nice work mate but in the first half of the song it needs to be constant picking (with some exceptions but you learn them in time i will post a cover for this song for this song so watch mine when i put it on). Also take counterpartsguy's advice and watch videos of geddy playing it so you get to know how to play it better. excellent work apart from that

Good work dude, bit of advice though, Geddy plays by flicking his finger over the string and back with his nail, difficult to explain, if you watch the videos thats how he gets that really distinctive tone to his playing and style! =]

The good news is that I am playing it, Not Geddy. He plays it the way he wants, and I play it the way zi want. That;s the beauty of being a creative bass player, and NOT trying to play everything note for note.

@younglung: Sorry, bro. You are seriously wrong. If you want to display your creativity, then you should create your own music. But if you dare to cover any artist's work, you should either: 1- Stick to the original performance or 2- Use your creativity to offer an IMPROVED version (there's always room for improvements) of the tune you are covering.

But in all honesty, your version is really subpar. Please don't use your "creativity" as a shield to hide your mediocrity. Go practice instead!

@Dthorn912 ... or a Wal, or a Steinberger, or a Rickenbacher, or a Fender Precision. Geddy's used a wide array of basses throughout his career (each one sounding very different from each other) so what's the problem with someone covering the song with his or her personal bass? This MusicMan sounds closer to the recorded song than a great deal of Rush bass covers on YouTube.
