 1955 by congress, but the MC went on a media blitz and have been on one every since. The question was posed "Why do we need both?" That question is still valid, the Army needs nothing from the MC, but they need the Army. marine Force Recon can't be one unless they complete Army Rangers School Army Airborne School and such. So get of the Marine is the best crap!

  • I cant believe they got to walk from the bus to the barracks....

  • haha F*ck yeah I was 1 of the 40th FA during BCT!! this made my day!

  • wtf happened to my crest painted on the drill pad

  • @0321usmc1775 They call us Private because we have already signed and sworn in. You are considered as Recruit before you go to MEPS for all your MedReads and ASVAB as well as Job counseling. After you get back from MEPS, you are a Private. I've been sworn in and am bound to leave for Ft Leonard Wood, MO in Novemvber and all of the recruits, including the Station Commander call me Private. I guess it's just different in the Marines.

  • dude, have you ever gone light never pack more then needed

  • Looks to relaxed for me I thought boot camp was suppose to prepare for combat and the stress that comes with it i.e the yelling and screaming in your face....... I but i guess the marines are the only ones that still get in your face no disrespect to the army at all but this looks to easy

  • Ha no disrespect but That is not a Shark Attack first of all more like a simple talking to. And one thing that bugs me to death personally is how The Army calls new Recruits Pvts because I do not understand how someone that hasnt even grad boot yet is referred to as an actual Soldier in the army when they really dont rate to be called anything but magot & P.O.S

  • Okay... so now each MOS in the Army gets one long training session? so if I went in, I'd do boot, ait and say, medic school, all before graduating? just trying to clear

  • @SuperMike82 you will go in and do Basic Combat Infantry Training, Everyone in the Army is and Infantryman first and foremost. Once completed Basic then you move to AIT phase (Advanced Individual Training) That is your job you will do in the Army whether it is Infantry, Military Police, or Medic or whatever after that you typically get sent to your permanent party somewhere in the world.

  • shit i miss basic training. id like to be a drill sgt.

  • Great vid! MAAAAN that brought back memories! It looks just like the 120 AG at Fort Jacson!

  • just graduated Ft Leonard wood august 4th. not as bad as you think it is. but it is still tough

  • I went to basic training in ft sille ok. We called those barracks start ships. 3 floors of bunks raised up on the "stilts". Gives shade underneath from the sun. Great for when di wanted to smoke us. we also used that area to clean our rifles, etc.

  • You wanna know what is funny I was stationed at my first duty station with my AIT Drill Sgt. and during an NBC attack he put his suit over all his gear, yep real squared away...

  • Oh Yes!!! Next week will be fun...

  • I joined the Army Back in August 1st, 1977, and basic is the same now as it was then, Except I was in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, " Fort lost in the woods " Misery. lol

  • Oh lord... Fort Sill... Very little has changed from then to now, haha.

  • so lets see, i got 17 weeks of Ait and OSUT infantry training, then 3 weeks of airborne school, then 8 weeks of hell with RASP, then 61 days of ranger school... fuck my life

  • I was in B 1/40 for Basic in 96' w00t

  • Sweet Memories. but that was the easy stuff. I grad'd 1994. Things were a bit different. DS just spit on you.

I would like to buy a beer for those of you in combat right now.

  • bunch of FAGS.....pussy ass stress free boot camp.....yeah...you all were GOING to be Marines but the Marine Corps doesn't want you lazy ignorant fucks...say something

  • @chanman2087 ABOUT THE STRESS FREE BOOT CAMPS THAT WAS A TEST THE ARMY DID IN ABOUT 4 TRAINING CLASSES TO SEE HOW IT WOULD WORK. LAST NO THANK ON THE ME BEING A MARINE JOINED THE ARMY AND IM JUST FINE THERE. AND I KNOW A COUPLE OF MARINES THAT ARE ARMY NOW WOUNDER WHY THAT IS.

  • @2003tintin because they couldn't make the grade as a Marine?

  • willing to bet you arent even a marine

  • @chanman2087 I was in the Army beginning in 87' and our boot camp was NOT stress free.....Just like Combat is NOT stress free. Oh, by the way I am Gay and object to the word fag......come say that word to my face, ignorant fuck.....Say something.

  • @menashadude Thank you for your service, I am truly grateful. Don't listen to ignorant fucks like chanman, a man with any integrity and honor would never form such a snobbish opinion.

  • @menashadude You're gay? Omg.

  • @chanman2087 Lol, fucking pussy.

  • @chanman2087 This is why i never joined Marines because they like to talk smack more than anybody i ever known. Not my kind of character. See you at our Army base Chanman where you'll be borrowing our Army gear. Hoorah lol
