I think a lot of the players that were in Whitesnake didn't want to put that much effort in doing it the way people are used to hearing it. It is a real tribute to Reb and Doug and how much class and musicianship these guys have, in that they have enough respect to the audience and even to John and David for that matter to try to do it right. Doug doesn't seem to be trying to solo better than Sykes like he is competing with him, just seems to be trying to be faithful to the music. Very cool.

i duno what the real name for it is, but zakk wylde apparently calls it "auto-flanging" theres a vid from a total guitar magazine showing you how to do, it's on youtube aswell i think. i think all you basically do is a couple of hammer-ons n pull-offs whilst sliding your hand up the neck

This is from the concert "In the still of the night" in 2006. You can get the DVD (I did as soon as it came out lol) and you won't be disappointed I guarantee.

@jjmac1970 - Tommy doesn't play any longer with Whitesnake. It is just DC, but you'll love the lineup from this tour/concert in 2006.

DC, Doug, Reb, Marcos, Tommy and Timothy kicked ass :) They finally decided to have a US tour as well, but they are not coming to my town @#$&!. Now the bassist & drummer are new. Hope it helped :P

New bassist and the drummer are Uriah Duffy on bass and Chris Frazier on drums, they're more than good replacement for Tommy and Marco. I listened to them twice last year in mentioned lineup, they really rock, but David unfortunately lost his voice... Anyway, wort to see the concert.

I had the pleasure of working for them as a stagehand. I can tell you they wont dissapoint you! What an amazing show. They are just so damn awesome live! Better then on cd if you ask me. You get blown of your feet by their performance. So much energy and intensety. And it was my greatest pleasure to meet the band. I have to tell you they are very very nice in person!
