  • does the JGSDF oftenly play wartime gunka during marches and other times?

  • This march describes the civil war called Satsuma rebellion or Seinan war 1877. And, the composer was French man Charles Edouard Gabriel Leroux.

Probably, the reason why JGSDF and Tokyo Police play this music is that this is not based on the war with other country.

  • so...high pitched for a military march

  • Don't you forget US army still in Japan soil,& they have their army bases in Japan. Your government and leaders fully supported US army with financial aids. Don't forgert it !

Japan is not an independent country because foreign countries armies stationed at it ?

That you are so pround ? How about your nation heart, are you pround of it ? How about your right wings ? Are you do any action ? Do you want to kill Americans

  • 第一次听如此高音的陆军分列行进曲

  • 和風の魅力が出ている曲ですね。

  • This song isn't about the emperor. It was written during the Seinan war and the lyrics (there are lyrics for this song) describe the intensity of the close range fights. The last part of part 1 explains how the soldiers ran with their swords pulled out, expecting death waiting ahead of them. This song is also at times used by the GSDF as well as the police, which is sort of controversial, since if the police use this song as a marching song, then it really isn't a military march song.

  • nice. sad the japanase army wears rather ugly uniforms and has that stupid hippiename. self defence force? time japan comes back and drops the pacifist stuff.

  • 勇壮だが、若干の悲壮感も漂うところにこの曲の魅力がある。
