@annuissance I disagree. At first, I thought the same exact thing. Of course, I'd rather see a healthy Jon Anderson up there singing, but Benoit David has really started to grow on me. I think he is the best possible replacement.
Oh come on Yes fans, there's no Jon but at least they're playing some different material. Thought tis was the highlight of the show, played their asses off.
OK, hats off to Steve Howe. In the second part of the solo he actually kicked in some serious distortion and displayed guitar hero playing that's been lacking in his playing over recent years. And yeah -- did Chris eat a Rickenbacker?
I am thinking (hopefully) with getting himself hospitalized that the Dr's forced him to go on a diet. He's always been a big dude, but I think he's pushing his luck.
I first saw Yes in '79 and Chris Squire was a bean pole back then. He hasn't always been this big. I never imagined he'd get so heavy. He also needs to ditch those medival tights.
@SiberianMan2u Since I started listening to Yes in 1977, their music and persona has always reminded me of medieval trubadors from a time 500 years ago.... Chris and the 'boys' attire seems so aprapos when coupled with their ethereal music.......
Fantastic version of this song. If you didn't know better you'd think Steve actually recorded the guitar parts off the album. He sounds so natural on this material, especially interesting since he didn't record it and really hasn't played it much in his career (to my knowledge). Was looking forward to this show in Phoenix, but it was not to be...
I was at this show - I thought it was one of the highlights-they sounded great. (much better than the audio on this would lead you to believe) no offense to the op!
I went to the shows in both Atlanta and and Hollywood, FL. and tickets for both said something like "no recording" but a lot of people were doing it and seemed to be getting away with it. However, the "Hell's Grannies" that they must have hired for the Hollywood show wouldn't let anyone near the stage at the end of the show unless you had a floor seat. That was kind of a drag. I got up close at the show in Atlanta for the encore.
Security at Atlanta Tabernacle grabbed us at end of show and made us delete all our videos... why they care about 320x240 videos on a pocket camera is beyond me!
Didn't have a problem there; there were lots of people with cameras. I was at Cleveland HOB for a concert in August and they didn't care either - but Chicago HOB would not allow it even though the band wouldn't have cared.
JimSVoit. I just dont like his vocals, I guess I am "old school". Im sure hes a nice guy.

Better than watching my pre-vid, I s'pose - but would NOT want to be standing in front of Chris for the concert.
