  • Absolutely beautiful this rifle. One of the best weapons ever made.

  • I have one great old smoke pole and shoots great. modern rifles cant take punishment like those can,,, I love mine damn fine rifle.

  • have a enfield from 1950 its very nice nice,wonderfull gun..............hickok rocks.............

  • I think it'd be insanely funny to see a group of metal detector enthusiast go over the Hickok compound. haha

  • if you have to force anything youre doing something wrong i also have a mk3 love everything about it whats the avrage distance on a 180gr round like the ones he is using

  • I was hoping you were going to draw your Glock and do some close quarters shooting to finish off that last target ha,ha! Nice video.....Love my 303!

  • i loled so hard at the end! love the vids mr hicock!

  • could you do a krag jørgensen video ?? would be awsome :D

  • Without sounding like a kiss ass,but you're a good shot with the battle sights.Im hopeless with them!

  • You should learn to fire and reload it without taking it off your shoulder so you can do what Brit soldiers were trained to do: 10 rounds in 8 seconds!

  • Haha! I was not expecting the run at the end! Jolly good video, Mr. Hickok!

  • I hear you about the soft point getting snagged in the breech i just ram the son of a gun into battery. also, if you check the feed lips on the magazine you might find that ones a little more bent than the other we have problems with the cartridges pointing up on an sharp angle then when you go to throw one into the chamberit flicks up and too the left and gets the point snagged.

  • awesome gun

  • the magazine is detachable?? i never knew that! cool!

  • the outtakes were funny by the way.

  • ist a mag problem i have one and it dose not get cot up soft point is all you can get here in canada

  • @metisman100 It's the rim of the top round getting caught behind the last one. Set them in just forward of the previous round and you won't have problems.

  • hickok you live my idea of a perfect life. dont you neighbours get annoyed by the constant gunshots?

  • You should try a Mad Minute with that sometime. It's an old British Army drill; 300 yards, 12" bull, standing to prone, as many rounds as you can fire in 1 minute. Only hits count. The record was set in 1913 by one Sgt.-Instructor Snoxall; he scored 38 hits. You'll need a bunch of chargers for it though.

  • You sir, are a legend.

  • Pretty sprye

  • im thinking of creating a WWII rifle collection, right now i have a Mosin Nagant M91/30, and an Arisaka Type 99, which is sporterized, which pisses me off! but i'm eventually going to add the Enfield, a Mauser '98, and an M1 Garand. i'm only 15, so creating a collection made up of these rifles is going to take a while lol. i was wondering, what type of Enfield is that? and do you have a Mauser '98?

  • @TheCGIMaster , Really? That's news to me. I have lots of guns and I see lots of guns every week; very few of them have smooth barrels. Just the shotguns.

  • @TheCGIMaster Dude... What are you, eleven? How could you be this stupid.

  • @snomankak

They ain't called Guns you tard, their rifles. Learn your firearms. For example, A gun is something like, a Machine Gun, or a Pistol, or a Shotgun.

    A rifle is something like.

The 303. Enfield, The L85 SA80, the FN FLA, or the Kalashnikov AK 47.

    And no, I'm 17.

  • @TheCGIMaster What are you talking about? Guns haven't been smooth bore for like 350 years, unless it was a shotgun, or a derringer or something. You can't just tell hickok45 what a difference between anything is, if it has anything to do with a firearm. You just can't do that. Hickok is way more experienced then you will be in your entire life.

  • @snomankak

Well then, I apologise, I was just saying that if you were to look down the barrel of a rifle, you will see it has a spiral pattern, where as if you look down a gun barrel, you will see the barrel doesn't have the spiral pattern. So yeah I am sorry, and I apologise Hickok for being so picky.

  • @TheCGIMaster Wait no, your not getting it. Guns are just a generalization of firearms. It just like saying "firearms". Firearms and guns are the same thing. Just a general word. It's like saying "fruit" and a banana. It's silly when you say "you can't call a banana a fruit, a banana has a yellow pill and a fruit doesn't". Do a little more research before you go telling people what's what. That's probably how you got that idea in your head in the first place.

  • @snomankak

Yes, yes that is what I mean't :)

  • @TheCGIMaster Alright, good :)

  • @TheCGIMaster Actually guns a collective term for all firearms e.g. rifles, pistols

  • @MacDonaldSeumas

Ah, I see, my bad. (I have only used 1 rifle in my life. And that was back when I was a cadet.)

  • @TheCGIMaster It's cool dude what cadet were you/

  • @MacDonaldSeumas

2nd Royal Tank Regiment Cadet Force.

  • @TheCGIMaster Is that a canadian one or a british one?

  • @MacDonaldSeumas

    British.

  • @TheCGIMaster A gun refers to a firearm. The definition of a firearm is, "any weapon (including a starter gun)

which will or is designed to or may

readily be converted to expel a projectile

by the action of an explosive; (B)

the frame or receiver of any such

weapon; (C) any firearm muffler or firearm

silencer; or (D) any destructive device.

Such term does not include an

    antique firearm."

    According to the BATF.

  • @TheCGIMaster Yea because he dont know that :/

  • That's great Hickok! As an Aussie I love my Lithgow No1Mk3 and the .303 caliber.

Funny thing, because I grew up with the rimmed .303 cartridge I was used to stacking rounds in front of each other and when I first encountered unrimmed .308 and 30-06 cartridges I thought they were weird looking didn't like them. I have a great respect for them now of course, but I still love the old .303 a whole lot more. :)

  • hey where is all of the rest of your targets?

  • My favourite rifle of all time. Love mine.

  • yea i fired this bad boy , sweet gun hick xxx

  • @sarahscully1 Best part yet, in the UK one can be picked up for £300-400 and then with a few modifications theyre awesome

  • @kenny01622 Rubbish, Right? All guns, Apart from air rifles and shotguns are banned in the UK , I think you can still trade deactivated antique firearms though

  • dude i love my .303 throw a scope on there its amazing. ive taken many coyotes with this gun just puts them down.

  • do you own a rubin schmit k31?

  • rifleman . org. uk/Enfield_Video_Page.htm

Old Enfield training video. Buy 174 grain bullet

  • rifleman . org. uk/Enfield_Video_Page.htm

    Old Enfield training video.

  • can you load one 5 round stripper clip in this even though it has a ten round magazine and will it still fire?

  • That gun must just be out the packing... very few marks. doesnt even look like a charger has been used in it. nice find. Mines got alot of 'wear' marks. musta seen alot of action. Also noticed with ur bolt. When you shoot the bolt tilts up a fraction, must be from the spring in the bolt? ..Thier beautiful rifles, love those Singer sights! 1300m sightage heh.

  • $30 for 20 rounds of .303.

  • Haha it's the Aston Martin of bolt guns, not the Mercedes-Benz. --Cheers

  • Aimsurplus has some lead core FMJ .303 rounds for 13.95 a box

  • Do you use the ladder sight on this beautiful rifle often ?

  • eat this Gerry!

  • How much is ammuntition for the Enfield?

  • @TheHamiltonRifle Bout 50 cents US per shot

  • HOW BADS THE KICK

  • @americanpatriot43 4 out of ten

  • @americanpatriot43 Not bad at all, its fine once you put a few rounds through it

  • hey hickok45 im 17 years old. me and my dad shoot a lee enfield No.1 MK3. in one part of you video were the ammo would'nt load the problem was the rim of the last loaded bullit got cought behind the second. so it was sitting behind the second bullit in the magazine. so it was not the ammo. but may i suggest hpbt hollow points. less effected buy wind and more accurate. love the videos man.

  • Hey hickok do you have a 1903 springfild?

  • Good shooting man. I have a No.1 MK3, but in the market for a MK4. I see them around but they are always so beat up I never end up buying one. Any idea where I could buy a new stock for the No.1 MK4 if I decide to buy one ? Thanks.

  • sick rifle

  • In service, the wood was not varnished, just wiped over with oil. (Not sure what oil it was, it just came in a can) We did varnish some for 'ceremonial' duties.

I was just wondering what my first instructor would do every time he heard you call it a 'gun'. He used to shout things like 'it is a rifle!'

  • What Wind! Amazing shooting considering the weather conditions.

  • Beautiful wood on that. mine looked like crap until I replaced the stock. Funny thing was, min was supposedly never used.

  • Hey Hickok, by any chance do you have a French MAS-36?

  • Oh c'mon, Hickok....the Mercedes of bolt guns? Really?

This thing's ultimate target was Mercedes cars. Preferably with an idiot in the back with a ridiculously small moustache. What you have in your hands there is the Aston Martin of bolt guns. Hehe!!

  • Ending is epic! Curb Stomp! lol!

  • 7:48 weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • Definately my favourite rifle.

  • hey hickok45 where do you get your 303. ammo? i bought an enfield mk1 No.4 last weekend and the only ammo i found was remington ammo but its 28 bucks for 20 rounds thats bullshit man, ima try the gunshow this weekend to find some surplus ammo or somethin

  • Shoulda taken out that last plate with the revolver Hickok, Another great vid, The enfield action is one of the best ever produced for the front line soldier.

  • Speaking from a purely subjective angel, rim-lock is a bigger problem with the enfield magazines than many other military pattern guns. Maybe it's the increased spring tension from the larger capacity mag or the design of the feedlips but it seems to be very enfield specific. All rimmed cartridges are subject to it of course.

Of course it's not too much of an issue if you load it with the 5 round stripper clips. It's easy to take the time to load the clips carefully to ensure the correct order.

  • The video couldn't have ended in a better way, nice one :)

  • hickok45 is the only reson i go on to youtube anymore

  • Hey hickok, that Enfield is the best.

  • The Brits used to train rapid firing this rifle by operating the bolt with their thumb/index fingers and operating the trigger with their little (aka pinky) fingers.

  • lol love the end

  • so many people have these because after world war 2 the british and australian goverments had to shift millions of these rifles so they were dirt cheap. and thats why many people have an enfield rifle (:

  • @TheJosephagus heh, dirt cheap? i seen one at a local gun shot that was in pretty bad condition, and they wanted 1300 for it, bunch of crap, i want one so bad but cant find any worth buying, mostly because of the condition

  • @Beamos12 yeah i suppose because thats america and u guys didnt use the enfields, m1 garands might be alot cheaper over there and stuff. but age shouldnt really matter with enfields if there looked after half decently, we got a 70 year old mark...something i dont even know but i let it off the other day and it shoots very accurately. look up some aussie or british gunshops and see. back in the 50's-70's you could pick em up for a couple of hundred over here no problem

  • @TheJosephagus It's probably just that particular gun shop. I picked up my enfield for $400 in almost mint condition.

  • @Beamos12 They're going for about 400-450 bucks on Gunbroker.

  • that was funny at the end

    lol

  • When I was young lots of guys would buy those old Enfields from surplus centers or via mail order from the ads on the back of guns magazines. I haven't seen anyone shoot an Enfield since I was a teen. But watching Hickok shoot that 303 and cycle that flawless old bolt action and hearing that "DING" with each hit makes me want to shoot one. I can't explain it but it Looks like fun!

  • anyone else think theres something arousiong by the noise of the action on this enfeild ;D

  • Never seen a person your age run like that lol have you ever had your hands on a WW2 P38? Very nice gun (Enfield) how much one like that cost you?

  • What happened with the old shooting range

  • running up the hill ices the cake1 nice video

  • i'm coming to this guys house when zombies take over.

  • @C1iNTBEASTWOOD yeah me 2, ill see you there......

  • @C1iNTBEASTWOOD im going to fps russias

  • @C1iNTBEASTWOOD fuck that im going to FPSRussia's house.

  • @doggotbitm fuck that get your own guns, im staying at my house. Get armed.

  • Haha it's all good, ur a pistol man right?

  • Hey Hickok just wondering what is your most favourite gun to shoot out of all of the videos you've made?

  • Wow Hickok I like that exercise session @ the end..lol very very different .Keep up the good work.

  • Ahahaha, good stuff. Ya should have attached a bayonet and stabbed it ;)

  • You should find some cheap ammo and do a "Mad Minute" Vid with your .303! that would be cool!

  • yet another great, informative video! i really should pick one of these up in the new year...i know of a jungle carbine at a pawn shop not far from here. brilliant guns, love the enfield. one of the smoothest bolt actions ever designed.

  • I found one with the stock in not that great of condition at my local gun shop for around 120. Is this a good buy? Anybody know?

  • @RockerRocco1 I don't think you can beat the price of 120 dollars for any gun period... as long as it actually shoots.

  • @J3rEmY17 Right, I think I might pick it up. Very cool gun.

  • I had a no4 Mk 1 fine gun to shoot. had to sell it cause i needed money but i plan on buying a new one soon enough ;)

  • Hey Hickok do you have any flintlock or muzzle loading rifles?

  • @link000000, Check the Playlists.

  • @hickok45

Please do more videos of your Brown Bess! I'm thinking about buying one from Middlesex Trading Co. They seem to provide the best bang-for-your buck.

    Thank you!

  • @hickok45

my grandad used that rifle when he served in the black watch regiment. i feel sorry for whoever stepped in his sights. powerful gun. the taliban are using them by the way. when i was in sangin i found a few of these by some bodies.

wush i could have your aim though

  • @hickok45 When I retire from the military, I want a setup just like yours. With a LOT of land. You look like your living the life.

    Wish you were my grandfather.

  • CHARGE, lol. to bad you forgot your bayonet.

  • hickok45 "tactical run and gun"

  • Nice run didn't even get winded.

  • haha...love the ending and a new weapon..the Nike MK2 SZ13!...also being a british lad, makes me feel proud that we invented such a fine gun..

  • how far out is that?

  • Fairly common gun in Australia (well, as common as a gun can be all things considered) in fact it's the only firearm I've ever handled. Even so aparentlym

  • If you ever load stripper-clips for it you want to stack the rims over each other so the rim sits. down,up,down,up,down. That way they won't hang up.

  • Hey hickok can you try the FN Five Seven

  • Common problem with the rimmed case when loading the Enfield mag. The forward edge of the rim on the top cartridge ends up behind the rim of the lower cartridge preventing it from chambering. Not sure if the 5 round stripper would prevent it from occuring. If you check your video on the second reload you will see the top cartridge is snagged on the lower one. Hope this helps. Always looking forward to a new video.

  • I prefer Lee Emery's opinion better.

  • kill the germans. good old enfield.

  • Great close up's on the Enfield and of Hickok shooting. Very nice rifle. WOW, check out that running charge at the end, way to go.

  • Looked like an episode of cops at the end of the video!

  • haha towards the end notice the amount of dirt spray on the drum from the last target hickok had trouble hitting

  • Hickok45 charges down the hill! That was great! I am shocked that he did not draw the revolver at his hip. Then again, shooting that would have left him and John defenseless agains the zombies.

  • Why is hickoks comments always right and the person is wrong -___- hmmm hickok is too nice D:<

  • ha I was hoping you were gonna put the bayonet on to get that last zombie.. Or Nazi... Or Nazi Zombie.. Maybe next time... ha ha

  • I have two of the 7.62 NATO versions. The Model 2A built in India. I'd rather shoot them than my M1A/M-25 scoped rifle. The Enfields just feel so good, and the action is the fastest ever made, IMHO, and many others opinions also. The 2A's I have have 12 rd mags but don't have the peep sights. I have fired a 213 score on the Appleseed AQT, so it is fast enough to run with the auto's if the shooter can do his part.

  • That is a beautiful gun but the stock looks refinished this is just my opinion but i don't like it its to shiny and has no character

  • hey Hickok it would be nice to see a mad minute with that thing sometime i would do one but alias i no longer have mine do to things i could not control and no camera needed a stock for it though when i got it i had a nylon bolt on one. he gave me the grenade launcher that is the only part i have left to it and 2 mags. ya it's ez to get a rim lock loading them like that and not knowing about it. mine was a no.3 mk. 2 if i remember right made in 1943. it had U.S. property on it to?

  • If it was referbished it would say on the left side of the Action block FTR** Factory Thourogh Repair then the year mine is a No.1 Mk3, was made in 1918 and was redone in 1953 meaning it probably went through WWII, they are a gorgous gun and i intended to get a few more like the No.4 and maybe the No.5

  • is that barn back there riddled with holes?

  • Ha nice finish, I thought you were going to finish it off with your glock

  • where can I get one of these ?

  • isnt the 303 a rimmed cartridge? Nice ending

  • Way to finish em off at the end!

  • haha it seems like he was trying to trick the camera man so he took off running

  • haha the sprint to the target, classic. I've done that a few times when i exhaust my ammo.

  • I am always very impressed with your accuracy. I still can't hit a barn with my revolver if i was standing inside it.

  • Doesn't this mark his 4th year anniversary?

  • I love the Enfield. Just about everybody has or had one up here, fun gun. I think the Enfiled is the best Bolt Action Battle Rifle ever, besting the Mauser and Springfield. Too bad surplus ammo is just about dried up. Nice job Hickock45.

  • Ha ha I thought you were going to finish that last target off with your revolver

  • Hi Hickok, just wondering if you have a Kar98k and if you could do a video on it. If the Enfield is the Mercedes of bolt action then what would you consider the Kar98?

  • Another great video. Thanks man.

  • CHARGE!!!

  • When I watched this, the promoted video to the right was about airsoft guns. I think they picked the wrong channel to advertise on...

  • I just got my Enfield No4 a few months back...I really love the bolt on it.

  • Hickok, it would be great to see you give a review on any of the variants of the .303 Ross rifle; that is, if you can borrow or get your hands on one.

Damn accurate rifle, but problematic if fired quickly.

Anyways, thanks for everything from the neighbour to the north.

  • whats the oldest gun you have? not replica :)

  • The Lee Enfield and The M1 Grand have somthing in common:

They both can say in gun talk " Hottice Tottice Another Dead Nazi"

and the the Lee Enfiled and The M1 Grand did leave a lot of dead Nazi's on the ground.

    Good Shooting Mr. Hickok!

P.S " Cheeper Then Dirty is the best place to buy Ammo you will always find good deals. Just to let you know.

  • Talley Ho !!!

  • Fix Bayonets! Take That Hill!!!

  • See, persistence really does pay off. Get 'em one way or the other.

  • Great video as always. I don't think anyone would mind if John called the shots you for on these long range, no-optic videos.

  • very nice rifle and you're a pretty good shooter too :p

  • very nice rifle

  • Man i would love to shoot a 303, iv'e always been told thay are great guns and a great round, i loved this vid Hickok lolol!!

  • remember with the rimmed ammunition you have to load each rounds rim in front of the other, just like the mosin nagant. those were just misfeeds from the ammos rim hanging up on the rim underneath it.

  • "Im not gonna throw it.........." Poor mosin nagant :( lmfao

  • Beautiful Enfield always love watching your videos helped me pick out my first handgun purchase and always helpful tips on what to buy. Keep up the good work!

  • good shootin, nice gun. Got an Ishapore .308 myself, no .303's

  • Wouldn't it be a good idea for the camera man to chime in once in a while and tell you your missing high, low or off to the side? :)

  • @gsuizi I don't think I remember the cameraman ever making a sound in one of Hickok's videos.

  • have you ever done anything with silencers?

  • WOW! Sgt. York took the hill!

  • Being a woodworker by trade and a firearms enthusiast I always love to see high quality firearms that have lasted for decades, even longer on occasion. The wood has developed a beautiful patina and IMO whatever dents, scratches, etc just add to the personality. That would make a fine addition to any firearms collection, especially mine...

  • That is hilarious, kicking it over...

but how many of you were expecting the side arm to come out?

  • Great firearm I have a spike bayonet of my fathers that made the beaches of Normandy. These are still being reissued to the Canadian Rangers in the North..

  • I wish I had a Grampa like u! Ur a Baddass guy! Love all ur vids

  • I totally thought he was gonna get closer, then the glock was coming out at the end :-)
