  • Thanks for charing! Real nice car, looks the same as mine I used to have back in the ninethies, but mine was a 2.6 GL -77. You just can`t pay enough attention too Granadas

  • what are these cars based off of? In the US there based off the Mustang chassis and the maverick & the Fox chassis basically a mustang again !

  • @ruwithlee1970 Im not sure if they are based on anything to be honest. There was nothing else like them at the time.Maybe someone might come along and have a better answer

  • @darynsax

if memory serves me uptill 1975 the european models carried the name consul , after 75 they all wore the granada badge , based around the ford zephyer/zodiac , the only differance was the front McPherson struts were replaced by double wishbones. early uk model would have had the "essex v4" or "essex v6" engine ,the E.v4 was later replaced by the pinto engine in all models .

very very nice granada btw ! , Have you seen the price these things fetch in this condition?

  • @THCmuzicalmasta I have seen the prices they fetch and this one is in lovely original condition, he is very lucky to have it wish it was mine. But I do get to drive it from time to time and it feels huge lol. You have a good bit of knowledge there and thanks for posting

  • lovely old car, i have a mk1 3.0 ghia saloon that is as original as that, i came across the car many years ago when i used to walk to school circa 1990, and then it disapeared until 2001 when it just re-appeared on the same driveway which is only a mile or so from where i live in coventry, the elderly gent had passed away the year previous. i made a sensible offer and came away with the car the same day, it passed its mot a week later and needed nothing!! good look with your coupe!
