Well LOTR hasnt beaten down WOW....not even close infact thier numbers are not what they

were hoping for. LOTR is not what they were hoping for. Its going to go f2p before years end at the rate it is going.

While LOTRO has not "beaten down WoW" yet, it *IS* the #2 MMO out there, and it's doing very well for itself. In fact there are 3 more free books coming some (books are free content additions, some of which are equal in size to paid expansion of other MMO's, and it's first paid expansion coming this fall, Moria, which takes players from 50-60, and is MASSIVE in size and scope, and adding a whole helluva lot more than just raid after raid. No, sorry, LOTRO is not anywhere near being f2p.

Okay well said,but I did play LOTR and having played wow, I felt I was back in it all over again. I couldnt start another wow again. From all the videos I have seen it really hasnt changed much other then MORE content. The entire combat system is chunkie and basicly WOW SILLY. BUt YES I know LOTR fans dont care about anything BUT the TITLE. It could be 16 color and it would stilll be awesome. I know the LOTR follow is massive and unyielding. But we shall see time will tell :)

no, WoW has already been replaced by LOTRO. Conand and LOTRO have 2 different battle systems so 1 cant possibly decapitate the other. One you aim, the other it homes in.

It comes down to economy, graphics and gameplay. Economy - WoW sucks, everyone is conceited and refuses to help a stranger without a reward. Graphics is a given. Gameplay - LOTRO >= WoW

Personally, I found LOTRO too confusing in lore, gameplay etc...However, with WoW it's kinda easy to follow the lore, the gameplay is easy to figure out and so on.

I'm not a hardcore LOTR fan, but I've read the books (cant remember shit of them though :\) and whatnot, but when I found out that Elrond suddenly had two sons, and you interact with them, it kinda went downhill from there. Might be I'm an idiot, but the truth is, WoW pwns LOTRO, even though LOTRO is a much newer game.

The thing that makes Eve a better game was illustrated very well on the video. They interviewed a bunch of people about WoW and out of 4 people interviewed 3 of them were about 12. Who wants to play with a bunch of 12 year olds? Eve is, hands down, the most intellectual MMO out there. You need to know quite a bit about math and politics to play with any degree of success. So good luck with your other 11 tablets; I'm going to go conquer the universe.

EVE = rubbish I played for over 3 years, it's a slow game to get anything done, missions become a grind with the same one over and over again as does ratting and mining. And PvP has too much politics about it.

(Lenderz) the Eve community hasn't submitted any content yet but we get a lot of WoW content from gamers. We would really like to go indepth with Eve but we would need community participation to make it happen the right way. Anyone can upload videos at the Total MMO website.
