Great. You don't see too many covers of Passion Play out there. That was also one of my favorite Tull albums because it was so unique. Nobody really "gets it" except for the most die hard Tull fans. The lyrics are describing as series of possible after-death experiences, with reincarnation at the end. Hardly anyone knows that.
When Anderson was asked in 1979 what A Passion Play was all about, he explained: "It's about . . the notion of what might happen to you when you die, and the idea that rather than just sort of be allotted a place in a notional heaven or hell one still had to make a choice, still had to work on towards other levels of post- death options, you know -- you were still able to make choices and do one thing or the other in a post-death experience -- a bit sort of Buddhist in philosophy, I suppose."
Anderson goes on: "Anyway, that's what it was about, but deliberately couched in fairly abstract terms and a lot of verbal imagery that I wanted there because I didn't . . . I wanted people to listen to it and form their own conclusions about what I was saying . . . or what I might be saying . . . ."

Brilliant! Absolutely great! When I typed "Passion play" I didn't expect any results but this one suprised me very positive and persuaded that there are true JT fans of, in my opinion, their best album! Cheers!
Thank you so much. A Passion Play is my favorite album of all time. Your playing and singing is incredible especially since it is so damn hard to play guitar and sing at the same time.
Thank you so much for your words. It's very nice to hear these kind of things. I'm Brazilian, but living in London for a while. I'm about to tape new things so stay tuned by subscribing my channel.
I've had a guitar for about 7 years but gave up trying to learn to play because it is so damn hard to play. Any advice for someone who is trying to learn?
nice. does anyone have the tabs for A Passion Play? all of the sites seem to only have the last section "Magus Perde" and i'd like the whole thing, particularly the strumming leading up to... "All along the icy wastes, there are faces smiling in the gloom..."
Hey Dani! It is great to find another Tullian here on youtube, baby! Tull Rules! You are doing a fine job. I never learned to play any of this particular album for some reason. Between you and marksecunda, I think you guys have it covered pretty well! :) Peace! LC
Hey... anyone who even attempts A PASSION PLAY gets a big BRAVO from me. Nice guitar work Dani. I would love someone to try the opening part of A PASSION PLAY.
"Do you still see me even here... The silver chord lies on the ground. And so I'm dead, the young man said."
I thought our videos should be together, so I posted mine as a response! Maybe we can alternate with the whole album! You start, with "Hare Who Lost His Spectacles"... kidding!
IS IT POSSIBLE TO POST THE CHORDS? THANKS IN ADVICE!!

Ia me ajudar bastante.
Mais uma vez parabéns
