  • so losing ones virginity means their married.....an sometimes 2 people dont work out so what...so u only got 1 shot at love.......not a sin to remarry geez.

  • @omgwtf194

very simple... if the virgin doesn't marry the man that shared her virginity, then let her remain single...she shouldn't want to be an unchaste bride to anyone else! Read Dt 22, and E# 22. May God help your understanding. Amen.

  • You stand on the Word, and that means Old and New to call out adultry, but you stop short of fulfiling God's whole will on this matter. My bible tells me that the one caught in adultry must be killed, stoned, burned, destroyed and so on. People say the punishment is no longer in effect! Well if the punishment is not in effect than neither is the charge against the adulter!! Think on that one brother. To just mish mouth about calling the remarried adulters is way short of what God demands.

  • @Paahau

the New Testament does not call for violence, and rather excommunication of an unrepentant brother

  • Remarriage is always adultery - No exceptions!

  • @Testallthings I've married 4 times what can I do?

  • @frnzkuester Don't worry about it... there's probably not a god.

  • @jesusourhealer

According to Dt. 22:29, a male was commanded to marry (take for a wife) a girl if he raped her; and it was disclosed; and under the condition that she was not engaged to anyone. He was never able to divorce her. See my sermons, esp. Illusion.

Many times today men just leave their victims. This leaves the raped female in a position to remain single unless the man who raped her is able (approved by her father) to marry her. Singles may still live happily for God.

  • @jesusourhealer

Nehemiah 10:30 And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

The whim of just any wicked and rapacious man does not grant him the right to marry a beautiful daughter. Usually, there is a big stir among the community when a blatant act occurs among a racially and culturally conscience group. Note the tragedy of the intrusion of Shechem the Hivite as he desired to miscegenate with Dinah, the daughter of Jacob.

  • Not the clearest presentation but oh such a nessasary message. I've heard nearly every justification for this sin - the 2 most famous being, maritial ifidelity (matt19:9) and abandonment (1cor7:15). Both however dont measure up to scriptual scrutiny. Matt 19:9 refers to the betrothal period thus the word fornication (pornea), so rather than being a loop hole to the hard hearted, Jesus gave the pharisees a wake up call. See matt14:3-11 the baptist died for this truth.

  • blakegardner1,

Thanks! I have other videos on YouTube and sermons on the Internet that may help clarify the subject.

  • @blakegardner1

What about when her husband marries someone else?

(since he technically is not supposed to marry either after the divorce, unless she's already dead)

  • I have no idea what you are talking about in your video. Someone gets divorced and they can't marry someone else they fall in love with? Where in scripture does God command that?

  • gariadara,

Read the free Google book on the Internet:

"The Nestorians, Or, The Lost Tribes". Many things about marriage are brought out in this book that many Americans are not familiar with. If my videos don't help you, perhaps the book will. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Sure. I'll consider checking that out (even if Nestorianism was a doctrine deemed false by the Council of Ephesus, I'm pretty open-minded, being an evolutionary biologist and all)....but reading a whole book is a lot of time. I was hoping that you could maybe succinctly clarify it here or through pm or something. Surely if it is Scriptural, you can just reference it without me having to go into extraneous and extremely questionable (technically heretical) sources.

  • gariadara,

My sermon "Illusion" explains the matter very well and is not long. I will send you the link.

  • matthew 5 :32,1 Corinthians chapter 7

  • If marriage is between a virgin female and a man, what about my grandfather raping me, stealing my virginity. Does that mean I was married to him against my will? I am not sure if I follow you on this one reasoning, especially with the rate of sexual abuse of children. What do you say about this? Does it mean that the man that produce my children was not not really my husband? Just trying to understand.

  • calmwisper1962,

Thanks for inquiring. Your father did not give you to your grandfather (impliedly)... of course! So according to your said circumstances, you were left to live a single life for God because you were deprived of offering the prerequisite of virginity to a man. My sermon Illusion explains the details of the necessity of female virginity for marriage.

Remember... Christians can live happily for God as singles!

  • Marriage is when a virgin female sleeps with a male? Geee, and I thought this whole time marriage was based upon LOVE, and when two people take VOWELS before ALMIGHTY GOD.

  • beckb25064,

    Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, many people think according to their set of philosophical values (or lack of) rather than God's commandments.

My sermon Illusion explains this very well.

  • what about if your hushband is a deadbeat husband who does not work and dabbles in drugs and does not pay one singe bill. Can the wife get out and remarry?

  • bluesky37043,

The sins of a husband do not justify the adultery of a frustrated spouse. A woman is obligated to seek God to solve her problems in a holy way, not a wicked way. See my sermons.

  • What about 1Corinthians 7(15)?

It's not a person's fault if their spouse no longer wants to be with them.

  • Dab,

Good point! I agree that there are times when divorce is permissable. Some heretics claim if an unbelieving spouse leaves a believer, the believer is not bound to the marriage relationship, but is free to remarry.1 That is a falsehood! It simply is not true. What such a situation does induce is the freedom for the believer to 'remain unmarried' mene'tow a'gamos (I Cor 7:11, 15).

  • hi! did you get the story with the women that marriages 7 times after the man pases away!!!!!

  • wozeck,

Your reference is not specific or clear to me; however, many unlearned theologians confuse the concept of permission of marriage of a chaste widow with the misperception of the illegitimacy of a divorcee committing the unchaste act of remarriage.
