Hey my leadership group is going to Indonesia next summer and a few of us are trying to learn the language and a little more about the culture before we go. It seems as if you could really help us. Is there anyway I could e-mail to talk about some details?
Oh no! I watched all 7 parts and made notes on everything .. and it's over! Thank you once again for this introduction to indonesian. I am so grateful to you for this.
What book are you reading out of? Your videos are helpful to hear someone pronouncing them, but it'd also be helpful to read from the same book you are.
tante tetep ngomong bahasa indonesia fluently nggak? Soalnya saya sudah lupa banyak bahasa. Tapi bagus kelas tante. Saya baru lihat ini. Tapi ada yang lebih susah nggak?
spitznatz, another shameless malingsia, selalu cari gara-gara. all Indonesian know that Bahasa Indonesia originally from Bahasa Melayu from Melayu Riau of Indonesia, and it is enriched by other local languages and other countries' languages.
THis is more to javanese language not Indonesia generally. And one more thing, Indonesia has no language before, it a coutry after 48. The language was stolen from Bahasa Melayu and now, they are mixing up with javanse language and call it bahasa indonesia. American does not call English language as American Language.
bungyudhoyo, the truly malingsia. learn another country history, we have proclaimed that our (national) bahasa is Bahasa Indonesia in 1928! and our independece day was in 1945 because we fought for it, not as a free gift from brit as yours!
It's rude and no respect. BattleDoll4 is joking, never listen to him. Gile lu, orang belajar serius, lu ngaco. It's better to get Indonesian slank & vulgar dictionary.
u take over 1 minute to start ur speech, and also tell us wat the words mean... [my point].(u already have what the words mean in the screen...) anyhow..great job..keep them comin
his website is ranked top, on dot com and dot co dot uk, try it, hope it goes well. example... put 'learn indonesian, we will teach you the indonesian language through a course of audio and video chapters' etc etc, make the text informative, but with lots of keywords, 'indonesian language', 'learn indonesian', I made the text white on some pages, mainly so people didn't get irritated by the text at the bottom of each of his webpages.
well done on the website, you may want to improve your keywords on your webpages, that way when someone types in keywords into a search engine you will get a better ranking, how long have you had your site up for ?, I did a website for a guy, and if I type into google he gets ranked first, I did that by adding text to the bottom of 'each page' in his website, basically describing the business, about the services and products, and now when someone enters certain keywords into google,
oke destri, lol it's an unique name though, neva heard it before ... u also teaching maleisian ain't you ... coz u teaching from the book, ... well leave me a note if u want to
'Your' is y-o-u-r in the first sentence and 'you're' in the final sentence, but you can't spell so you tried to hide it by using poor SMS-style English.
English has a capital 'E'.
You haven't punctuated anywhere in the four sentenced.
Go and take 'the' IELTS (all capital letters) or 'your' IELTS test - it needs a definite article or a possessive.
Don't has an apostrophe.
Dictionary has an 'n'. It's not a dictionary - it's a phrase book.
Terima Kasih. I am moving to Jakarta in just a little more that two weeks. I haven't known and Indonesian until now. I hope you continue with these videos.
Terima Kasih! I have been learning Bahasa from a book. By chance I saw your videos here, and I learned waaayyyy more from you than the book! Keep it up and congrats and good luck with the baby!
I just found your lessons and watched them all! I love learning languages and this is the first contact I have had with Indonesian. Thank you for your lovely lessons! I will watch them again, learn everything in them and then comment again in Indonesian!(?) By the way, I thought the restaurant conversation was fantastic. Seeing a scene like that on video, with a transcription as well as a translation all at the same time is excellent. Thank you!!
Hi, boleh kenalan ngak? kalau boleh tau kamu tinggalnya dimana soalnya saya tinggalnya di florida and lagi pingin cari teman org indo nih. Anyway i saw your video and it awesome keep going.
My wife is indonesian and she showed me your site. I have subscribed and will try to follow your teaching. I have been to indonesia twice with my wife to visit her family and picked up a lot of phrases, but am now a bit rusty. It will be fun to surprise her and our indonesian friends with new phrases. Terima Kasih
ill say this honestly, this video and the comments from people make me proud speak indonesian language for the first time... because ive been to other countries and generally, people are learning their second language, none other than chinese, japanese, french, german, and first world country's language, etc
Agree, been in overseas and just wondering why don't we popularize the languange more often? it is used by 220 million people in the world + our neighbour country Malaysia who actually has similar languange like us. Because its simplicity compared to other languages, it's easy to be learnt
I think 'di' is pretty much replacing those in/at/on, so you can say in here.. di sini.. on the desk.. di meja.. hmmm... i hope that I answered your question :P
saja is only... like for example if you want to say only one.. you can say satu saja. and nya.. can be use for belonging.. for example.. this is her book... you can say ini buku nya. :)

Hmm, the phrases make make sense... in fact, the order of words in the examples seem to correspond to the same order of English words.
However, how do you distinguish between the various meanings of "Di?" It is customary to use other words if you want to be more specific?
Just curious=P
