  • 4/1-2012: 3-0, we beat the scum 3-0.

TOON TOON BLACK AND WHITE ARMY!

  • Cantona, Poborský, Shearer!!!

  • Thumbs up if u want to see the great duo of Andy Gray and Martin Tyler do do commentary!

  • BenArfaAndTiote anyone? hehe

  • Watching this after we beat them 3-0 4/1/12

  • 3-0 <3

  • Alan Shearer, top bloke

  • This was fantastic and I remember it well... but good god Andy Gray shut the fuck up......

  • albert.... wow.

  • Sitting here with a massive smile on my face, this is what football is all about! It was great the first time round and it's still great the hundredth time!

  • Classic !

  • beckham world class?! give me a break...the only time he was on cam was when he complaining....TOON ARMY!

  • Buncha weirdos!

  • these are better goals than Manchester City's

  • RANTRANTRANT. Oh dear. Looks over dunnit.

  • this is 15 years to the day!

  • Awwww poor little msn u didnt get their own way, one of the few refs who doesnt take back handers off the cheating twats!!!!, hate nakems but despuse man u, regards from the peterlee NME.

  • back when newcastle were at their prime

  • People can say all they want about this result and how Newcastle have or have not progressed since but that day was one of the happiest of my life. Geordie irish for life.

  • Referee was fantastic as well. Two early, big decisions went (rightly) in Newcastle's favour where more often than not you'd see them go Man united's way. Phenomenal game.

  • Absolutely LOVE 7.19 David Ginola Skinning the life out of Gary Neville and Scholes GET IN!

  • 9 mackems disliked

  • GARY NEVIILE IS A PUFF

  • love andy grays back tracking on the first goal...oh dear...what a cunt.

  • Okay, let's have it, Ferguson. It was the referee's fault, right? With a proper referee (and the usual 34 minutes of overtime), you would have won that game, right?

  • fergie said after getting beat to barcalona 3 - 1 , we have never been stuffed like that before, excuss me toon 5 man u 0

  • Philippe Alberts goal was just pure genius!.......the vision and technique was world class......Stunning goal, and and what a fantastic match. NUFC FOREVER!!

  • giggs must've been playing then cause his experince at playing away would've been helpful

  • This video still gives me goosebumps, I remember I was almost in tears on the day I was so happy. The commentary from Tyler and Gray was top notch. The Albert goal was great but I can't but help loving the Ginola goal, that guy was out and out class, we just don't have match winners like him anymore. In fact, when was the last time you saw a goal like that scored in the Premiership? We seem to be losing all the long range specialists. Ginola was certainly one of them, amazing.

  • best game ever, commentary still gives me chills, "philippe alberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtttttttttttt ooooooooooooh"

  • we would have won that game last night if those bunch of dirty hacking scumbags didnt do what they done

  • ...Yet still went on to fuck up the league. Dear me.

    Awesome performance this though.

  • just shows how much football has changed due to money... quite sad to see! TOON TIL I DIE

  • One of the greatest Toon match i've ever seen. Still gives me goosebumps till now.

  • That last goal really rubbed the salt into the wound!!

  • HAHAHA Gary neville at 7:19 made me ROFL, What a match though if only man u could lose like this all the time :)

  • I'm an LFC fan but i admit this Newcastle team were awesome,The deadliness of Shearer, creativity of Albert,Class of Ginola who was a joy to watch,Srnicek 1 of the 21st Eastern European Keepers to make his mark on the PL. Experience of Beardsley. Although Man utd were not too bad,Cantona,Beckham,Scnmichael,Scholes and Giggs in their prime

  • not many goals makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck but alberts goal did and still does, fan bloody tastic.

  • Albert! the greatest goal scored by a defender. And the only Belgium to speak with a Geordie accent!!!

  • Ahh yes the classic game, if you look closely at 2:01 you will see Christian Bale back when he played for Man U

  • Newcastle Dream Team :) The last gollll is Awesome :)

  • Newcastle Dream Team :)

  • Newcastle Ream Team :)

  • Andy Gray at his best there for the Albert goal

  • Newcastle 5-0 Man United......The best game of football ever played :)

  • @Brightfox14 I´d say the 4-4 v Gooners last season and the 7-1 v Spurs in the 96/97 campaign ranks equal to this one.

  • Taxi for G. Neville at 7:19

  • Haway the lads!

  • ....HEADER'S HALF BLOCKED...ITS ROLLIN.....IT'S ROLLIN.....oh dear....

  • What was the MU keeper doing for the last goal!?

  • Shearer, Ginola, Beardsley, Ferdinand etc... best year for Newcastle

  • can hardly hear the commentators coz the noise

  • could have been 6 or 7. best day of my life.

  • If I could go back in time ala Michael J Fox being at that game would be the first on my itinerary. The most entertaining game in Premier League history.

  • ha ha man u suck

  • cheatin bastards looking for a penaly.

  • this game has been and will be the best highlight of my life!!! bring back the entertainers!!!

  • What year was this?

  • @gyrogerg 1996

  • amazing!

  • As a Geordie, if Newcastle won the league once in my lifetime i would be happy and that would be enough for me.

As for Manchester United and Chelsea, winning it once is not enough for them.

To them it's not a dream to win the league, it's an obsession.

I wonder what there players would do if there wages were cut drastically.

    They'd say FUCK OFF!

It's just all money for them.

The rest of the premiere league fight for there dreams and take pride playing.

Money is of little importance to us.

  • haha always nice to see united getting destroyed i'm gonna watch em lose 5-0 to chelsea next

  • My english teacher was in the crowd that day.

  • hate twat ferguson love the toon back where we belong,

  • I do feel for the Man U keeper at goal no. 4 he works his arse off! Oh well! NUFC FOR LIFE!

  • This was a good Newcastle team... they just needed a world class goalkeeper and one good central defender (to replace Darren Peacock) and th title was theirs... they didn't need Asprilla...

  • Thankyou so much for this, best match ever, best newcastle team ever and we,re going back up where we belong howaayyy the lads !!!!

  • thats a nice playing

  • We didn't manage to get tickets and didn't have Sky in my house then to watch this. I was too young to get in at a pub so I went round a mate's house.

    They were Man U fans.

One of the best days of my life.

  • i never git tired of hearing andy grays "oh dear" after his fuckin instinctive fuckin moanin

  • And united to walk to the league title

  • Too true my friend, Andy gray!!!! what a wanker,,,,ha ha ha HOWAY THE TOON!

  • "oh dear" hahaha andy gray, what a knob.

This video never fails to put is a good mood - what a day that was.

  • 5:05 it cracks me up when the Man U fans start booing shearer and then he crosses for Ferdinand to score ! lol

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH !! :)

  • That day will stay in the minds of all us proud geordie fans. toon army till the end. 5-0 over the munichs it was awesome. just wait till next season the toon are on the march again

  • I was working in Newcastle at the time. Some of the TV shops and larger supermarkets kept running the game on a loop for days after the match. Man Utd didn't play at all badly but they were well and truly shafted by a fantastic Newcastle performance. A great day for the players but especially for Keegan after his spat with Ferguson. Always a real delight to see Man Utd lose.

  • im lfc fan ... But well done the toons !

  • im not a newcastle fan im i liverpool but this video make me smile so much to see the scum get beat 5.0 by the toon

  • Shame your team is so wank now

  • Ahh! Those were the days! This was a fantastic match and what made it even better was that Man Utd actually looked quite dangerous that day. Well done to both teams!

  • This actually brings a tear to my eye,

  • if Carlsberg made football matches, they'd look like this

  • The good old days! Newcastle are coming back

  • That is very prominent indeed

  • andy grey, here´s some words for you, on a plate, there your own, why don´t you eat them, it was in

  • Loved this match. Phillip Albert.... OHHHhhhhhhh! :D

  • im guessing this was back in the day when you didn't have to billions of pounds to be good and the decissions you made on the pitch determined the outcome not the decisions you made with the money

  • 2:19 lol

  • This is the best game i have ever seen, we will be back next season. COME ON THE GEORDIES!!

  • Dunno if this vid makes me happy or sad,, happy coz we had a fantastic team and a fantastic manager (at the time) but how its all gone wrong in the space of 13 years,, however we will be back if not this season then the next,, Up the Mags!!

  • What a fucking day this was

  • ginola and beardsley. pair of geniuses

  • im 18, and a long life fan of nufc, but didnt really have these days because i was too young, i just wish they would come back, so we can sing the toons tunes at the top of the table, once again

  • 9:15

  • I'm a neutral (well not quite, Bolton fan who despises (Man) United, but I love this game, and I love goal number five. Even I'll admit Schmeichel was one of if not the best keeper the Premiership's ever seen, so to see him rooted and watching like that... magnificent.

Wonder how St. James' will look this season! (no piss-take, just wonder thats all!)

  • We'll be back

  • Hope you are mate, hope you are. As a Bolton fan, this video was the happiest non-Bolton game I think I ever saw.

  • PROUD TO BE A GEORDIE, HOWAY THE TOON!

  • we´ll be back

  • THIS IS FOOTBALL!!!!! HOWAY THE LADS! HOWAY THE TOON! HOWAY THE ENTERTAINERS!! GOOD TIMES!! /swedish mag

  • It was.

  • HAHHAA shearer really rubbed it in at 5:21

  • yeah man u fans giving him crap while he's got the ball and then he sets up ferdinand. classic shearer

  • no i just think its a stupid argument about a great goal. Schmeichel didn't stay on his line. albert saw the opportunity to chip with 2 or 3 defenders closing him down and he did so with real class.

  • people go on about Phillipe Albert's goal as being a great goal. I personally don't think it was. If you notice Schmeichel comes ridiculously far off his line when he doesn't need to. Albert is being closed down from the Utd defenders and it would take some shot to beat Schmeichel from there. But Scmeichel makes it easy.

    Think on!

  • yeah i am thinking and i think you just listed all the main reasons why it was a great goal

  • Errrr

well u obviously wasn't thinking very hard!! You from the North East by any chance?

If you actually read what I wrote you would understand that if Schmeichel stayed on his line, Albert wouldn't have had the opportunity to do that..

    Think on!

  • yeah im still thinking, and you still have listed everything thats good about that goal. the fact is Schmeichel didn't stay on his line he went on the 6 yard box and albert delightfully chipped him, it flew beautifully over him. no im from australia

  • ''The fact is Schmeichel didn't stay on his line''....

You make it sound like he HAD TO GO WALKABOUTS. He didn't have to do it. If he'd stayed on his line that shit wouldn't have happened.

You're from Australia? Maybe they see things differently down under.

    Hmmmmmmmm........

  • To all "glory hunters" accusers:

to have a fan outside your town, country, you must be successful, otherwise you are not on TV or net. These fans are not less loyal than any local ones. Please, if you are a "martyr", its your choice, don't rush to blame others in "glory-hunting"... if the glory is not yours.

  • too all the geordies of newcastle, i salute you from melbourne. We are in the Championship, but we will come right back up. we will find better players and the squad will be motivated properly hopefully through our main man. We cannot have any blame on alan for his efforts in trying to inspire the team, the players are to blame. Memories like this thrashing of Man U are good things for us to look back on for now.

    SHEARER!!

  • this cheered me up but also saddened me aswel to see how we are playing now from when we used to play as the entertainers !

  • Comment removed

  • i will sure think about what i am saying ,, toon chappy ,,

heres a thought you'll be better off next season as your season ticket will be a lot cheaper in the championship.....

  • 132me132 your a retard if what you said you really think. You obviously have no inteligence about football. Man united WILL uses there youth squad and the youth players will see that game as a chance to prove themselves to Alex Ferguson so the will try to best hull and also Newcastle beat Aston villa 2-0 earliar this season, aston villa have only take 7 points from the last 6 games. No disrispect for aston villa fans. So REALLY think about what you say next time.

  • Legendetic06.... Newcastle beat an on form Man U, totally shut them out, thats the difference. Newcastle were, nd still are, in a rite fukin state for the 6-2 6-0's, nd dont forget Newcastle beat Man U 3-0 once aswell

  • 132me132

wots the difference between man u and newcastle?

newcastle would fill their stadium even if we did go down (which we wont)

    SHEARER!! SHEARER!! SHEARER!!

  • this has to be one of the best matches of the 1990's. the geordies are loud as ever, fair refereeing, amazing football and so many top players involved

  • Souness ruined us.

  • oh dear it looks over IT FUCKING IS OVER THE LINE U TWAT

  • a na manu supporters are mostly fat americans and other glory hunters cant blame the americans wot good team do they have lol

  • and since then united have beat newcastle 5-1 twice, 6-2 and 6-0. happy days..

  • Comment removed

  • unbelievable chip

  • "I love it if we beat them!!, bloody love it!!", they did in the end! :D.

  • So funny when Schemichel rubs his hands in the towel after letting in the second goal!! hahaha!!!. As if that's going to make his gloves more effective!!, he let in 3 more after that!.

  • stupid man utd. glory newcastle(:

  • HAPPY DAYS!!!!!

  • those were the days

  • Finally proper highlights!! Now for one where manu win...

  • we were absolutely brilliant, i wish those days could come back to GeordieLand:)

glory hunters- man u supporters!!! :@

  • great to hear andy gray being his normal sky sports anti newcastle bigot, only to concede that it did cross the line :)

  • most man utd supporters are glory hunters man. not like us true geordies

  • let us have our day!. phillipe albert is a true geordie hero. danish bacon had no chance. love it

  • man united are fucken shit half ov there supporters are fucken glory hunters man. not like us geordies

  • The next day there was an advert for "Spot the Ball" in the paper. It featured a sketch drawing of Schemichel with 5 crosses drawn around him!!!hahaha!!!.

  • And yet, we still have more fans than most clubs, despite not having won the League since 1927

Now that's loyalty, and no, I'm not bitter over 1996 either

If you lose 8 games (including both against your main rivals at the time) you can neither expect or deserve to be champions

However, with everything Manchester United have achieved since 1992, why do some of you still seem to care so much about such an insignificant defeat (for you)

After all, you still won the title that season

  • Proud to be geordie

  • fuck u geordie cunts it took u 90 mins 2 beat us 5 0 it took uc 45 mins to beat u 6 0 and im from newcastle alberts goal better than sex wot r u a puff

  • u are pathetic ur from newcastle and u support manu wot a joke now ur a propa glory hunter lol ur just really sad a feel sorry for u

  • One of the things i love best about this is we put out the exact same team that got beat weeks befor in the charity shield. and not only was it 5-0 but by 5 different players 2 of which defenders! fucking brilliant!

  • makes you feel a bit better about the toon. how gud was ginola! beardsley was fukin awsum! and mr Albert fuck me what a lob! probs my fav goal of all-time!

  • can you imagine being stood in the gallowgate on that day? fuckin hell

  • the good old days

  • fuckin quality man

  • yes it was

  • Phillipe Albert's goal there was genius.

Newcastle were a fabulous team to watch then.

  • I've watched this game so many times i've lost count! Yet it's still just as sweet as the first time I saw it!

  • TBH, as much as I respect Keegan, it is probably time that we moved on from this whole KK saga. These Nigerians had better have their act together.

  • we will be back...the king is coming back

  • I hope so mate.

  • we will be back

  • Watching this video just makes me more depressed about what is happening to this football club right now.

  • them good old days

  • the script its complete from newcastle united...classic...the entertainers are back!!

  • this could have easily been 7 or 8. shearer had the rocket of the post, baty just put it wide, ferdinand with that header, omg what a day, what a team, what a Newcastle United
