@leegeorgeson what?? Youve got to be kiding... Martial arts weren´t for everybody, and generals are not remebered for how many troops you bring to the field. The Romans were the first professional army, they would destroy the Qin´s army. Steel... Its the warrior behind the "costume" that counts... The romans conquered the entire Mediterranean sea, They destroyed, the Greeks, Macedon, Carthage, Gaulic Tribes, Spanish tribes, Armenia, Pontus, Dacia, British Tribes, Some German Tribes, Egypt...
@RomanLegioXx Yeah over centuries, the Qin conquered China in one King's lifetime. Granted the Roman system of government was less oppressive and thus lasted longer but your kidding yourself if you think that the Romans could beat the Qin
@leegeorgeson let me guess, you are saying that the Qin army would beet the roman army because thwy were larger? because they had superior numbers in both missile and cavalry? Whats your explanation?
@leegeorgeson its a fact that the romans would win the training each legion got was the best in the WORLD at the time the qin woulda been behind in tactics and weaponry the evidence of this is how long each empire lasted which is more effected the army that kept a empire together for 15 years (qin) of the one that did it for nearly 2000 years?
@leegeorgeson jews, many rebbelions, and they brought not only slaughter but also the civilization from wich our is based on. The Qin Army couldn't defeat such an affective war machine.
I like the loud music; it distracts one from the script written by a high school student plagiarizing the same info that has been regurgitated for years.
the music was too loud. I saw a documentary thing that said music was meant to break silence in shows/movies to get away from monotony but drowning out a person's voice in the show/movie was not the original purpose.
My friend, with respect to 420 and mikey, both of their replies are wrong. From all accounts, Legionaries WERE allowed to marry, however Centurions were NOT unless given special permission. One of the reasons for this is that the Centurion, as leader of a Centuriae (which consisted of between 80-100 legionaries) was expected to stand his ground no matter what, as encouragement for them.
As you can see, if they had had wives and children back home there's greater chance they would have fled if the situation became too dire, and if he hadn't then his main priority wouldn't be his family back home, but rather, it would have been to keep his military honour intact even if facing certain death.
sometimes, the sounds ruins everything. the guy could've forgotten his hearing aid home!

HA! The Romans were Awesome. But the Qin were by FAR superior.
80,000 vs. 200,000 elite plus 800,000 reserves?
Also the Qin had steel weapons that is STILL intact.
Also the Romans were lousy fighters in individual combat. As opposed to Oriental Martial Arts...

@leegeorgeson
Sun Tzu said never use overwhelming force. Use professional soldiers. and EVERY roman was professional. EVERY Qin was not.
Besides, if Qin left, then Mongols would invade.

Legionaries were not allowed to marry?
crawhip2 3 years ago 3
No they weren't allowed to marry..even tho it was quite acceptable later on since most had there wives and children staying with them in the forts.
420alldayy 3 years ago
