But you're right, by comparison to the military budget, $2 billion is not a lot. The US spends 5 times more than the next biggest military spender, China, accounting for 43% of the worlds military expenditure. What he didnt mention is that this military buildup has been a way of filtering public money into private hands.

I would have joined the chorus in being negative about the USA, but I think USA is only the most visible part of the problem. But you're right, by comparison to the military budget, $2 billion is not a lot. The US spends 5 times more than the next biggest military spender, China, accounting for 43% of the worlds military expenditure. What he didnt mention is that this military buildup has been a way of filtering public money into private hands.

If I want a road through my community, I will get together with the townspeople, and we will build a damn road. Great rant!!!! One minor nitpick, the US is not giving Isreal or Egypt any money, it's giving them cheap loans on the condition they spend the loan on US weapons. It's called the "military-industrial complex" and Eisenhower warned you guys about it in his farewell speech 50yrs ago.
Your own military budget is what is bleeding the US taxpayer dry and it's going to the same corporations that profit from US military "aid" (loans) to the likes of Israel, Egypt, Burma (90's), and Saddam (80's)
