  • wonerful wonerful....a'la Lawrence Welk.....I like the part wher one bird is standing on another to get a taste....lol....great videography too...

  • Everyone thinks that this is such a beautiful occurrence but obtaining food means life or death for these birds before migration. Welcome to the cruel reality of nature, youtubians.

  • how wonderful i LOVE these little birds so does my mom but we dont get that meny in Texas

  • WOW ! Now they have remote controlled birds?

What kind and how many batteries do they use?

  • @SparksMagoo LOL I hope you're kidding, these are real birds, they are called hummingbirds.

  • Madre mia que hermosura!!!!

  • they're too cute!

  • tiny beautiful angels that bring BIG joy! thanks for sharing!

  • Go on and debate creationism vs. evolution... Go on forever with the pointless bickering. I mean WHATEVER you do... DO NOT take a few moments just to simply marvel at these tiny vortices of vibrational energy. It's far more important for your ego to try to prove you're right than it is to actually enjoy nature for what it is!

BTW, here's the secret: Neither creationism or Darwinism is correct. They are both incomplete interpretations arising from lack of a proper dimensional frame for the data.

  • @stvbrsn you are foolish

  • @Buccaneerfan13 That's great!

  • @Buccaneerfan13 I saw a bunch of insulting comments on this thread, some of them profane, back and forth between "creationists" and "evolutionists," and made a facetious comment that they should stop and just enjoy the birds. Is that foolish? I also shared my understanding that the cosmological truth is somewhere in between. In some eastern traditions that would be considered the wise path. In the western context, I guess that's foolish, too.

I am content to be a wise fool.

    Cheers!

  • i like how they can hover 100%~

  • we have a few hummingbirds around our place, but nothing like this... a hummingbird invasion is the best kind of invasion you could hope for.

  • Seen a hummingbird trying to attack a sparrow the other day. You do not want to tick off one of these lovely creatures. Poor bird, he finally got away.

  • No Bible needed to see creation. Only ignorance can come to a conclusion like evolutionary theory.

  • @nivchek

"its pretty therefore it was created!"

  • @nivchek actually you can see how evolution happens, dipshit. Everyday the weaker less adapted animals die and the stronger more adapted animals produce offspring. creation is stupid as fuck.

  • I love that feeder , I have 40 of them up by the end of the season. I hate to see them fight over food...I say...dont fight! I'lll get you your own feeder but they still fight .

  • Why is the feeder empty? Grrrrrr!!!

  • red dye?

  • awww Lovely vid !

  • So cute! I love my hummingbirds. Looks like my birds here in TN :)

  • i see the ruby-throats but i think i see a couple of black-chinneds too

  • I saw one of these outside my house today.

A sick day instantly became a great day at that very moment. ^.^

  • when i was little i always thought that humming birds where half bird half butterfly

  • God was in a good mood when he created these wonderful creatures

  • @RyanWehr You got the right idea!

  • @RyanWehr "god" has nothing to do with it... educate yourself! Google 'Origin of birds' or pick up a book BESIDES the bible, you might actually learn something.

  • I have a lot of humming birds this year,i will feed them from my hand before the season is over,i sing to them now,if they arent there i start singing little birdie over and over and she comes everytime and just sit not always eating, this has come to me at a time in my life when my husband is bed fast i go outside alone now and just watch them gives me joy.

  • I have never seen that many humming birds in one place!

  • I miss hummingbirds..sigh.

  • aaaaaahhhhh someone turn that aweful 'telephone hold music' off!!!!

  • yeah, could have done without the music, wanted to hear the birds!

  • so they were not bothered by you playing the guitar while they fed? hehe

  • It would have been a little better without the background music. Most true hummer enthisiast just want to hear the hummers by themselves. Thats just my opinion.

  • I LOVE HUMMING BIRDS! I LOVE MY BEIJA-FLOR! I LOVE MY COLIBRIS!! XXX

  • Lol At 2:39 you can see a hummingbird perching on another hummingbird to get a drink

  • i love humming birds, they make me happy :]

  • Wow that's awesome, that's a lotta hummingbirds~!

  • sugar rushhhhhhhhhhh

  • I have set two of these little guys go two different times. You see they tend to fly into buildings.

  • theyre so cute ^.^

  • Looks like they drank your feeder dry!!

  • need more feeders

  • its like their on crack lmao

  • hmm, i was told by a bird watcher those were annas. but im i n calif so there might be a difference.

  • LOL they poke them in the ass!

    "Move it! My turn!"

  • LOVE the squeaky little noises they make! You must live Down South; we get Hummers' in Michigan but NEVER this amount. GREAT camera work! Thank you.

  • the ruby/red neck hummers are called "Annas Hummingbirds"

  • @captpinchcard no dabma was right, these are ruby-throated hummingbirds. Anna's hummingbirds have a red crown in addition to the red throat and are not found in Louisiana.

  • I love hummingbirds! I can't wait until It gets warm so I can watch and feed them again. They are sooooo cute!

  • Enjoyable

  • So so cute

  • I don't know why, but for some odd reason, I always thought of hummingbirds as bugs. Now I feel stupid after watching this video.

  • @native0utlaw hummingbirds are like bird-sects. Its there acrobatical skills.

  • That's simply beautiful! They are so pretty.

  • awwww so cuuuuute~)) we have no thouse birds in russia(((

  • I just love those cute guys. I haven't gotten to many this year. I don't know why. Maybe the heat it has really been hot.

  • i wonder wat that taste like

  • what r they eating ???? i need 2 know !!

  • @97sexybeast use 4 parts water to 1 part sugar. boil it and let it cool then put it in your feeder. no need for red dye either. I heard it can hurt the birds. just make sure your feeder has some red on it.

  • @97sexybeast i used 1 cup sugar to 4 parts water. then fill the feeder 1/4th to half way full. then u can refrigerate the rest up to 2 weeks. change every few days if its really hot but if its not hot you can let it go a week maybe.

  • @MClown69 Good advice...especially about not filling the feeder all the way (wastes a lot of juice if not consumed within a few days). Keeping the feeder clean is very important to avoid mold and other hazardous organisms that thrive in the sugar-water environment.

Also important to mention is not adding red food coloring (or buying commercially-made "nectar" with red dye), as it is unnecessary and potentially harmful...if the human and mice studies are any indication.

  • @Kennedale01 another good tip is try not to use a cheap feeder that leaks or if ya got a good one try not to spill any liquid on the feeder and if ya do wipe it up with hot water or else the bees and wasps will find it and use it as food too. had hummers and bees fighting on my cheap feeder! also wasps built a nest on my boat thats next to the feeders and when walking to fill i got stung twice in the ear when i spooked them. had to exact revenge on them and hit them with the raid! die bitches!

  • That's a lot of hummers at one time.

  • how long did it take for that many birds to fined your feeder? nice video

  • wow ..beautiful nature at it's best

  • Es magnifico, son increíbles y tantos y de diferentes especies, son geniales.

  • Hi .. congrats by the images. I wonder what you usually take place for the birds. Thanks

  • What a great demonstration of their flying.

  • These seem a bit more docile than the Hummers that come around my house. They knock each other to the ground and guard the feeder.

  • Have never seen so many Hummers in one place! A beautiful sight (and video) - 5/5 stars! Love the ruby throated one. =]

  • Cool!

  • Do you have a garden planted for them? I hear that its best to have shrubs of various sizes for them. Just wondering if that is what attracted so many.

  • Never seen so many at one time!

  • OMG...I think I died and went to bird heaven! How LUCKY are you to have this many Hummers at once, like we have English sparrows...Oh, if only...:-)

  • get a sparrow trap then sell them as live pet food at pet stores

  • sem graça

  • LMAO @ 2:40, the male is on top of the other male feeding at the same flower!

  • you will find that birds are creatures of habit and will stop off at the same spots almost every day ,,just make sure you always have something for them to go at

  • do not add food colouring to the water - it blinds them!

  • at 24 the right bird got kicked lol

  • Excuse me the feeder is empty please juice up?

  • Is it safe to add food coloring to sugar water?

  • you drink stuff with coloring and sugar in it all the time

  • hey i got a ruby throated hummingbird today. Oh my gosh they're so small I never seen one in my life before and wow. It was awesome!!! I hope they come back. I have a question if you try to take a picture and you scare it away will it come back???? thank for telling me the food ingredients write back thanks

  • i beleive they should come babck, as long as there is a food scource they should come back

  • love the vidio

  • It looks like the tape is fast forwarded (is that even a word?).

  • Fanastic, beautiful creatures. What are they eating from this feeder?

  • its hilarious how they poke eachother

  • Hummingbirds are beautiful. Truly a gift = )

  • What a great video! I just love hummingbirds. We have a family of 3 Annas at our home and they've become part of the family. Mama hummer is nesting right now so the family is growing. I have never seen them share the feeder so this was pretty amazing. Nectar is a fine source of nutrition - 1 cup sugar to 4 cups water and boil for 3 minutes. They need it to survive because when the flower source is down they depend on it. Thanks again for a great video.

  • Honest question: is it healthy and safe to feed them sugar water mixes? Isn't that a poor diet for these birds? I know they have high caloric needs, so do feeders, in the long run, create a poor nutritional diet?

  • Hummingbirds get the energy they need to maintain their astonishing metabolism primarily from flower nectar and the sugar water they find at feeders. For protein and other nutrients, they also eat soft-bodied insects and spiders, sugar is just the fuel for getting their real nourishment

  • Is that a commercial Nectar? they seem to love it! great video!

  • They are amazing. Agree you should have left out the guitar music, the bird noises alone sound beautiful but they are muffled by music

  • Hey dabma,

I like your hummingbird video. It is amazing to see so many in one place. Check out my hummingbird videos at westviewhomeandyard.

    Cheers,

    Robin

  • My hummers have all flown south for the year, so this is a great video. I can watch those little guys forever!

  • That's a really good video. I have a video that I posted on my profile of a LOT of humming birds that you should see too.

  • Lovely to see so many hummingbirds in one place! Beautiful images!

  • Great video...except for the cheesy looped guitar music. The natural sounds of the birds should've been left alone. Far more real and interesting. Otherwise, a great show of mass feeding and quarreling! Se la vi!

  • Amazing!!!

  • Very interesting to see so many at one time. Great video.

  • beautiful video - i saved it to my favorites.

  • I believe the that the red one with green is a Calypte Anna, or maybe even a Ruby.

  • i luv the 1 with the red face and the 1 thats green

  • Wow! So many! How do you get so many to feed at once? I have one male that chases away all the others, even the females.

  • awesome birds! are they owned by someone? lol ...but they're not in the cage. does it mean that you can only enjoy watching them if you'll set up that feeding thing outside your house? are they people sensitive? sorry i really have no idea... there's no humming birds in our place. lol

  • This is so beautiful the sounds of the birds and the music and seeing so close up how they fly and interact. Nice video.

  • Very cool.

  • It was so cool to see the hummingbirds flying around and competing for "feeding perches." The close ups were great!
