@leegeorgeson what?? Youve got to be kiding... Martial arts weren´t for everybody, and generals are not remebered for how many troops you bring to the field. The Romans were the first professional army, they would destroy the Qin´s army. Steel... Its the warrior behind the "costume" that counts... The romans conquered the entire Mediterranean sea, They destroyed, the Greeks, Macedon, Carthage, Gaulic Tribes, Spanish tribes, Armenia, Pontus, Dacia, British Tribes, Some German Tribes, Egypt...

the music was too loud. I saw a documentary thing that said music was meant to break silence in shows/movies to get away from monotony but drowning out a person's voice in the show/movie was not the original purpose.

My friend, with respect to 420 and mikey, both of their replies are wrong. From all accounts, Legionaries WERE allowed to marry, however Centurions were NOT unless given special permission. One of the reasons for this is that the Centurion, as leader of a Centuriae (which consisted of between 80-100 legionaries) was expected to stand his ground no matter what, as encouragement for them.

As you can see, if they had had wives and children back home there's greater chance they would have fled if the situation became too dire, and if he hadn't then his main priority wouldn't be his family back home, but rather, it would have been to keep his military honour intact even if facing certain death.
