As a kid growing up in the 80's I remembered Hall and Oats as a cheesy group with a few catchy tunes. Watching this concert the other day a few things dawned on me....man these guys had a lot of hits....these songs really are brilliant (complex yet tuneful)...and Daryl Hall is the fucking man!
Just when, in my 50's, I thought I'd heard this enough when it was played to death back in the day, there renewed passion as artists made it 10x better than it ever was!
I'll be honest. I'm the biggest h&O fan. And for this reason, I'm disappointed that this performance was the one nominated. I don't want the public to learn about H&O based on this performance, which is not up their usual standard, at all. As people mentioned, they look tired, and Daryl's voice is a bit shot, and Oates messes up the guitar riff a bit. I know -- at least they were nominated and, compared to most current bands, they still did well in this performance. But still...
I'm with ya' skyline. Yeah this pretty good, but not their best, but I really like this performance. I wonder if "Everything Your Heart Desires" might have been a better choice for them...
yes I did noticed it too as well. They look tired in this performance. It did not affected the quality of it, but it seems they were having hard touring schedules prior to thisgig.
yes. I just saw that too that they were up for a Grammy for this - like 30 or so years - anyone know if they have ever received a Grammy or if a Grammy has ever been awarded to a live performance of a song that was originally released about 30 years prior? Thanks
Simply great!!!!!!!!!!

it sucks if you paid 300.00 dollars a performance!!! I love these guys but they should have really tried to sing it more like they use too!!

@BulasBar420 Seems to me if you want the old way play the record. The point of a live performance is that it's never done the same way twice.
