  • Quake III Arena still lives in my heart even today! Hooray for Quake!

  • id Software FTW!

  • Great interview... Yeh.. I got the same problem as Todd.. Sensitivity to motion.. I can't play racecar games, no amusement park rides such as going around and around in circles..else I get dizzy.. I'm a big fan of Quake2. and Quake 3.. Would like to see remakes of those games using Id tech 5 engine..That would be awesome.. Valve doing a remake of Half-life TFC.. using id tech 5. Super Awesome

  • Todd Hollenshead IS A TRUE LEGEND TO GAMING!

  • i thought it was ID not i'd :P

  • Q3A has some of the best gameplay ever. Why do the characters move so slow in modern fps's? Take MW2 for example; I'm pretty sure I can run faster in real life. It takes away from agility-type strategy. Whatever happened to being so good that you can win with a 50-0 score? Even the best mw2 players can't touch that due to their sluggish movement.

  • Thanks alot!! i love the game!

  • Todd Hollenshead = 666

  • Todd and Carmack, what an A team alone!!!!

  • AWESOME INTERVIEW THANKS ALOT!!!

The end about mod contests sounds deeply interesting ;)

  • I'm glad they are doing this browser based it should be a real pain in the ass for cheating asshole punks that ruined Quake III in the first place.

This should be way better. Quake III was pretty much a perfect game in my opinion, bring it back id!!!

This along with World of Warcraft will make the PC a real contender for gaming again. I just cancelled my WoW account though, 70 druid and rogue geared out for pve and pvp if anyone wants to buy it message me :P

  • All software is hackable... It's just a matter of time. Enjoy it while it lasts

  • no mods for quake live = fails

  • It might be added later by them, and I believe at some point there will be a ''free-sharing'' thing.

The game is not even released retard, jeez. -

  • fuc you man

    they deconfirmed it already

  • UT3 feels the same as UT2004 in terms of game play. Sure the graphics looks better, but that's all that feels like is different so I don't think many people want to switch for prettier graphics.

  • The gameplay is actually quite different. UT3 is more like UT'99, where UT2K3/2K4 were really in a league of their own. They both have their qualities, though ultimately I think the majority of people favor UT3/'99, because it's not so much about long distance aiming and shock combo's. UT2K4 is faster and more complex in terms of movement, but UT3 is in the end a faster game because you kill faster. The only problem with UT3 is that it caters to camping more than the others.

  • who cares, quake 3 is still much better.

  • Good video.

Only missed a question about the failure of Unreal Tournament 3("no one" plays it online compared to UT2004). What are QuakeLives views on that because its such a similar MP game.

  • What he's saying near the end of the video about mod contests of some sort really gets my hopes up for promode gameplay in Quakelive. How cool would that be.

  • It already plays like promode, according to the interviews I've read it has promode physics!!!

They also tweaked the vanilla maps according to the pro versions.

Sounds like it's gonna be a blast.

  • Thanks for the upload!
