@saiojin its a bit harder to wire in sensory organs than self-directed organs, I think the optic nerve wouldn't connect properly, and I'm not sure they know how to deal with it (in other words, force it to regrow and connect to the new retina) yet.

This vid was posted like 24 days after I lost my foot. Why aren't they trying to work on growing lost limbs too? I mean, I can live without a foot but not with out a heart and all but, Damnit! I want a new foot!
Takes a lot more effort and likely many more different cell types are needed. And one might just want to get an artificial leg by the time both technologies are suffiently far advanced.
