I mean, the style and standard software let alone the technology! I got Intel i5, N-vidia GT250s 8GB DDr3 upgradeble RAM and its a huge 16.5 inch LED screen! All for 699.99! i Done so well! What type of Dell do you have?
That is a good spec but my Dell Vostro 3700 is still working for now but maybe in a years time I might upgrade again and buy a Toshiba because they seem well built.
That Acer laptop must be like over 4 years old now.
i have one question. anyone know how to connect the aspire 3000 to a wireless connection ?. im going crazy now looking for a way to. i go to that network thing that shows the connection and stuff but all i see is local connection ? what can i do ? help please
I'd go on ahead and get a new one... Take and sell that one. Don't say anything about the funny noise. LOL Take that money and put with your pay and get a new one.

i have the same laptop and i fixed it by tightening the cooling fan cover.

I sold this laptop for £50 the other day.
It went and would not start up any more after.
I bought a new one in the end as they are quite cheap now.

Last Night my Acer Aspire 1690 laptop started making this funny noise.
It sounds like the HARD DRIVE is buggered.
Funny thing is windows is still working.
