I've noticed the way in which youtube comments are quite aggressive because of a music genre being copied or a band that has a weird look or a band that isn't being true to it's roots or whatever. I kinda stopped this, how can you make friends if everyone listens to one genre of music? Let's just chill and enjoy it without the bullshit analysis. If it sounds good and releases dopamine to the brain, well, that's pretty much good enough for me. Less pickiness, more "awesome song" comments :)

He may have been inspired by them to some extent too- but artist carry the things they like with them, they don't have a choice, no ones completely original. That being said this band is far more unique then many and have a quite "original spin" did I just say that? yeah. yeah. That was me ;D.

I love both the Pixies and Mother Mother. I don't see how they sound anything alike... Instrumentally they are completely different. The vocals are kind of similar, but the lyrical content is completely different. Mother Mother is more a band about sexuality and love, The Pixies are more about hidden religious messages, or other things

I agree that Mother Mother sounds like The Pixies, but to say that they are ripping them off is a bit of a stretch. The Pixies will always be my favorite band, and will always be my biggest influence, but I actually found mother mother through watching pixies videos on youtube. And I really love Mother Mother. Good music is just good music. who cares where it came from? Just appreciate it.

went to see them live in concert just this wednesday at the Vogue theatre! I am pleased to say they were just as AMAZING live as they are in their recordings. Jasmin definitely stole the show with her wild dancing and hair whipping... but they were all great together :D
