I know. Someone who has a lot of money to waste can make an Indycar team and name it the Turtle Molasses Team. The three drivers: Chanoch Nissany, Yuji Ide, and Milka Duno.
Hey, as pitiful as it looked, I probably couldn't have done much better. But he can always say though that he got to drive an Formula 1 car during a Grand Prix weekend and share a track with Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Kimi Räikkönen, and Juan Pablo Montoya. That would be a pretty cool story to tell.
anyone can drive an F1. what they don't say, it's only the good ones that can take it to the limit to shave extra milliseconds of the poles, and do it constantly.
any driver could be off the pace by a mere 1 or 2 seconds. what makes a difference is cutting that last 1 second.
And he started racing only 3 years PRIOR to being a test driver: that would have made Nissany 39 when he began racing. Way too old to start driving in a formula series, nonetheless Formula 1. He should have started back in 1982, not 2002.
@hoogestefan Fangio raced several seasons in the Grand Prix racing series 1946-1949 before F1 was established. Same thing with Farina, Ascari, Prince Bira etc. Besides, the average age was back then something 45 when it's nowadays 25.
@formulacountdown Yuji Ide was at least more or less on the pace in an F1 car. He also proved himself capable in lower formulae. This guy... let's just say he wasn't on the pace :)
I didn't know you were supposed to stay seated in the car when it's lifted off the trackside.
Oh, by the way, apart from the ugly protuberances on the side pods, that Minardi actually looked pretty good, especially when compared to this year's Toro Rosso.
Useless driver. Had they hired someone like Olivier Panis who was doing a similar role with Toyota, who had experience, and was almost as old as Nissany, he would have done much better.
for you people critcising him you try and do a better job. You go and find the money and get a test seat and drive as better as him. None of yous know what it feels like to drive an F1 car. Now your all going to say oh but it had traction control. Well its still hard
He actually had significant racing experience, so if you haven't even sat in a proper outdoor racing kart before, imagine how worse you'd be than him?
Sorry, must have missed the bit where he added some speed to his tractor. Is he for real? It's like watching someone splutter around with a terminal fault - only slower.
I remember he was referred to as the slowest Formula One driver after this. I guess even Alex Yoong in a Minardi would've beaten Nissany in a Ferrari.
@Kneseth56 I still think Délétraz and Inoue are slightly worse than he was.

With Nissany, Ide, Piquet jr and some others drivers show us it's wrong.

The difference is: I know I couldn't drive an F1 car during a race weekend. And I don't want to either.
He also cannot drive an F1 car competitively, but he paid for the seat. Just watching him drive on this lap shows he cannot handle an F1 car.
