Yes, Blizzard has improved WoW but.. It's not good enough to compare with our very first end-game experiences. I will never fogot those raids, old guilds and all the friends I made through the old Azeroth. That's my opinion though..

Back in these days you actually had to put some effort in as a tank to get threat, ESPECIALLY on multiple mobs, warriors didn't have much for AoE threat except tabbing through their targets and putting a few Sunder Armors on them and a Cleave here and there... Oh, you definitely had to watch your damn threat as a DPS back then...

These kids backpeddle, turn with A and D, CLICK all of their spells, and STAND STILL for a majority of the fight, watching. This is your idea of skill? A normal mode 5-man Cataclysm dungeon takes more skill than this garbage.

Blackwing lair - No skill is needed, just awareness.

AQ - Bugs, 'nuff said.

Naxx 40 - Bugs, 4 horsemen, Gothik, Loatheb and KT were hard.

This boss used to be the biggest fucking pain in the ass... even to this day he can wipe a full raid of level 80's if they don't know what they're doing. Thats whats great about Classic WoW, everything was challenging, even leveling! The PvP was a load better too, but thats for another comment :).

Sense of accomplishment and pride coming from the knowledge that you and the other 39 (+ guild full of support characters, etc.) had the determination, know-how, and prowess to make it to this boss, let alone down him.

The Old World was full of exciting and ingenious content that gave you feelings of triumph when you finally overcame them. I doubt that will ever be emulated again in this game with the direction Blizzard is taking it.

Well, It depends very much on classes. First + 2nd boss is quite un2manable however from there it evens out. The only issue you'll have MAY be chromagnus due to the length

So why the old 40-man lvl 60 content?

The most memorable raid for me is Blackwing Lair. Spending months trying to kill Razorgore, and the first Nefarian kill were both amazing. Full clear of BWL is the most satisfying thing you could do in WoW, and there hasnt been anything in Burning Crusade that compares. Its good old school. As Wrath comes out here in a month take 5-10 of your friends and try to clear some of the old content (See my 3-man Onyxia video). Anyway hope you enjoy the nostalgia.

@Couger777 Yeah,couldn't agree with you more no raid since has felt so epic,BWL is still without doubt one of my all time favorite raids,I was with my guild when we made our first attempts in BWL until the night we finally downed Nefarian and nothing has come close since to the level of excitement I think we all felt when we accomplished that.
