Love everything to do with this except for the walking animation, looks too stiff and i can't stand it when ur feet don't match up with how fast or what surface ur walking on. i couldn't stop looking at him sliding forwards as he walked
the graphics look pretty good, the only thing that bugs be is that theres no "real" lightsabre glow. that really takes away the whole feeling of "being a jedi or sith" :|

i mean, in wow you can play melee as well as ranged, each class has its own speciality, but melee weapons are speacially more powerful, at the cost of that you have to get in range to attack, and rangers normally have slows and stuns, any plans on allowing you to become sith or something?

This looks absolutely brilliant, everyone from wow will definitely migrate to this. You can tell when a game is going to be amazing! And all the recent mmo's that have been released: city of heroes/villains some other comic book ones. That old star wars mmo just didn't give that feeling that WoW has. But looking at this, its bettering warcraft. It just has a little shine to it :) can't wait

im glad this stuff aint on the consoles. i like the consoles but they cant handle this. its way to big for consoles and if they did put it on consoles then it would be crappy.
Also you have to consider that you aren't just dealing with an interactive environment the likes of WoW with a facelift. *ALL* of the NPC and character interactions in the game are going to be like the fully voiced cinematic they show here.
Even Aion isn't giving anything near that ambitious. Streaming all of that is gonna take some major hardware power, and some serious server throughput.
I'd rather have an immersive experience than a prettier WoW (read: Aion).
You have a lot of constraints on the design process, graphically, when you're creating an MMO.
You can't make it look like CRYSIS because you can't assume most of your audience has the hardware to run it - they don't.
You have to target your hardware requirements to the average user - most people still have single or dual core CPUs - and for the quality of your server backbone. WoW isn't incredibly complex or graphically advanced, and still suffers from major lag.
The idea of making this an mmo fascinated me. The graphics/physics and game mechanics from what ive seen, do not fascinate me in any way however. Looks terrible.

what are you talking about, those graphics are amazing for an mmo, they try to keep the graphics a little under par of current gen so that a more broad range of pc users will be able to play, because not everyone has a pc capable of current gen graphics.

Why? It cost money to keep the servers thousands of people play on up and running. Wouldn't a never ending game be better value than one that is over in one hit. To me it just sounds like you aren't a fan of mmo's full stop.
Bioware CLAIM that the story will be most important and that the game will be immersive. So if they hold true to this then you won't be doing the same thing constantly like in WoW.

...no. It is a revolution. I got tired in WoW allways hearing, "Zug Zug" from the orcs and "Whatssup?!" from the goblins everytime I clicked on them. For this game for have voice acting for every single character is an achievement all on it's own. And WoW cannot release another mmo. They can't even release Starcraft 2 and Diablo 2 when they are supposed to be released. WoW is what they focus on. And yes, it's a great game. But this looks very promising. Bioware rules.
...blizzard has always delayed their games. They say its because they release them when they are finished (wich its actually true. Creative assembly games are UNPLAYABLE until 3 patches are released like 6 months after the main release), but i think its more of a commercial strategy to sell more by creating anticipation. Trust me, they are not delaying SC2 or D3 because they cant do it on time... WoW is not their main focus now, they are just expanding the money maker as much as they can

im a wow vetran already quit for this game ive lvled two lvl 80s different classes different races i had the same experiance only difference they had were a few quest and abilities and gear otherwise it was the exact thing everyone quit saying this game is shit it beats wow wow is the same thing the wow expansion i thought looked gay the one thats coming out that stupider than holy hell. point is seriously quit being a bunch of wow fanboys this game will hurt wow belive me.

Looks awsome. However, is the game gunna be free to play? Not trying to sound cheap but thats why i despise WoW. Why pay 180 bucks a year for a game you don't ever finish, and do the same thing over and over and over again???

Why? It cost money to keep the servers thousands of people play on up and running. Wouldn't a never ending game be better value than one that is over in one hit. To me it just sounds like you aren't a fan of mmo's full stop.

That's WoW.
Bioware CLAIM that the story will be most important and that the game will be immersive. So if they hold true to this then you won't be doing the same thing constantly like in WoW.

xbox and all consoles have been always owned by Blizzard.
(Also The Creative Assembly... but they do not take their work that seriously lately...)
Bioware is great anyways.
Btw, i dont like how this game is looking. It sure has its things, but do not seem quite a revolution to me (and whats with those graphics?? even wow looks better...)
WIth the announcement of a new MMO by Blizzard i dont see how other companies keep trying it :P

...no. It is a revolution. I got tired in WoW allways hearing, "Zug Zug" from the orcs and "Whatssup?!" from the goblins everytime I clicked on them. For this game for have voice acting for every single character is an achievement all on it's own. And WoW cannot release another mmo. They can't even release Starcraft 2 and Diablo 2 when they are supposed to be released. WoW is what they focus on. And yes, it's a great game. But this looks very promising. Bioware rules.

...blizzard has always delayed their games. They say its because they release them when they are finished (wich its actually true. Creative assembly games are UNPLAYABLE until 3 patches are released like 6 months after the main release), but i think its more of a commercial strategy to sell more by creating anticipation. Trust me, they are not delaying SC2 or D3 because they cant do it on time... WoW is not their main focus now, they are just expanding the money maker as much as they can
